Hello, this is a bit of a first for me. I've been commissioned to write a fanfinc about FF7. I hope I got the events right, did some research but I didn't play the game so if I got anything wrong, sorry.
Enjoy!

In the moon lit night, three shadowy figures ominously approach the tall Shinra tower. Silent as the night, they make their way to the building with absolute stealth. On their path, they encounter two guards chatting. They seem to not have spotted them yet. One of the figures reaches and hand back over it's head. "I got this." He says in a whisper as he clutches the handle of the massive sword he carries on his back.
One of his partners, The shortest of the bunch, puts a hand on the swordsman's shoulder and shakes her head. "Wait. We can't afford to let them sound the alarm." She takes a step forward and turns to the other two. "I'll handle these two, quietly."
The swordsman opens his mouth the say something but the third figure, the tallest of the group speaks first. "You sure about this, Tifa?"
Tifa looks up and grins at him, her crimson eyes shimmer in the moonlight. She gives him a nod and that's all her partners need to stand down and let her take care of it. The dark haired woman gets in a ready stance and begins her approach, staying as low as possible to make as little sound as she can as she closes in on her targets. Once close enough to the unaware guards she jumps forward and lands a solid punch to one of the guard's jaw. He falls down immediately unconscious. The other guard is caught completely by surprise and as he tries to process what the hell just happened, before he could react Tifa quickly grabs the guard by the back of the neck and brings him down onto her knee with all the force she could muster, sending him to dreamland too. She then turns back to the others and gives them a thumbs up.
Cloud and Barret stand back a bit dumbfounded at how quickly Tifa was able to dispatch the guards. Cloud being more experienced with her strength shakes it off and motions Barret to keep moving.
"Where should we hide the bodies?" Tifa asks as Cloud and Barret walk to her side.
"We don't have time for that." Cloud replies coldly.
"Right..."
"I agree with blondie, but avoiding triggering alarms will buy us just as much time." The bulky brawny man retorts. He picks up both of the passed out guards with ease and drags them inside the tower with them. They look around and see no cameras or anyone in sight. Good start so far, Cloud thinks to himself. They walk to a wall with a few crates and barrels near it. The trio take the crates and barrels and hide the bodies of the guards inside them, hoping to keep them out of sight enough to give them the time needed to reach their objective. They move the containers around to better cover their targets and then run into the building.
"Now that we're in, what's next?" Barret asks as the three walk deeper into the facility.
"We know that Aerith is detained at the top of the tower." Tifa replies, she then points upwards with a finger. "We should find a way to the top floor and bust her out."
Cloud gives a nod in agreement. "Yeah, the best bet is to head up floor by floor and make our way to her." He points over to the left, where a pair of elevators stand. "There. That's how we're going to reach her." He says with a determined expression on his face.
Tifa and Barret exchange a look between them. "Elevators are monitored. If we take them, we'll encounter a lot of resistance." The brawler explains.
Cloud scoffs. "What's the alternative?"
"Well, from the map we gathered, there is another way, one much less surveilled." Tifa starts then turns her head to the much taller gunner. "But you're not gonna like it..."
Barret crosses his arms in front of him, a smug look on his face. "If it's less surveilled it means there's less of 'em."
"Yes but it's more physical." She clarifies, making the taller man's smirk vanish. "Fifty nine flights of stairs..." Tifa points behind her to a large stair case going up and around.
"Fifty nine!?" Barret immediately shakes his head. "Oh hell no!"
Tifa gives a sigh. "I told you..."
"Well, I say we should preserve our strength." Cloud start. "We don't know what kind of security we might find on the last floor. The least fights we have, the better."
Barret grunts but eventually caves. "Alright, alright... You've got a point, Spiky. We can take the stairs... Let's get it done!"
The trio start the long climb to the top floor. Floor after floor, they run into the occasional security patrol that they manage to dispatch before the guards notice they are there. Barret's grumbling echoes all through the tower's floors, only silenced when Tifa reprimands him to be quieter. The climb continues in relative silence after that. Once the group reaches the fifty first floor, they stop to catch their breath.
Barret leans on the railing of the stair way, heaving and panting. "Is... this it...?" He wheezes out between breaths. "Fuck, I'm going back down...Screw this shit!"
Tifa and Cloud stand close by, only slightly winded. "Almost there, only two more floors." The woman encourages. The blonde turns his head up and stares up. "It can't be that hard. We've come all this way."
Barret stands up straight, looks at the other two with an expression as determined as Cloud's. "Fuck it... We can do this!" He turns to Tifa, who's face lights up.
"Alright! Let's keep going." She pumps her fist up, her crimson eyes shine in the bright fluorescent light. She then runs up the last couple of flights of stairs and her companions follow her closely behind. The three eventually reach the fifty ninth and last floor, with only a single door ahead of them. They all share a quick glance at each other, Cloud silently reaches for the handle and twists it slowly, he gives the door a light push and it opens slightly. He peeks through the gap and sees a long corridor that seems to lead to an elevator guarded by three guards; two security officers and one elite security officer, easily recognizable by his crimson uniform. The swordsman closes the door and shares what he saw with the other two.
"Looks like it's as good as it's going to get." Barret starts, turning to Cloud and Tifa. "You guys ready?"
Cloud readies his weapon, as does Barret, and both of them look to the woman. "Wait!" Tifa pipes up, looking through the door. "These guard's seem to have a remote alarm." She leans back, letting the other two look and see. "See?"
"Well, shit! Now what?!" Barret asks, deflating from the burst of motivation he just had.
Tifa places her fist to her chin and begins to think, then something seems to click. "I could try to get them. Like I did the other two down stairs."
"Impossible. These guys have a clear line of sight on you. They will trigger the alarm as soon as they seem you." Cloud counters.
"Well, if I don't do something we won't get anywhere." The dark haired brawler argues back.
