It just wasnt fair! She didn't deserve this! Especially when she'd gone out of her way to do this all for him! Bree Van de Kamp was furious as she sat on the hotel bed sipping on some wine.
"Ugh, this is atrocious," said the red-haired woman as she made a face.
It would have been a comical sight to see the housewife dressed in a full-length fur coat as she stewed in her anger if not for the fact that she was just rejected by her husband.
"What is it with men and their need to vocalize their most vulgar thoughts?!? Anal retention?!? Me???"
She takes a sip allowing the cheap wine to burn down her throat. "While I'll have you know that your slovenliness is distracting, Rex! Honestly, all you had to do was put that disgusting taco back in it's place and we would be having sex! But noooo. YOU had to interrupt. YOU had to-"
There was a loud slamming on her door which rouses her from her passionate speech.
"Oh bother! Who could it be?"
Bree sets her glass aside and gingerly gets off the bed. She had to stop for a second as the alcohol rushed to her head. Her hands grab onto the door and she throws it open revealing a young Asian male dressed in a hotel uniform.
"Hello? Er, how may I help you," said Bree giving him her best fake smile.
"Good eve-well, morning now. I hope you are enjoying your stay here."
She arches her eyebrow not buying his professionalism. "Yes I am. Is there a problem..."
Her eyes fall upon his name tag. "...Stan?"
His smile softens a bit as he says, "Yes, unfortunately, we have received several noise complaints coming from your room and I must ask that you please respect the fact that it is three o'clock in the morning and our guests would like to sleep."
"Hmph, do you have any idea what I've been through?!? I can do whatever I want in the privacy of my own hotel room as an American citizen. If you think that I'm going to-hmph! I demand to speak with a manager about this! Immediately!"
"Well, that's me," said Stan pointing to his name tag. "I'm the night shift manager."
Bree blinks blankly. "Y-you? But you're so young! What are you, eighteen?'
"Twenty, mam. Can I ask what is the nature of your problem? You don't have to be specific, but maybe I can help?"
"Weeeeell, since you asked. I was planning on surprising my husband today and it was going quite nicely at first then he ruined the mood by overreacting and noooow-"
"Whoa, whoa, hold on a sec," said Stan as he held up his hands. "Look, I get it. So, how about I upgrade you just for tonight? The guy who rented the penthouse suite canceled at the last minute and you can rant to your heart's content there."
"Hmmm," ponders Bree who taps her chin. She then looks at him. "What's the catch?"
He shakes his head. "No catch, mam. You get a private suite and I don't have to deal with complaints. It's a win-win for all of us."
"Huh. That...sounds lovely. Lead the way, young man!"
Stan takes them to the top of the hotel and he opens the door. "Well, here it is."
Bree takes a look at the room which was twice, maybe, three times the size of her previous lodging.
"Well, it isn't the Ritz, but it'll do."
"Heh, good to hear. Is there anything else I can do to help, mam?"
"Hmmm, well...it's really no fun drinking alone..."
Stan chuckles. "No can do, mam. I'm still on the clock."
"But how busy are you really? It's the morning after all! Besides, I need someone to vent to and no one's up."
"I mean...I'm sure Pat can handle the front desk by himself...," starts Stan.
Bree claps her hands. "Good! Then it is decided!"
Stan was sitting on the couch an hour later with his tie loosened and his uniform vest opened as he toasted Bree. They had gone through the bottle she brought and another that was complimentary with the room.
The older woman had a lot to get off her chest and he was pretty understanding because his parents had some unrealistic expectations for him comparing him to his siblings.
"-but I told them I wasn't gonna do that. I hated science and I found engineering boring. If I were to be a doctor or a lawyer, I might as well not be living. I'd already be a zombie."
Bree takes a drink. "Yet, aren't you worried? Art is quite the unstable career path. What if you end up broke or homeless?"
"Heh,", grins Stan taking a swig of the bottle. "I'd rather live poor and free than rich and shackled."
"I see...that is certainly one way to look at it..."
The woman looks down at her lap deep in thought. Stan notices that her fur coat is no longer as tight around her. In fact, the top was a bit loose, showing a bit of her pale chest. He pretends to reach forward for his phone and glimpses the tops of her breasts and the red bra.
She was an uptight woman, but from the limited glances he stole, the housewife was hiding quite the figure. It was just a shame that her husband couldn't appreciate it. He knew he wouldn't have fumbled this badly in his place, but it was above Stan's pay grade to comment.
He didn't want her to think he was just perving on her so he asks, "So, any plans for tomorrow?"
Bree sips her glass and shakes her head. "No. I haven't thought that far yet. This really threw a wrench in my plans..."
"Ah, well look at the bright side. You get to experience a penthouse suite, right? That's something you don't see every day."
"Mmm hmm."
It seemed like she wanted to be left alone so he stood up. "Well, that was fun, but it's late and I don't want to keep you up too long so I think I'll go now."
"Wait."
"Huh?"
Stam turns around and finds that she is suddenly right in front of him. A bit too close for comfort.
"Stan, I've thought about what you've said and-," says Bree as she looks down uncharacteristically unsure.
"About what?"
"About...about being free and not being shackled." Bree looks up now her green eyes resolute. "I didn't mention this, but it was my last attempt to save our marriage. After today, I am filing for divorce."
"Oh," replied Stan dumbly not knowing what to say. What could you say to such a declaration?
She then looks at his chest as her hands fiddle with his open vest.
"I was hoping you would stay a little longer," said the older woman as her voice lowered into a rather smoky whisper. Her left hand was now gliding lightly up his chest. "After all, I haven't experienced the bed yet."
Stan couldn't believe his ears. He was about to ask her to clarify, but the hot look she gave him told him all he needed to know.
"I-"
