Jake died in the early hours of Sunday morning when a car weaved into oncoming traffic and hit him head on. He didn't feel any pain, only a sense of detachment from his body. He observed the wreckage of his former life in disbelief and shock.
A light shone in the corner of his eye. A high pitched sound reverberated through his skull then a woman, materialised out of thin air. She placed a slender hand on his shoulder.
Jake regarded her with a quite unease.
"Come with me child," she said and squeezed his shoulder. The world melted away then reappeared to find himself standing in a large hall with golden floors and white walls. A large table sat in the center of the room.
"This is the hall of the dead. Your life has already been weighed and measured and I will pass judgment," she said. Her voice sounded soft, but firm. She stepped forwards, her long white robes swished around her as she walked. Her long silver hair billowed behind her. She turned to look at him with icy white eyes. She was beautiful, and elegant, but moved with a purpose that hinted at power.
"How did I do?" Jake asked.
The woman shook her head. "Very few make it to the gates of heaven. You are one of countless billions that stretch through time and space that will travel down to the bowels of hell!"
"What?" He gasped as a door pushed its way into existence.
"Go through the door and meet your fate," the woman said and gestured ahead of him.
"And what if I don't accept this fate. Can't you do something?"
"My child there is nothing I can do. Many have tried to bargain and threaten and even flee. But you cannot escape your fate."
Jake looked at her with a dismal expression, then an idea popped into his head.
"What if we made a bargain?"
"Have I not just told you, many have tried, all have failed."
"I know, I know, but what about a bet?"
The girl rolled her eyes. "I will hear you, but it will make no difference."
"What if I could satisfy you?" Jake said with a small smile.
The woman cocked her head. "Satisfy me? What do you mean?"
"You are beautiful, and I bet I can satisfy you completely. If I can't, then I'll go down. If I can, you have to let me into heaven."
The woman looked at him for a second then burst into laughter. "No mere mortal can satisfy me. I'm afraid the very act would corrupt your soul and condemn you to the void. A fate worse than hell!"
Jake sighed, then trudged over to the door. "I understand." He reached out for the door handle and was just about to turn it when the woman gripped his shoulder.
"My name is Elenore, guardian of the gates to the afterlife, I have seen countless mortals bargain with me for their fate, but none who asked for what you are asking for." Elenore clapped her hands and the hall disappeared, only to be replaced with another room. A four poster bed sat in the center and nothing else.
"So you accept?" Jake asked.
"I do," she pushed silver hair out of her face then stepped towards the bed. "You intrigue me. But I warn you, I have the body of a god. My beauty may break your soul, but we will see."
Eleanor unclipped her robe from her right shoulder. It dropped to the floor revealing smooth white skin, a toned stomach, pert breasts and curved hips. Jake's mouth dropped open. She was gorgeous, so gorgeous he felt himself go instantly hard as a rock.
