A story that I wrote from a few experiences in life. It is fictional.
"Don, are you going to sulk all your life because Dana left you?" Kevin asked.
"No, but damn I thought she was the one, we dated for 3 years going through college and then after we graduate, she just up and moved. I didn't know what happened to her. Hell, I called the police and filed a missing person on her. That's how I found out she moved to Georgia."
"Yeah, that was wrong of her, but you have to get up and move on."
"I know, just give me a little time. I don't want any kind of relationships far a while."
Three days later.
"Ok Don, I know you don't want to but Jan has a cousin coming in town and she is making me drag you out with us. You are coming with us Friday night because I don't want to have a bad weekend also."
"Oh great, I can see it now, "The Cousin", I just know this will turnout well. I will go but you let them know I have been under the weather so I can't promise how long I will stay out."
"Great, will do, be at Fred's at 7pm. Thanks dude."
Friday night 6:30pm.
"Hey Kevin, I don't want to go, tell Jan I am really sick."
"No way dude, just fucking show up, have a drink, chat a little while then make up some lame excuse to leave. I am not having Jan pissed all weekend because you didn't show. You know how she is when she wants something."
"Ok, ok, I'll be there, just cover for me a little and remind her I wasn't feeling well."
Don showed up at Fred's at 7:05pm and told the bouncers he was with Kevin and Jan so they let him in. He saw Kevin walking from the bar as soon as he entered and yelled at him to let him know he was there.
"Thank goodness you made it, Jan was giving me the evil eye, we are sitting at the last corner table behind the bar."
"Ok, let me get a drink and I'll meet you there."
When Don got to the bar, he stood next to a girl waiting to be served and the first thing he noticed was her shoulder length light blue hair. The second thing he noticed was her breast sticking out like torpedoes. She was also a nice looking girl.
"Hey Fred," he yelled, "give my usual in a tall glass."
"Give me a minute, be right with you. Are you okay? Good to see you finally out." He yelled back.
"Yeah, Kevin begged me so I came to meet them here."
"Hey, how come you can get waited on so quick and we have to wait?" the girl next to Don yelled at him.
"What are you drinking?" Don asked her.
"Top shelf margarita, tall glass," she said back with a smile.
"Hey Fred, get me a top shelf margarita in a tall glass also."
"Will do, on it right now."
Fred brought over two of each drink over to Don. "Top shelf Margarita and Tito's and cranberry. Two for one hour" he said and smiled.
"Here you go miss, enjoy," Don told her while sliding the two drinks toward her.
Don saw another friend and went to say hello then made his way to the table with Kevin and Jan. To his surprise and Her's, was the blue haired girl sitting with them.
They looked at each other and smiled.
"Jan introduced them, "Tina, this is Don, Don, Tina."
"Nice meeting you Tina, seems we met somewhere before."
"Yeah, you look familiar also," she smiled.
The evening was going ok and Don asked Tina if she wanted to get another drink since he was getting another one.
They had another two for one drink at the bar and after a moment Tina asked, "Can you take me somewhere? I am getting a small buzz on and don't want to get drunker."
"Sure, I am ready to leave also, let's let Kevin and Jan know."
They walked back to the table and Tina told Jan that Don offered to drop her off at friend's house and she would call her in the morning.
They hugged and Don told Kevin he was going home after he dropped Tina off.
When they got to Don's car, Tina stopped, looked at his car and said, "Nice damn car, what is it?"
"It was a Bentley Mulsanne that got wrecked pretty bad in the rear. One of my many hobbies is body work so I was able to buy it at an auction for a good price. I pieced it together with some other body parts I found at a foreign bone yard and customized it. I also did the paint job."
"Very nice, you must be really talented."
