Audrey was a waitress at a bar called "Crocodilez." She had worked there for a couple of years and had a few regulars that she enjoyed joking around with. The food at Crocodilez was pretty good too, and sometimes the wait staff would get a free meal at the end of the shift. It was certainly not a glamourous life by any means, but it was alright for what it was. What Audrey dreamed of more than anything else though was excitement. The only excitement at Crocodilez was the occasional bar fight, usually between two drunken idiots arguing over politics or whatever game was on TV.
Now it wasn't hard for Audrey to get hit on. She had long, wavy obsidian hair. Her eyes were thin, dark, and mysterious. Her Japanese ancestry, in a town of mostly white people, also gave her an air of "exoticism" for many people. Her slender frame and smooth skin were pristine beyond compare. With that being said, the crowd was usually a sea of beer-bellied goofballs and over-the-top sports nuts. Her feelings towards them usually ranged from mild friendliness to moderate disgust and annoyance.
Crocodilez was looking for a new grill cook. They soon got it in the form of Mitchell. Mitchell towered over most people with his height and muscular frame. His rich ebony skin made him standout from all of the other men around. He quickly befriended Audrey, what with them both being outsiders in the community. They would laugh and joke around a lot during shifts together. Though Mitchell seemed very tough and masculine on the surface, he was actually quite a lovable nerd. He enjoyed watching anime and reading sword and sorcery fantasy novels. He could go on endlessly about them in conversation if allowed. Having somewhat of a fascination with Japanese popular culture also drew Mitchell towards her even more.
Audrey found herself becoming attracted to him. She enjoyed how fun he could be. Her eyes also enjoyed lingering on his muscled arms as he worked behind the grill. The romantic side of her personality began to fantasize about scenarios. She would picture him sweeping her off her feet and whisking her away to a new life or saving her from some lurid attacker in the parking lot after a late shift. She would chastise herself for having such childish fantasies. Yet with real life being so droll and tedious; What other escape did she have?
While working a shift together, Mitchell decided to work up the nerve to ask Audrey to hang out with him. He told her he recently bought a new video game and wanted someone to play it with. Audrey smiled and told him she would love too. They settled on a Saturday afternoon for her to come over to his house. Wanting to make a good impression, he spent the whole morning of that day cleaning up to make sure his apartment was spotless.
When Audrey arrived, she was wearing tight black shorts, showing off her silky-smooth legs. Her long hair was tied back in a ponytail, and she wore a short t-shirt, showing off her midriff. Mitchell was immediately captivated by her revealing appearance. "H-Hi Audrey," he said, "I've got the game all set up in the living room." Mitchell shamed himself for tripping on his words when he first spoke and hoped she hadn't noticed.
"Perfect," she replied. She walked past him and smiled to herself, pleased that her appearance had such a noticeable effect on him. She went into the living room and sat down on the floor, crossing her legs as she grabbed the controller.
"You are more than welcome to sit on the couch," Mitchell said as he sat down on the aforementioned piece of furniture.
"I like sitting on the ground when I play video games," she explained, "I like to watch the screen from a lower vantage point. It also allowed her to sit further up then Mitchell, allowing his eyes to wander over to her and trace her body some more.
As they played, Audrey did exceedingly better than Mitchell, who couldn't help but find himself distracted with naughty thoughts of Audrey. He had never been with an Asian woman of any kind before in a sexual way, and the mystery of it seemed to tantalize him all the more.
Audrey paused the game after a half hour of playing. "You seem to have trouble concentrating," she said as she looked over her shoulder back at him.
"No," he replied," I'm totally fine." His eyes darted around the room awkwardly.
