Dee was a supervisor in a call center. She hated the long days and the long hours that her job entailed. She just wanted something or someone to come along, and make life a little more worth her while. She would look at the all the young guys that she worked with and would think to herself, "jailbait."
Dee was 32, single and hating it. Most of her friends were married and her single friends had boyfriends. One morning, she was asked to run a training class for new hires because the trainer had called out sick. As much as she didn't want to do it, she knew what had to be done.
She walked into the class and thought, "Great, these guys look fun." As she searched around the room with her eyes someone caught her attention. He stood about 6'4", medium in build, blond hair, crimson red lips and deep blue eyes. She grinned to herself and though, "He's really cute,β and did everything she could do to control her giggling. A few hours later, she sent the class on break. He was the only one that didn't leave.
"You alright? Do you need to know where anything is?" Dee asked.
"No, I just had a question. There was something I wasn't sure about on this."
"Ron, right?"
"No, it's Rob," He said and smiled.
"Oh, sorry about that. I'm usually good with names, but I'm definitely better with faces." Rob spent his break in the class with Dee to go over a few things. In those 15 minutes she felt a really weird connection to this guy. There was something about him she liked; she just wasn't sure what it was.
The next 4 hours went by quick and she hated saying goodbye to Rob, because she knew she wouldn't be back in the class anytime soon. She would just have to wait until he got out of class to say hi to him again.
The three weeks Rob was in class went by kind of fast. She would smile at him if they passed in the hallway, but never had the nerve to actually talk to him. One night, while Dee was pulling a later shift, she got a phone call from one of the supervisors who worked there. He called to tell her he was having a party the next night and wanted her to go. He also asked her to bring Rob, because he didn't have a ride. This would be the perfect opportunity for her to get to talk to him.
The next night, Dee waited outside Rob's house for him to come out. He looked just as good outside of work as he did in. He gets in her car and the small talk begins.
"I didn't know you were friends with Shane," Dee said as she backed out of Rob's driveway.
"Yeah, he's cool. He got me the job," Rob said.
