New in town, Eddie has reached a point in his career where he wants to slow down. His friends all have families. Kids birthdays, Weddings and anniversaries, he wants the dream. Always exploring the culture and activities in the various cities he's lived, he's late to the dance class he signed up for at the community center.
Stella, has been a dance instructor for a few months. Trying to reignite what used to be her passion. She performed in multiple disciplines. Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Her Mother Belly danced, introducing her to performance art as a child. That was a long time ago. Marriage and children took center stage. Taking a few classes was a way to get herself back. Her individual freedom. Something many often oftentimes deemphasize.
Dancing does not come easy to him. Eddie struggles with the technique, but moreover, doesn't enjoy the spotlight, even in things he excels at. It's a mental flaw. Performing in an arena completely foreign is just what he needs to do. Getting out of his comfort zone has been suggested, most importantly, by his therapist. Extremely difficult, but Stella has a way about her that makes it fun.
She has an ease to go with her allure. Of course she is unmistakably attractive, but her hip movement and posture are tactile.
Eddie slowly realized, his eagerness to learn her craft, was more about his innocent crush than getting out of his comfort zone.
He thinks about her in ways that are new and exciting. Never having enough time for a real relationship, Stella's charisma and sultry eyes hypnotic to him, she is an obsession in dreams. Wondering at night, forgetting about the impossibility of realizing it, he yearns for her mouth. Dreams of passionate kisses from the dance floor. He objectifies her curves at night. Pleasing him. Advancing his desire, to romance in his head, the feeling of her skin on his. The dreams increased. The intensity for her, going further than the dance floor, undeniable.
Eddie's tardiness concerns her. She's developed a bond with Him. Her satisfaction from falling in love with dancing not withstanding, her eagerness to have him hold her thrilling. So much so, she directs the class to working with their partners on an upbeat routine. Her fingers firmly crossed, while looking at the door intently, He arrives to her delight and immediate relief.
She's happy to introduce the new routine. Even happier to both, that he's the only student that doesn't have a partner. She will have to be his. Unbeknownst to her, Stella has been his muse since the beginning. He has seduced her to fulfillment in his dreams. The initial admiration for her complexity and intelligence, replaced with obsession of her body. The truth in him, completely about her, has nothing to do with what she looks like. She is a Goddess. Held in the highest of form. He has to create the moment. He must not leave without the expression. It's an awakening to be authentic. Opportunity, fancied or real, can never be without expression. His hands sweat.
