"Which game do you want to play?" He asked.
"The only card game I know is poker." Rachael replied.
Carl grinned and said, "Really? You're good at it are you?"
"I'm good, really, really good!" Rachael shot back with a smirk widening into a grin.
"You are, are you? At poker or...?" Carl left the sentence hanging.
"At poker, yes. Other things too but you'll never know!"
"Poker it is. So what are we playing for?"
"I don't have any money," Rachael said.
"Clothes?" Carl asked.
"Really? Clothes? You want to play strip poker?" Rachael's eyes widened as she replied in a high-pitched shriek, "I'm your sisters friend for heaven sake not your girlfriend!"
"Oh come on! You've been giving me peeks at your bits for years! Besides you don't have any money, so what else would you suggest we play for?"
Rachael sighed and nodded agreement.
Carl shuffled and said, "I think rather then just giving up a piece of clothing, we should bet each hand."
"What do you mean?" Rachael asked puzzled.
"We'll bet and raise with pieces of clothing just like you would with money."
Rachael frowned as she thought about it, then nodded her agreement.
"Okay." She frowned, then added, "Well I guess if we have to bet we can do it that way. But no cheating!"
Carl grinned and said as he dealt, "Trust me!"
"Yeah, right!" Rachael snorted picking up her cards.
She pulled three from her hand and tossed them on the table.
Carl did the same with three of his cards, then dealt three cards to Rachael and three to himself.
Rachael picked up the cards. She had a four of Diamonds to go with the four of Spades she had and a ten of Hearts to go with the ten of Diamonds she also held.
