Spiderman stood atop the Chrysler Building, using his high-tech watch to peep in on various police scanners going off all over New York City. The red-and-blue clad superhero was having one of those days. Life as Peter Parker could be hectic. Peter Parker was a loner at NYU after recent events destroyed his personal life and what was left of his family. Spiderman provides Peter Parker with an escape from his problems. Spiderman gets to fight crime, while Peter Parker gets to stop moping while fighting crime. It's a win-win situation. As Spiderman mused on that, a golden energy square appeared and a masked man in a dark costumed stepped through.
"I am Batman, I come from another universe, where I protect New York City, which is known as Gotham in my world, and I am here to train you," said the Caped Crusader. For some reason, the masked stranger assumed a fighting stance. Spiderman looked at the masked and costumed man with the dark cape and frowned. Who the fuck was that? What's with the weirdly deep voice? This dude sounded confident in an almost Tony Stark kind of way but he was way too full of himself. If this was a Joke by the Avengers, especially that clown Falcon and his buddy the Winter Soldier, then Peter Park wasn't amused.
"Nice costume, dude, but I've got to get going," Spiderman said, shaking his head. He dove off the top of the Chrysler Building and unleashed his web with the characteristic hissing sound. Spiderman swung on the web, headed for midtown. Within seconds he was there, traveling across NYC like only he could. It had been two years since the MCU Spiderman met the Original Spiderman and the Amazing Spiderman. The two of them helped the MCU Spiderman defeat and then rehabilitate villains like Electro, Dr. Octopus and the Green Goblin before sending them back to their respective universes.
Spiderman lost his beloved Aunt May, and his good friends Ned and M.J. no longer remembered who he was thanks to Dr. Strange's magic spells. Peter Parker was all alone in the world. What does the young man do when he's not taking classes at NYU? Spiderman fights crime on the streets of New York City. The Avengers no longer work with Spiderman now that his mentor Tony Stark is dead and no longer around to clean up his messes. The dynamic duo of Iron Man and MCU Spiderman is no more.
"Hmm, crime," Spiderman thought as he spotted a van being chased by two NYPD squad cars. The van was being driven by a masked woman. A masked man shot at the cops from the passengers side window. Spiderman considered himself above petty crimes like this but a hero must respond whenever and wherever needed. Spiderman swung down and went after the van. Perhaps stopping the van. He guessed that they were bank robbers or something along those lines. Otherwise they picked a really ugly and old van to steal.
"Idiot," Batman thought as he leapt into action. Spiderman was headed into trouble. Just like the TVA predicted. Swinging on a two-hundred-foot, retractable metallic rope, he leapt through the skies of NYC, which looked exactly like Gotham. When the Time Variance Authority came to the DCEU and explained the situation, Batman was not amused. He'd been retired from crime for a while, having stopped Bane and Talia Al Ghul from destroying Gotham City. In his guise as Bruce Wayne, former billionaire, he was enjoying retirement in Florence, Italy, with his lover Selina Kyle, the former Cat Woman.
"Do this mission and come back to me, my love," Selina Kyle said to Bruce Wayne. Properly suited in his Batman costume, Bruce kissed Selina tenderly. Hunter B-15, newly installed as the Boss Lady of the Time Variance Authority, watched them in silence. The tall, square black woman reminded Batman of a certain U.S. government agent but Hunter B-15 was professional and courteous while spy master Amanda Waller was cold and sociopathic. Selina playfully smacked Bruce's butt as he headed for the TVA Transport.
"Hold down the fort, Selina," Bruce Wayne said, then he put on his mask and faced Hunter B-15. The Christopher Nolan Universe's Batman stepped through the TVA Transport and crossed into another universe. This version of Bruce Wayne had been happily retired in Florence, Italy, when the TVA came calling. Hunter B-15 and her uniformed, Prune-happy minions gave him the rundown about the state of the multiverse. There was always a crisis or two happening, mainly thanks to some superheroes meddling where they shouldn't. Oh, and by meddling superheroes, they meant a certain speedster...
The TVA told Batman about the MCU. They also informed him about the crises faced by various versions of Batman across the multiverse, thanks to the damn Flash. The Tim Burton Universe's Batman fought against a Kryptonian invasion with the help of two versions of The Flash and an untested Supergirl. It didn't end well. As for the DCEU version of Batman, he was trying to prepare his version of the Justice League, mainly Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman and the reluctant Martian Manhunter, to face Darkseid, evil god from the Planet Apocalypse, and his galactic Armada of Parademons.
"Once your mission is complete, we shall return you to your universe, Batman," said Hunter B-15. That's how the Batman from the Christopher Nolan Universe ended up in the MCU. He dove through the streets of the familiar-yet-different NYC as he chased Spiderman, who chased the van full of gun-toting goons. Spiderman caught up with the ban. In a display of superhuman strength, Spiderman caught the van in his web, flipped it and then laid it upside down. With the deed done, he walked up to the driver's side door.
"Thank you for choosing vigilantes anonymous," Spiderman said as he ripped off the driver's side door. The masked gunwoman at the wheel was unconscious. Spiderman took her out of the van and tossed aside her gun. He looked for the goon who had been shooting at the cops. The NYPD squad cars were close. Spiderman hoped that he could get the goon for them. He loved posing for pictures with cops and other law enforcement types. NYC loves superheroes. The Avengers, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and various others all lived in NYC. Good times.
"Die, Spiderman," said the masked, armed goon as he aimed his shotgun at Spiderman. The young superhero gasped in surprise. His spider sense should have gone off but it hadn't. Peter Parker had been out of sorts since Aunt May died and both Ned and Michelle Jones aka M.J. magically forgot who he was. The young man was troubled and now, thanks to those distractions, he was about to die. Even Spiderman's enhanced strength and speed didn't make him bulletproof. The red and blue suit he wore was simple silk instead of the mechanical, bulletproof armor that Tony Stark once gifted him.
"Rookie," Batman said as he knocked out the masked gunman with a single punch. The Caped Crusader caught the man's gun before it could clatter to the ground. Spiderman looked at Batman, immeasurably impressed. Batman looked at the younger superhero. The TVA briefed the Christopher Nolan Universe Batman about the special abilities of many men and women in these different worlds of the multiverse but there was no excuse for carelessness. Super powered or not, Spiderman was sloppy and Batman hates sloppy...
"Freeze," said NYPD patrol supervisor George Stacy as he and his fellow officers stepped out of their squad cars and surrounded the overturned van. Spiderman stood there, and gently waved at the officers. There was someone else with Spiderman. A tall man in a sinister black costume and mask, with a dark cape. What was this fool doing dressed like this in broad daylight? Was he a villain? If so, why hadn't Spiderman decked the masked fool and webbed him up for the cops to arrest? That was usually the deal between Spiderman and the NYPD.
"Officer Stacy, hello, thanks for coming, my colleague and I got this," Spiderman said, laughing. The cops holstered their guns but continued to look dubiously at Batman. Batman looked at Spiderman and scowled. The young man in the red and blue costume appeared to be in his early twenties, college-age, and jovial, and way too carless when it came to using his super powers. Spiderman was known to the NYPD who evidently tolerated his vigilantism. Yeah, Batman had his work cut out for him.
