Derek couldn't believe he got stuck going on this business trip with Rose. The boss had sent them both to attend the sales convention to find leads on potential business partners. Rose was competent at her job, but Derek found her very annoying. She was always going on and on about her ex-husband.
"Not a day goes by that I'm not grateful to be free of that piece of work," Rose said, "I will say it is hell to divorce a cop though. They make your life miserable all the way through it."
"Uhuh," Derek replied.
"Did I ever tell you how I caught him cheating on me?" she asked. Before Derek even had a chance to respond she continued. "The idiot actually took her to a restaurant I used to waitress at," she explained, "My friends that still work there texted me and sent me pictures of the whole thing. I tell you I went through the roof Derek."
"Uhuh," Derek replied.
Rose could tell Derek was barely listening. She didn't care. The pain was still fresh, and she was free now. She was going to say and do whatever she wanted. One thing Rose decided was that she was going to have fun on this trip. It had been a while since she got to enjoy her sexuality. Her ex-husband was selfish in bed, and she wasn't getting any during the divorce.
As the plane landed, Derek quickly grabbed his luggage and talked about checking in to the hotel, hoping to get Rose talking about something else. "Are you looking forward to the convention?" Derek asked.
"Yeah," Rose said, "Hopefully there will be some good guys there."
Derek laughed and asked, "Are you planning to hook up with someone?"
"Why not?" she asked, "I need to get back out there. Especially after that-"
"Loser ex-husband," Derek interrupted, "Yeah. Yeah. I know."
Rose scoffed, "Well aren't you fresh with the mouth."
"A piece of advice," Derek said, "Guys at the convention will respond better to you if you talk about literally anything else."
Rose crossed her arms and the two were silent all the way to their respective hotel rooms.
As Rose was getting ready in her room, she thought about what Derek said. She thought she would make a point to show Derek that she knows exactly how to get a man's attention, just to prove him wrong.
Derek finished getting dressed for the convention, wearing a grey sports coat and long pants. His tight, button-down shirt hinted at his thin and athletic body. He knocked on Rose's door. "Are you ready to go?"
Rose opened the door, revealing herself in a sultry red dress. It hugged her body closely, accentuating her slender frame. Her long curly blonde hair seemed to have greater volume and bounce than when she was on the plane. She leaned against the door frame and crossed her arms, drawing attention to her perky breasts. "I'm ready if you are," she said with a playful giggle.
Derek's eyes went wide as he stared at her for a moment. Rose laughed. "I guess I don't need your advice after all," she replied, "Seems I can get a guy's attention just fine."
Derek shook his head. "I'm just surprised you even know what a dress is," he replied. Rose gave Derek the middle finger as she walked ahead of him. Derek followed behind Rose, checking out her ass in that dress. He found himself getting oddly aroused by her.
Rose did get a fair amount of attention from guys at the convention. She enjoyed feeling the eyes of desire on her. It made her feel sexy in a way she hadn't felt in a really long time. Though she was getting a lot of conversations, she found it hard not to veer to the topic of her ex-husband, which seemed to damper their moods. 'Damn it,' she thought, 'even when he is out of my life that loser ex-husband can still ruin my good time.'
