Sam dropped into the sofa with a long sigh. He was absolutely knackered. It had been a long day and all he wanted was to curl up and go to sleep. But nope, there was still plenty that he should do tonight. But first, a beer was definitely called for. He took a long draw on the beer that had been sat next to him on the living room table. He sighed as he relaxed back into the sofa and closed his eyes. He was just starting to drop off accidentally when was jolted fully awake by someone else coming through the living room door. It was Sofie, one of his new flat mates. He had only moved in a month before but was already starting to become very friendly with each of the people he lived with, though he hadn't spent nearly as much time with Sofie as the others. He knew her job was pretty full on and had her out at all times of day and night, though had never actually managed to work out what it was exactly.
"Hey."
Sofie jumped "Oh God! I thought you were all out!" Sam sat up a bit straighter to look at her while trying to hide a laugh. His heart skipped. He'd known that Sofie was good looking, at a party the week before the flat had unanimously voted her the cutest of the lot, but she usually wore baggy clothing. Right now he could see that her body was absolutely incredible as well. Nice toned muscles, a cute butt and beautiful, perky tits all of which was on complete display as she stood there in nothing but a bralette and underwear.
"I had to dip out of the cinema. I had some things to do instead. Though I kind of ran out of motivation so beer and sofa seemed like a better choice."
Sofie sighed "Same. I was going to go with beer and bed but could do with the company if you don't object?"
Sam smiled "Of course. The more the merrier." Sofie walked to the kitchen to get another beer from the fridge as Sam readjusted his shorts to hide the quickly growing erection as he tried to not stare at her as she walked.
She got back quickly and dropped onto the sofa with the exact same sigh as Sam had given a few minutes earlier. This time Sam did laugh. "That good, huh?"
Sofie took a long drink of the beer before putting it down to pull one of the many blankets that were scattered about the room over her legs, to Sam's disappointment. Though at least now he'd have to just focus on not staring at her boobs as opposed to her boobs and legs. "You know how it is. Same shit different day. And yet you'd have thought with all the practice I'd had at this same shit I'd be better at dealing with it by now."
Sam's laugh this time was just a little less humor and a little more bitter "Life's a bitch and then you die huh?"
It was Sofie's turn to laugh "Exactly. Though at least there are times with beer, friends and fun between being fucked over by the universe."
"Cheers to that"
They both sat and drank in silence for a couple of minutes after that. Sam was just trying to come up with something to say when Sofie spoke "So you're new into town right? What brought you to our little corner of paradise?"
Sam smiled a little sadly "My last relationship ended badly and I got fired same week. And most of my friends were from one of those two."
Sofie looked horrified "Oh god, I'm so sorry. That's awful."
"Don't worry about it. Right now I'm just focused on trying to move past it. And the new job is great, and the town seems really cool and moving into this flat with you guys has been an absolute blessing. Honestly it feels like I landed on my feet right here. I mean don't count your chickens and all that but this seems like a great place to have accidently ended up. What about you? How did you end up here?"
Sofie didn't look completely convinced but definitely a bit less worried she'd put her foot in it. "Ok. Well I mean I'm born and raised here. I grew up fifteen minute walk from here. I left for university and went travelling for a little bit but then my parents got ill so I came back to help with them and ended up with my dream job. So even after they got better I decided to hang around and see where that went. And it's definitely working out well enough so far"
Sam smiled wide "It seems like it. I mean your job title is fancy enough at least. I saw your name badge the other day and recognized at least two thirds of the words written on it."
Sofie seemed to blush a little but smiled wide "Yeah, and it's not exactly the sort of thing you can find in any town or city. So it works out pretty well here for me. From a work front at least."
"Is that a part of the same shit?" Sam smiled wide before he took a long drink.
Sofie pulled a face "I don't like to date people I work with and I grew up here and someone in my family knows anyone of my age who's been here for any real length of time. A town like this, that doesn't leave to many people in the dating pool. In fact that was what I dipped out of the cinema for. I was meant to be having a date tonight. My first one in ages."
Sam smiled in what he hoped was a sympathetic manner "And the fact you're here doesn't bode particularly well?"
It was Sofie's turn to take a long drink "He bailed on me half an hour before we were meant to meet up. Just 'Sorry, somethings come up, maybe another time'. And I was on my way down to find a beer to at least partially down my sorrows" She took another long drink, this time with a slightly more dramatic flair that Sam laughed at, before she put her drink down on the coffee table and smiled wide "so I guess it's a good job you're here to make me feel better about that"
Sam took a moment to speak. As she'd leaned over to put her drink down he'd gotten a perfect view down her bralette at her cleavage. He forced himself to refocus on her before smiling wide and finishing his beer off. "That's what friends are for. Company through misery." The drink had definitely started going to his head a little and made him more confident than he probably would have been otherwise "Though I don't know who would be stupid enough to cancel a date with you."
Sofie laughed "I know! I mean look at me!" She pulled the blanket away from her legs and gestured to her body. "Who would turn down a date with this?"
Sam opened his mouth to try and respond but couldn't think of anything, panicking slightly about what would be the right thing to say.
Sofie continued "I mean I was wondering about you. I've been sitting here like this and you've barely even checked me out. I almost thought you hadn't been at all until I noticed that" She smile, wide and winked, as she pointed to the now very obvious bulge in his shorts.
Sam blushed red and tried to cover up. Sofie laughed "Don't worry about it. I'm taking it as a compliment. It makes me feel better right now. Though it does also help I've had a bit of a crush on you for this month." She blushed red "That drink might have gone to my head a little"
Sam started "Really?! You had a crush on me?"
Sofie gave him a bit of a look "Did you think I'd be hanging out with you dressed like this otherwise?"
Sam blushed again with a bit of a laugh "Honestly my higher brain functions hadn't really gotten that far. I was somewhat distracted."
