Roxanne Perez was on top of the world! Well, she should've been, at least. But, to make a long story short, things hadn't exactly been easy since winning the NXT Women's Championship, even if she managed to top all three members of Toxic Attraction on the same night she won the belt.
That night should've marked a change for Roxanne, the turning of a new leaf in her young life. Her arrival as a member of the hierarchy, and it's soon to be alpha. Alas, it wasn't meant to be; Roxy hadn't topped anyone since that night, despite her plans to continue to do so in secret. The Prodigy's win-win situation, allowing her the privilege to top without officially coming out as a top, had already shown its sign of knocking her off of her game.
Two defenses of her lovely rainbow title, a three-way with Gigi and Jacy, as well as an intense battle with fighting legend Meiko Satomura both saw Roxy barely escape with her title, the inexperienced young wrestler spending more time plotting for her next topping opportunity than preparing for her title defenses. Already, her worst fear was being realized. That's when Roxy knew it was time to cut her topping career short, before things got even worse.
After "surviving" Meiko, Roxanne vowed to never top again; she didn't need that kind of trouble clogging up her mind. Only bad things could happen, and even if a part of her enjoyed it, the majority ruled, and the majority loved her title so much more. But, even though the decision seemed fairly blunt, that didn't mean Roxanne had made it easily.
Her mind was a battlefield, precisely why, as she lounged on her hotel room couch, looking to relax in her sweats before a grueling workout tomorrow morning, Roxanne caught a knock on the door. The knock belonged to the woman she invited over, the only woman she trusted herself around to help clear her mind. A friend. Roxanne yelled out, "It's open," and Indi Hartwell popped in.
"Hey babes, what's up?" Indi asked with a grin, marching over to the couch and plopping her big, Australian bum on the arm.
"Not much," Roxy shrugged, taking a sip of red wine from her glass before adding, "Just hangin' out."
Confused, Indi asked, "Aren't you a little young to be drinkin'?"
"Aren't you a little young to be a wet blanket?" Roxy quipped geniusly, taking another sip and motioning towards the bottle. "Honestly, I don't usually drink, but this hotel is so fucking fancy, they just put the wine in the rooms! In the rooms, can you believe that?"
"Well, I'm looken right at it, mate. I still don't think it's such a good idea, ya know? Legalities and all."
"Aww c'mon, Indi, have some fun. I need a little fun, that's why I invited you over," Roxy claimed, but still listened to Indi and put the glass down.
"Oh, not havin' enough fun poundin' Gigi and Jacy's big bums, eh? I mean, I've been havin' a fucken blast bummin' Nikkita and Zoey recently, but you and Toxic? Here I thought you'd be fucken golden," Indi quipped, crossing her arms following her assumption. Roxy never told anyone what happened that night and, with Mandy gone and the rest of Toxic tight-lipped, Indi couldn't have known the truth.
"What're you talking about?" Roxanna played coy. "I've never pounded anyone's 'big bum'. I'm a wrestler, hun. Real wrestlers don't have to pretend to be something we're not." Oh, the irony.
"Yeah, whatevah ya say, mate," Indi sarcastically agreed, standing up. "I suppose you have nothing to with Mandy disappearin' a day after you 'told 'er off'?"
"Noooo, I don't," Roxanne played dumb, also proceeding to enact another staple of lying, quickly changing the subject, "C'mon, Ind, cool it with the hierarchy shit for one night! Let's just hang, you know? Like friends?"
"Okay...alright," Indi relented, sitting back down. "Can I have a drink?"
"Sure," Roxy agreed, heading over to the kitchen area to fetch a second glass. Meanwhile, Indi took the bottle into her hand and began to drink. Once she found some more liquid courage, she pressed down on the gas pedal once again.
"So, you've really nevah topped anyone?" Indi pushed again.
"I thought we were done with this?" Roxy asked, returning with another wine glass in hand.
"C'mon, Rox, just tell me! We're mates, right? You can tell me what happened between you and Toxic."
Roxanne shook her head in frustration. "I said 'nothing happened'. Why don't you believe me?"
"Because Cora told me that she overheard Gigi talkin' 'bout ya. Tellin' Jacy that they need to talk to 'Mistress Prodigy' about gettin' bummed since Mandy is gone," Indi explained, taking the glass from Roxanne, filling it with wine, and promptly taking another swig straight from the bottle.
Roxy rolled her eyes at the mere mention of her arch-rival, Cora Jade. "You really believe that two-faced backstabber over me?"
Indi shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe I just want to believe that ya actually topped someone after a year of playin' outcast," she explained, finally sipping from her glass.
Roxanne proceeded to finish her own before affirming, "Trust me, I wouldn't lie. I've always said that being champion is the most important thing to me. That's never gonna change, no matter how many silly little rumors exist."
Well said, just seconds before another knock could be heard, emanating from Roxy's hotel room door. An uninvited guest, the likes of which had the pair of tan, beautiful women confused. Roxanne got up and walked towards the door, opening it up, and, upon seeing who was behind, promptly slammed it shut.
"Who's at the door?" Indi questioned, perplexed by why the "innocent" Prodigy had her whole body pressed against the door, seemingly attempting to keep whoever lurked behind out.
"Oh, it's... no one. Wrong door," Roxy assured, but it wasn't long before not one, but two beautiful babes came barging in, little Roxanne, despite her best efforts, unable to keep the door closed. The door sprang open, and in walked the exact same women that Roxanne claimed to have no connection to, that she never topped in her life. Toxic Attraction.
"Mistress Prodigy, we need to talk," Jacy arrogantly assured, hands on her hips, her tag team partner Gigi added in a "yeah" for emphasis.
Indi rose from her seat on the couch, a smile as wide as the Grand Canyon spread across her pretty face, and a single finger pointing out, directly aimed at Roxanne Perez. Roxanne the dirty, little liar, as far as Indi was concerned.
