Another ridiculous story from my twisted imagination. All participants depicted here are over 18. I am not a professional writer, so just enjoy the story with all its flaws.

The sign above the store read 'Grey Dragon Games Shop'.
This was the place. Claire looked at the junk in the window. Games, dice, comics, gruesome little figurines, model war machines and space ships. All the geekiest, nerdiest crap on the planet. Stuff she literally had NO time for. And yet here she was. Why? Sex. At least that was the plan. A ludicrous plan, to be sure, but a plan nonetheless...
***
Claire was a third-year Nursing student. Two months ago she had dumped her cheating dirtbag of a boyfriend. Jake had been one of those overconfident overbearing jocks. Hockey star, swimming champ, tall, svelte, muscular, and oh so delectable. Such a bod! Too bad it was capped off by a giant ego and a tiny brain. She'd had her share of boyfriends in high school and now in University. And they'd all been really nice, physically at least. But once you got past their looks, they were absolute garbage.
She hadn't had much choice in guys most of the time, because Claire herself was stunning. You'd think that such a beautiful girl would get any guy she wanted. Not Claire. At 6' 2" she was far taller than average for a girl, and this made the shorter guys shy away from her. Most men didn't like dating a woman who towered over them. Once she put heels on, an average guy looked like a shrimp next to her. She wasn't heavy, she was just tall. With nice curves, too. A 'decent rack' was how her tits were usually described. Not small, but not huge either. Her breasts fit her frame nicely.
She hadn't always been the 'hot chick'. No, she was what her mother consoled her with, 'a late bloomer'. She'd always been tall, but until the summer after Grade 11 she was a bean pole. Then she finally blossomed into a shape that made guys notice her. Boobs, hips, and curves. The changes in her body affected her coordination and balance too, and she switched from Track & Field to swimming and volleyball. More guys were interested in her then, but only the tall, muscle-head jocks seemed to be brave enough to actually ask her out.
Claire was 18 before she ever went out on a date. Her first boyfriend was only interested in bragging rights, and dumped her after they finally had sex. She discovered then that she liked sex, but was pissed that she was considered just a conquest. Why couldn't she find a nice guy, someone she could really enjoy spending time with?
If she was shorter, like average height for a girl, she would have had suitors lined up around the block. But being so tall she seemed to attract only the big, dumb sports jocks. Yeah, that's a bit of a generalisation. Not all those guy are that bad, but it seemed like all the really good ones were already in relationships. Somehow, Claire had never met one of those good ones at the right time, and had been stuck with a succession of losers.
And now here she was. After dumping Jake, she filled her evenings binge-watching netflix or youtube or whatever crappy old movies were on. Her sex life was reduced to bouts of masturbation when the urge got to be too overwhelming. That sucked. Her girlfriends tried taking her out a couple of times, but all the cute guys were also short guys, and they were totally intimidated by Claire, the tall raven-haired beauty.
She was clicking through a series of old movie clips on YouTube one Friday evening, and ran across a scene from an old 80's flick 'Revenge Of The Nerds'. Some creepy little nerd had just rocked the sorority girl's world, and when she asked him about it he said "All jocks ever think about is sports. All we ever think about is sex." Claire laughed, yeah that part about jocks was pretty true. True enough to be funny, anyways. 'Hmmm,' she thought, 'is that bit about Nerds true, too?'
She'd taken enough sociology and psychology classes to know that most stereotypes were bogus, but also that there was often a grain of truth in them. Would one of those geeks be any good in bed? She'd never dated anyone like that. None of her girlfriends had either. Who did Nerds date? Girl nerds? Was there such a thing? Her social circle was rather restricted in that regard. All her friends were on the swim team or volleyball team or in her nursing classes. Claire didn't really know anyone who she would classify as a 'nerd', at least not the weird gamer/comic/fanboy that the stereotype seemed to represent.
At this point, she was utterly bored with her social life, almost to the point of desperation. 'Face it Claire,' she told herself, 'you ARE desperate. Masturbating on a Friday night is NOT a social life.' She had tried other venues for meeting guys and had come up empty. At least for decent boyfriend material. All she could find were shallow, obnoxious jerks looking for a quickie. She had tried that a couple of times and it was never satisfying or even that much fun, truth be told.
'Fuck it. Anything is better than this. Maybe I should find myself a nerd.' she thought. Where would she find the kind of geek she was looking for? Right now, probably in the Computer Science Building on campus playing Dungeons and Dragons, or in their parent's basement playing video games. Or maybe a comic book store. Yeah, just like on the Big Bang Theory.
Oh god, no! Was she a real-life Penny?! Noooooo! Was her life really devolving into a trashy sitcom? Despite this embarrassing realisation, Claire was still horny. 'Fine,' she thought, she would try it. Just once. Pick up a Nerd and make his year. Where was the local comic store? A quick internet search found a couple, and one was really close by, called Grey Dragon Games Shop. Tomorrow was Saturday, the place should be full of potential targets.

Claire had dressed down, as down as she could get by digging deep into her closet for the drabbest, baggiest clothes she could find. Sweatpants, hoodie, and plain black & white Converse sneakers. No makeup. She usually didn't use much, but none at all was a rare thing for her. She was still tall, but the rest of her charms were hidden away. She had to keep a low profile, because she knew that she might otherwise completely intimidate most of the geeks at the comic shop. Time to go hunting at the Grey Dragon.

Claire pulled the door open and walked in. Wow, someone had some serious BO. It was a not-so-subtle undercurrent in the air here. That would be a turn-off for sure. She wandered around the store. It was small and cramped, with shelves and displays making the aisles too narrow for people to easily pass both ways. There were a half a dozen guys in the back of the store, playing some table top game with figurines. They were noisy and exuberant about it. A couple of people were flipping through racks of comic books.
Wow, this was EXACTLY like the comic shop in The Big Bang Theory. Claire felt stupid being here. She was about to bail when someone asked "Can I help you, uh, miss?".
She turned to find a fairly average looking guy. Average height too, so she towered over him. His store name tag said 'Gary' on it. "Uh, no, just browsing. Thanks."
