The bar was crowded; she leaned forward onto her elbows and slowly stirred her drink. The decision to come out, which had seemed so good at the time, was no longer what she wanted to do. She decided to finish her drink and head home. Just then, someone bumped her arm, spilling some of her drink. She turned to look at the person, ready to tell them off. He was staring at her, but instead of offending, his gaze felt so natural, as if sheād looked at his face and into his eyes, many times before.
āIām sorry.ā He said. āLet me get you another drink.ā She shook her head.
āNo, itās fine, really. I was going to go home soon anyway.ā She went back to stirring her drink and looking around at the people. Feeling his eyes still on her, she turned back to him. He blushed slightly and she realized that he had been checking her out when she wasnāt looking. A slow song started to play, and the dance floor filled with couples. Looking directly into his eyes she asked him if he wanted to dance. He nodded and took her hand, leading her to the edge of the platform. At first they were a bit awkward, but as the song progressed, she slid closer into his arms, resting her head on his chest. His hands slowly slid down her shouldersā¦.stopping at the small of her back. Feeling her press her hips into his, he slid his hands down more, resting them on her ass. They didnāt talk, just felt each otherās breath rising and falling. Her hands played with the hair at the base of his neck, running it softly through her fingers. When the song ended they went back over to the bar. They sat half facing each other and sipped from their drinks. He reached over and placed his hand gently on her knee. He noticed when she was sitting that her skirt was high on her thighs. He let his hand move upwardsā¦.slightly brushing the hem of her skirt. She smiled at him.
