Hailee Steinfeld: The Perfect Girlfriend

Tommy Parker was never what someone would call the classical "ladykiller". He honestly wasn't looking to be one either. That's just how it happened. Ever since he was a teenager, he seemed to get the hot ones and go through them like tissue paper.
The story was always the same. For the first few months, things were great and new. After that though, things went downhill, and did so fast. It wasn't like he was expecting constant perfection and for that Honeymoon period to last forever. Far from it. It did however, seem to him the girls he'd dated expected all the work to fall on him to maintain things. Or maybe that was just how he saw. Either way, the result was the same, he never dated a girl for more than two or three months.
Until now. Tommy's job was a guitarist. Either in studio as a session guitarist or a hired gun on tours. That's how he met Hailee Steinfeld. She was on tour and for some reason needed a guitarist, though from what he'd heard her pop styling's didn't really call for it. However, a job is a job and if he hadn't taken it, he never would have gotten the one girl who lasted more than sixty days.
It began small. Mutual flirting and stolen glances. It quickly escalated to sneaking off and finding someplace private to ravage each other. Before too long, any pretense of keeping a secret was long out of the question; everyone on the tour knew exactly what was going on.
That was almost a year ago. The tour was over, and the two were still together. Hailee was a first in the life of Tommy Parker. Wedding bells weren't about to be rung by any means, but there was a big step the two were about to go through meeting the parents.
That was the current plan for the two young lovers. They were riding in Tommy's car on a beautiful afternoon. The destination was the home f his parents. This was the first time he was bringing a girl home to meet the parents. He didn't want to play it off as a big deal, but Tommy was definitely tense, something Hailee could easily detect.
"Sweetheart, calm down," Hailee said, her arm on his shoulder. "Nothing to be nervous about, okay?"
"Yeah yeah, I know." he replied. "I'm just dreading the stuff I'm expecting. You're going to see all my baby pictures, hear all the worst stories..."
"I promise not to laugh too hard at baby you playing a toy Ninja Turtles guitar. A couple giggles and one guffaw, at most."
"Oh, very reassuring Ms. Steinfeld. That just about cures all those thoughts of the worst."
