I woke up to the smell of fresh pancakes and rolled out of the guest bed.
The week had been a blast so far. My best friend's parents had invited me upstate to their ski lodge as a High School Graduation present. They told me it was for keeping their son out of trouble. Not easy to do in your Varsity year as a member of an All-State football team. But I had ambitions, and I wasn't going to fall off the high road for anybody. I was in control.
