They entered the fancy apartment and she was overwhelmed by its vast size, and taken aback by the simple furnishings. She would have expected more opulence as they were in one of the most expensive locations in the area, but knowing him better now, the simplicity of the grey fabric sofas and muted wooden kitchen suited him. There was an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, but her attention was immediately drawn to the floor to ceiling windows the spanned the entire length of the room. Even though it was dark outside, as it was a clear night the view was spectacular. The almost-full moon shone brightly onto the gently lapping waves below, creating glittering patterns with the water's movement.
'Wow.' She couldn't help but breath out a gentle exclamation at the beautiful sight. He chuckled slightly at her reaction as he walked over to the kitchen area. She was motionless by the front door, mesmerised by the view.
'Would you like a glass of red wine?' He asked, waking her from her daydreams.
'Um... yes, please.' She answered, blushing slightly at being caught ogling the view. She walked over to the window, not daring to get too close lest she leave fingerprints or breath marks on the pristine glass. Looking out she could see a balcony half the width of the windows with rattan effect table and chairs. Beyond that she could see the lights of the coast road and city they had just left twinkling in the distance. She sighed as he brought over her glass of wine, keeping one for himself.
'Are you ok?' he asked as he handed her the delicate crystal.
'Oh, yes. I'm fine.' He raised a questioning eyebrow at her. 'There's honestly nothing wrong, I just can't believe that someone could have such a beautiful view from their apartment.' She explained. 'Also,' she continued, looking coyly to the floor, 'I can't believe that I'm here. With you.' She looked up and took a sip of her wine as her gaze caught his. He gave a sultry smile and his eyes smouldered, 'Well I'm very pleased you're here. With me.
'Would you like to go outside? It's quite mild.' He said as he indicated to the balcony with his free hand. She smiled and gave an emphatic nod. He led the way, unlocking and opening the door. There was a slight breeze as they stepped out, causing her to shiver slightly and goosebumps to appear on her exposed arms. He shed the leather jacket he had neglected to remove and placed it over her shoulders. She jumped slightly as he placed it down, she could feel the heat held in the jacket warming her. Her shivers returned at the slight graze of his fingertips across her neck, as he gently pulled her waist-length brown hair free of the jacket.
'Are you still cold?' He asked, eyebrows pulling down in concern.
'No, no.' She answered, a slight colour to her cheeks. 'I'm fine.'
She followed him to the rail, which came up to just below her breasts, and was covered in opaque glass. As she walked, she could feel the effect of his light touch between her legs, her blush deepened at the amount of wetness she could feel there. He'd barely touched her and she was already soaked and aching for him. She took a sip of the wine in the hope it would calm her, sadly the room temperature red wine, though deep and flavourful, did little to cool her rising libido.
'Your apartment is amazing.' She commented in a slightly croaky voice.
'Thank you, it is lovely but it's big and impersonal. It's the view that makes it. If I could have a big, cozy house here, with this view, it would be perfect.'
'Yes, the view caught my attention as soon as I walked in.'
'I noticed.' He said with a smirk. She gave a short laugh of embarrassment.
'Don't worry, everyone who comes here is the same, but very few people get to see the moon here like this.' She wasn't entirely sure what he was trying to tell her, but her heart warmed nonetheless. 'Then I thank you for the opportunity.'
They lapsed into a comfortable silence, both enjoying the wine and the view while throwing surreptitious glances at each other. They took note of details about the other, the way his dark blonde hair seemed to glow in the moonlight, the light touch of her tongue to her lip after each sip of wine, the way she rubbed up and down on the stem of the wine glass. They could both feel the tension building, but neither knew who would be the first to break it.
Dispensing with the covert glances, he allowed himself to stare and feast on her beauty. She knew what he was doing, but she struggled to work up the courage to look his way. Eventually, steeling herself with a last sip of wine, she glanced over. She bit her lip as she took in the intense look on his face, and it was this that tipped him over the edge. He took her wineglass and placed it on the table with his own. Then he took her face in his hands and gave her a long and deep kiss, plundering her mouth with his tongue. She could barely keep up; her head was swimming with the touch and taste of him. The jacket fell to the floor but she barely noticed, she could do little other than hold on to the sides of his shirt, as he moved his hands to her hair and continued the passionate kiss. She started to feel a little lightheaded, so reluctantly she took a step back out of his reach. He looked at her, confusion mixed with a little hurt in his turbulent green eyes.
'What's wrong?' He asked, his voice rough with arousal.
