The Kingdom of Wakanda stands at a crossroads. Located in the heart of Africa, this technologically advanced, fiercely independent nation has been through a lot lately. Wakanda participated in the Battle for Earth, helping the Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, fight against the evil space deity Thanos the Mad Titan and his alien hordes. The people of Wakanda faced a number of tragedies as King T'Challa, Queen Raimonda followed King T'Chaka into the realm of the dead. Princess Shuri stands as the new ruler, following the war with the aquatic humanoids led by King Namor. The Princess of Wakanda has a lot on her plate...
Princess Shuri began her day with a morning briefing from the Joint Leaders of the army, navy and air force of Wakanda. The three Leaders, two men and one woman, presented their intelligence assessments to the newly installed ruler of Wakanda. Wakanda had spies in Europe, Africa and the United States and was kept appraised of emerging threats from all over the world. In a world where there are super-powered heroes and high-tech villains, interdimensional threats and hostile aliens, smart people stay ahead through the acquisition of information. After the Briefing, Princess Shuri dismissed the Leaders. It seems like the ruler of Wakanda had bigger fish to fry.
Princess Shuri retired to her chambers, and what awaited her was a certain big and tall, dark-skinned fellow. M'Baku the warrior, Leader of the Jabari tribe, smiled enigmatically as Princess Shuri entered the chambers. The two of them had grown quite close since repelling the invasion of the blue-skinned aquatic humanoids led by the fearsome Namor. Princess Shuri smiled at M'Baku who nodded graciously. The warrior knew what the Princess needed, but he still needed to hear her say it. It is the way of things in the Kingdom of Wakanda.
