Walking into Liara's office, she was sitting back in her chair, feet up on the desk as she was in conversation with someone. "You too, Tali. I missed you a lot. I know that I wasn't the only one who hoped you might have stayed... Although given what happened..."

"At least we're back together. Mostly. How are things for you, Liara?"

"Let's talk about it over a meal. Are you hungry?"

"We haven't had lunch as I was hoping to take you out," I replied.

"Good as I've got a couple of surprises for you while you're here, Shepard," she told me cryptically.

"I'm hoping to get some information while I'm here too," I replied as we wandered out of her offices and into the crowds, Liara leading the way as I knew she'd find somewhere nice for us to eat, "We're looking for someone."

"Who?"

"I'm looking for an asari justicar by the name of Samara."

That brought Liara to a halt and the look she gave me was concerning. "Shepard... Are you sure you want to do that?"

"Why?" I asked carefully.

"Justicars are... They are dangerous, Shepard. Similar to Spectres in many ways, the difference being that justicars have no oversight whatsoever. You still report to the Council even though you can complete a mission however you see fit. The only thing that binds a justicar is their code."

"If you're warning me, I'm guessing..."

"Yes, I know exactly who you are after. I have not met her, and I have no desire to ever meet a justicar. I have good reason to think that if a justicar showed up at my office, she would be there to kill me. But if she's on Illium, it must be an important mission. Justicar's rarely leave asari space. Illium might be a colony world but is outside the bounds of the Asari Republics."

"Spirits, Shepard, who do you have us chasing down now?" Garrus muttered to himself.

"I can only urge caution, Shepard," Liara stated as we resumed walking, feeling her hand take mine, interlacing our fingers and I just knew she was smiling to herself, "Though given what you're like, I'm sure you'll win her over to your cause. The only thing she would request is that her mission is completed. It would be part of her code."

Liara found a restaurant that served food that all of us could eat. Conversation flowed easily and it was like the past two- and a-bit years hadn't happened. Garrus was in a far better mood since we'd dealt with Sidonis. "Is Shiala here at the moment?"
