Yes, I should have waited for the snowstorm to pass instead of driving through it. But I wanted to get home from my ski trip to see my two girls. Luckily, some of my friends had left yesterday and missed this mess.
After what Becky's husband tried to pull on me, I wanted to be in the safe environment of my own home.
My friend, Becky, was a little pissed when I told her to put a leash on her husband. Palming my ass during a dance, and telling me he wanted to have sex with me was neither wanted nor encouraged.
His excuse? "Hell, you have that body, in those skinny jeans and perky tits, and don't want men to want to fuck you?!"
"Well, maybe I just like to look good and be desirable. But that doesn't mean I'm a slut, so hands off!" Becky was reading him the riot act when I left. Soon I was heading home, storm be damned!
The snow drifts on the roads to Montreal were becoming dangerous. The thought of being stranded, miles from home in a remote area, was making me anxious. My iPhone warned about poor reception, which didn't help either.
Still, I was managing alright in my 4wd suv until a huge elk ran in front of me. I braked hard, swerved and slid into a snowbank, and the angle kept me stuck in spite of 4wd.
Every effort to dig out was frustrating, as my clothes got wet from laying on the ground as I dug. Unfortunately, there was now zero phone reception in the stormy weather.
After a couple of hours, my fuel was at 1/8 of a tank, and the thought of no heat after running out terrified me. It was 15Β° outside and dropping.
Fifteen minutes after the suv died, I was shivering both from fear and from being in wet clothes. Falling asleep in these conditions was a death sentence, so I had to fight to stay awake.
I was bundled in two sweaters and my coat but my body heat kept dropping.
"So cold....so cold"...
That was the last thing I remembered, then sleep overcame me.
"It's so warm...so warm...I thought, but wait! Where am I? How did I get in this bed? And...what happened to my clothes?"
A different kind of fear taunted my mind as I realized this was someone's house, maybe a cabin? I was naked and afraid.
I said, "Hello. Hello, is someone here?" In a few moments, there was a knock on the door. As the door opened, a tall young man asked, "Ms. Chancerly, are you alright? You had me worried out there in the storm."
I pulled the quilts up to my chin and nervously said, "Where am I, and who are you? Where the hell are my clothes?!"
The handsome young man said, "It's ok, Ms Chancerly, you're safe in my cabin, and your clothes are drying by the fire."
"Well, how did I get here,...and what's your name?"
"Fontaine, Alex Fontaine," he politely responded.
"Oh, like 'Bond, James Bond'," I said with a grin, and he laughed.
"That's a good one, Ms..."
"Please, call me Jeanne, Alex. After all, we're not exactly strangers anymore after you took all my clothes off, are we?"
Alex blushed and started to apologize, but I interrupted and thanked him for rescuing me. He was relieved and said,
"Well, it isn't every day I get to rescue a beautiful woman and bring her to my castle, so we're even."
Now I blushed a little. Here's a handsome man at least 5 years younger than me, who has seen me naked calling a mother of two kids, "beautiful. " Sure I was flattered.
"Jeanne, I'll be in the kitchen finishing up our hot food. Just take your time and make yourself at home. There's some of my sweats and a pair of new socks for you until your clothes are dry. There on the chair. I'll be here when you're ready."
"Thank you, Alex, that's sweet of you. Is your wife or girlfriend here," I asked, ( to find out if he's single ).
"No, I'm... well, my girlfriend and I broke up a while back, so..."
I apologized and told Alex I would be ready in a few minutes. ( But first, I needed to pee so bad! )
My legs were a bit weak yet, and I took a few extra minutes to adjust and to make myself presentable. I giggled, knowing I was doing it for him. His sweat pants needed to be rolled up, and his t-shirt with a "Ranger Boats" logo smelled really good.
In the kitchen, Alex was singing, "Gettin' you Home" along with the CD by Chris Young;
"Walkin' through the front door
Seein' your black dress hit the floor
Uh honey, there sure ain't nothin'
Like you lovin' me all night long,
And all I can think about is gettin' you home."
I leaned against the doorway and watched his cute butt move as he finished the stew. Then I startled him as I said, "Wow, Alex, you rescue stranded damsels and sing songs to them while you cook for them. How the hell have you stayed single?"
He laughed and said the stew was hot and ready. And I thought, "Hmmm, maybe I'm feeling a little hot too, mister!"
Alex was a solid seven in looks and build. He stood about six feet tall, with a nice body and no beer belly. But his warmth was his best feature.
Still, I'd be lying if I didn't wonder what he looked like without those jeans on.
But I needed to contact my girls, so I asked for my phone.
"It's there, with your purse," he said.
I eventually got through to my folks and assured them I was fine. I gave them the address of Alex's cabin and said I would get home as soon as possible.
Alex said he would have a tow truck get my vehicle unstuck, but it could be 2 or 3 days since it was still snowing hard.
My folks were relieved I had been rescued, though concerned about being alone out here with a young man I'd just met.
I said, "Dad, Alex saved me from freezing to death. I owe him my life and I trust him. He's been a real gentleman." And dad just said, "Be careful, ok, honey. Stay warm and get home soon."
I told my kids I love them and not to worry. But after I hung up, I lost it. Tears flowed as I balled out loud. Here's, Alex, with a 30 year old mom having a breakdown in his kitchen. Alex stepped closer to comfort me as he gently put a hand on my shoulder.
I grabbed him and sqeezed him tight, needing a firm hug as I let it all out. I think it shocked him! But damn, it felt good to be in his arms.
Alex took a kleenex and blotted my tears away. He was so gentle and caring, as though we were...close. I thanked him and apologized for falling apart. He smiled and said,
"Jeanne, you've been through a lot, and you have nothing to apologize for. Your kids are safe, you're safe with me, and I promise to take care of you."
