Z'Marl's family 2

The meal with Z'Marl's family ended up being very enjoyable. Even if she didn't realize it her parents and siblings were intelligent also. Maybe not as smart as he and some of the others but they asked good questions and made him think before he answered. Once dinner was over he glanced at Kingie and Crystal, "Would you mind showing the kids to their rooms and maybe the game lounge? I am sure they don't want to listen to old people talk." He gave B'Heron and La'Zual a knowing look.

B'Heron looked at their children, "Go, relax, we need to talk and don't need kids being horrified." He grinned when their youngest looked horrified just to tease him. The youngest simply went with what his parents asked. They finally left the room following the two.

Z'Marl grinned at her siblings, "Kingie, you might show them the hot springs. They might just enjoy a good soak. If you want, they can go for a run as well. If so Kingie will talk to the grounds keeper and he will release a R'kala for them to hunt in the next day or two." When they gave her a happy look she was pleased.

"For them the springs will work. I will do a tub of hot water later." She was curled up against Billy as she was talking and a low purr started. Man, she wanted to see their cub and it was showing. Her ears were lightly flicking as she was relaxing.

Z'Marl brought some drinks over, "Yilly has introduced us to a drink called Coffee. It is mixed with c'shar and is very good. I will ask you not to try coffee straight. It tends to make us act like we are drunk." She handed the drinks out before settling next to her mother and relaxing. It was good to see her family again. It had been well over a year between work and then being on the ship. Actually, it was getting close to two years since she had started working on the Fijishi and then meeting Satasha and Yilly.

B'Heron was relaxing in a chair and gave Z'Marl a warm smile, "So what all have you been up to? The news has been sporadic. We have wanted to come and visit but it was made to look like you were so busy. Congratulations on being asked to be Yilly's and Satasha's life mate." He took a sip of the mix and had to curl his whiskers, "Very good and thank you." He took another sip but was careful based on what Z'Marl had told them.

Billy looked at Z'Marl and his face softened, "She is one of two of the best things in my life. Satasha is the other. Not sure why such a lovely wonderful woman settled for an old man but I wouldn't change anything. She is a part of us and how I do love her."

Satasha rested her head against Billy's shoulder, "She loves us so much and we love her. I knew her on the Fijishi but simply as acquaintances. When Yilly came into my life she ended up as well and she means so much to us. It isn't just her brain which drew Yilly, but everything about her. She drew me as well and that is why we want her in our lives. You need to be so very proud of her. When Yilly works with her she helps keep him grounded. It isn't just Yilly's disturbing brain which has ultimately designed the new engines for Terra. Z'Marl has taken many of his ideas and helped make them work." She gave Z'Marl a good smile and curled her whiskers at her.

"Spare me some blushes darn it. He is the brain, I just make what he says understandable." She had to lower her ears, "It is nice to be able to use my brain. He forces me to expand my knowledge. I do love him and not just for his brain." She couldn't help it when she started purring, "Other than helping him design the new engines, and being loved not much."

La'Zual gave her daughter a good hug, "My child and I am so proud of you. I can see how much they care for you. We are going to be here for your life mating and so pleased for you.

Sally started laughing at Z'Marl, "No mention of help several badly injured women, helping Yilly recover from being shot, and helping Crystal recover from Ni-uzu virus? I think you forgot a few things." She looked at her parents, "It has been some interesting time."

Billy gave them a measuring look and liked the feel of them, "This will not go further. I am telling you so you don't accidently say or do the wrong thing. Crystal was rescued from the pirate ship. It has taken her the love of Kingie and the support of all of us to get her this far. Avoid being quiet coming up behind her and if you want to hug her offer her the hug but let her decide. There are going to be some other ladies coming here soon for treatment. If you are still here I will point them out." He met both of their eyes.

Both lowered their ears and nodded, "Thank you for letting us know. That is horrible and I will talk to my daughter to keep her hands off Kingie." La'Zual decided not to wonder just what had happened. As soon as they were done talking she would find her and tell her.

He decided to get off the topic, "What else have you done Yilly? Other than making people other than my daughter want to run screaming?" B'Heron had to flick an ear when Satasha laughed.

"My preferred trade is an independent starship captain. Being on the design board back when I was in the military was very enjoyable. I suppose rescuing a stranded alien is up there as well, ambassador not as much." He made a slight face and gave Satasha a loving kiss.

"Wow, busy man. I can see you have picked up another Sholan as well." La'Zual gave Z'Marl a good look, "If you don't mind my asking do you have any idea of how you became a Leska? Other than..." She floundered since she knew how that could sound.

He almost had to growl since he was still ticked off about the genetic changes, "They aren't sure but it appears to have something to do with a new strain of ni-uzu. Beyond that they are still looking into it. I can't really say more than that. Information related to it is being classified currently. It was a bit of a shock but looking back? Again, one of the best things which happened in the last few years."

"I can't complain either," Satasha rubbed her stomach and grunted when their baby kicked, "most of the time. Can't wait and I think I am going to head to bed. As I'm sure you know I tend to sleep anytime I sit down."

Billy stood and helped her up, "Sally will show you to your suite and you have access to the grounds. If you want something to hunt talk to Satasha and she can arrange it. Good night." He sent to Z'Marl to let her know she should stay and relax with her family.

Amanda ship 2

When she woke the next morning, Amanda was warm and comfortable. Ike was in front holding her and Teo was curled up behind her. She laid there for several minutes enjoying the warmth coming from them. Eventually she nudged Ike since the doctor was coming this morning. She wanted food and a shower before he arrived.

Ike rolled over and sat up before giving her a kiss. His fingers stroked her torque, "That looks so lovely on you. Don't know what I am going to do to thank Billy." After one more kiss he stood and pulled some clean clothes for both of them out of their bag. They had only brought a single bag since they didn't expect to be there for long. Even after doing the scan's it would take them time to come up with a surgical plan.

Teo sat up and wrapped her arms around Amanda, "They look good on both of you. As far as Yilly? I will deal with him, I mean I will thank him for you." She gave Amanda a purring laugh and a slight growl, "I owe him for several issues. Gold pressed latinum, that whole thing with the Dearborn's, and I am sure I can think of a few other things."

Amanda laughed before heading to the bathing area. She hadn't expected both Ike and Teo to join her and she had to blush. It didn't stop her from looking at Teo and then Ike, "So is showering all you did? She really is a good-looking woman."

Even as Teo laughed at her teasing Ike glowered at her, "Well I did sleep with her in her bed. The shower was just the topping for the night. If you want to know more than that I can't tell you. The report has been classified above my level so I can't even know what happened."

Teo reached around Amanda and gave Ike a light thump, "That was wrong of you Ike. You slept next to me since you were so tired from the language transfer and the Makoe. As far as the shower, how was I supposed to know you don't do it that way?"

Eventually they were done with the shower and breakfast. It was a short time later when the Surgeon was shown in, "Come have a seat Doctor. If you want something to drink or eat let us know. What can you tell us?" Ike took charge since Amanda was obviously starting to look nervous. He was pleased when Teo wrapped her arm around her to comfort her.

The Surgeon gave Amanda a gentle smile, "Relax Lady Demopolus. I do have good news. I am positive we can do something to help you." He slid a viewer on the table, "I am going to assume since both the Admiral and Ambassador are here it is with your permission?" When she nodded, he continued after activating the 3D viewer, "From what I understand you have a reasonable understanding of your injuries. I'm going to touch base on what we are seeing and then what we can do for you..." He checked for questions as he was explaining.

After he had finished Amanda lightly nibbled on a knuckle as she thought about what he had said, "How long do you think the recovery would be and how long before you could do it?" Both Teo and Ike were comforting her. They had been there for her and were giving her the strength to do this.

"Based on how Ambassador Madlax dealt with the procedures, you will be in ICU for a week before being moved to a general bed. Maybe a week there depending on how you recover. As far as when we can do it? Anytime. If you want, we can do a few more scans and start the procedure tomorrow. If you need time have Dr. Desjean or the Ambassador contact us and we can schedule it."

That quickly? She had been expecting to be told in a couple of weeks or even a month or two. A delay like that was something she could deal with. When she spoke, she was making sure she was being understood, "I'll not have any special treatment. If there are others needing the services of your department I will wait. That is not up for negotiation."

The surgeon shook his head, "It isn't Lady Demopolus. All who need my services either have been treated or are waiting for healing before additional surgeries. I assure you won't be taking someone else's place." He did his best to show that as he was talking. He knew some humans had trouble reading Sholan expressions. He didn't expect her to have a problem but he wanted to ensure she knew he was serious.

Ike looked at the Surgeon, "Schedule it for tomorrow. I have requested some time off so I can be with you. I will be working from here as well while you are sleeping and recovering." He took the decision out of her hands. She would yell at him later but he wanted this done.

Amanda shivered but gave the surgeon a nod. If she spoke her voice might break.

When she nodded, the Surgeon stood, "I'll schedule it. Nothing to eat or drink after dinner. I would eat a light meal though the anesthesia doesn't normally cause problems like that. I am simply taking precautions. Someone will be here in the morning with a floater." He gave all a nod before leaving the suite.

More with Jinjow

Billy was tossed up about Col. Jinjow. He had been nothing but a pain in the ass. He argued about everything, little satisfied him, and he was arrogant. One positive thing he could say about the man, he was competent with engine design. Not on Billy or Z'Marl's level but definitely competent. The Mentor running the indoc had talked to Billy as well.

She hadn't been pleased with the lack of attention he had paid to what they were being told. It was like they weren't worth listening to since he was positive he didn't need to know about the Sholan's. So far, he hadn't broken any rules but she wasn't impressed. Her recommendation was to send him back and request someone else.

What Billy really needed was for the Col. Jinjow to do something stupid. Be it touch him, another telepath, denigrate one of the Sholan SDB, anything. Anything and then he could send him back as persona non-gratis. With a grunt, he turned back to ensuring he had full documentation on the actions of the Colonel. Once Vangie was back he would talk to him and see what they could do to keep an eye on him.

Sandi arrives

When the Sandi was due to arrive, Billy had arranged for Kingie, Crystal, and Sally to go with. Since the Sandi had the remaining females from the Pirate ship he wasn't going to overwhelm them. He had received several reports from both the Ambassador, Desjean, and Amanda. Once they had left Earth from Kingie. They were doing adequately but they were very twitchy about the others. Once the ship landed they were quickly taken to it.

They watched the Sandi land and when the ramp came down Billy didn't bother waiting, he trotted up and found Vangie there. He gave him a good hug, "Get the staff off before we deal with the ladies. Less stress for them." They would be going to the telepath's guild and would move into Billy and Satasha's suite. Since they had their suite at the Terran estates they didn't need it. The warriors were going to be in the suite across from his. It had taken a while to get the guild master to understand they needed the privacy and security. He had also called Teo about the issue as well.

"Done, they are leaving out the back ramp with the cryo-capsules. Heyo you three, come and have a seat in the lounge. I'll have the warriors bring the ladies out." He gave Kingie and Crystal a good hug before pulling Sally into his arms and nibbled on her lips, "How I have missed you. You aren't going to sleep much for the next few days."

Sally leaned into the kiss and returned the favor, "You won't be sleeping much either. I have missed you in my bed and we will talk later." Good god he could get her worked up. The conversation they were going to have was very important to her.

Savannah and the others had come out while Vangie was greeting his companion. Savannah blinked, "Hope that isn't a normal greeting... Crystal, you are looking so good." She hurried over and pulled the young woman into her arms and gave her a good hug. The other three came over and gave her hugs as well.

She returned the hug, "I am, still have problems but between my therapist, Kingie, and his family I really am. Once we get all of you settled in we can sit down and talk for a while. It is going to be hard but I can tell you some about what has been done to help me." Crystal finally moved back and gave the other women good hugs. There were a few tears but everyone wanted to get to where ever they were going to be.

Billy gave Savannah a wide grin, "Not unless someone is your companion. They are companions now which will be explained to you later. Having someone get your luggage and I have a transport outside for you. The next few days are going to be somewhat busy as we run you through medical, you are going to have indoc just to make sure you understand important parts of their society. You will be introduced to some of the therapists in the hopes you can find one you are comfortable with. Now shall we?" He could sense the other transport had left.

He turned and led them out of the ship and almost laughed when they stopped and looked around. The view was vastly different from Earth since the tech was so much higher. The landing field was covered with any number of small ships and shuttles which looked foreign. Earth ships tended to be boxier even now. The ships they were looking at had a variety of different styles since they were from different races. There were several Touban ships which were obvious. They were colorful with all sorts of bright and almost eye searing colors. The others showed they weren't Sholan even if they didn't know what the other species was, "Come, you will get a chance to walk around the city in a few days. You need to do the indoc even though you have been living with the Sholan's for so long. We have rooms at the Guild for you and your warriors."

The males were standing close to the women they had chosen to protect. When they froze at the view of the field they all had to start laughing. One leaned over and nuzzled Bitty's neck, "Welcome to Shola and my family wants to see you when possible. All of you are invited to all of our homes. Either with one of us or as a group. I would love to introduce you to my family." He stood up and started down the ramp, "Come, we need to get settled in."

Bitty couldn't help but lean into the nuzzle before she grumbled at him, "That would be really nice. I would like to meet your family." The other women agreed with her and said as much. When he started moving she did as well.

Billy had moved to the other side of Bitty and wrapped an arm around her, "Welcome to Shola Bitty and I think you will like it here. I have two Leska suites for you and your warriors. There are a total of four bedrooms which you can work out. I know that you have gotten used to sleeping next to someone. The beds are large and comfortable. One of the suites was the one assigned to Satasha and I. The other isn't occupied."

She leaned into his hug before following the others down the ramp. She didn't know what to say about the suites. It was something which she didn't have any idea of what they might be like. Instead of saying anything she simply followed Billy to some vehicle.

When they entered the vehicle, the women were looking around. With a slight purring murmur the warriors helped them buckle in before the air car took off. As it flew over the port and towards the city the women looked out the window and gasped at what they were seeing. It wasn't something they had ever seen. The city was open, had plenty of plants and trees, and was unlike anything they had seen before.

When they finally landed several Sholan's came out and started pulling their luggage onto a floater. Billy stood and walked over the transport and waved for the others to follow, "I will show you where you will be living for the time being. They are very nice suites and I think you will like the places. Once you have gone through indoc and some treatment if you want to move you can." Before he said much more he tensed since he felt Satasha going into labor, "Kingie show them the rooms I have to go." He almost ran back to the vehicle and it was quickly off the ground.

Satasha delivers their child

Satasha had been feeling uncomfortable for a while and simply couldn't settle down. Z'Marl's family was still at the estates and La'Zual came over, "You're in labor Satasha. I have called for a transport to take you to the hospital. I will send a message to Yilly if needed. Would you like me to go with? I can also contact anyone you need as well."

When she spoke Satasha finally felt the contraction and grunted at her, "Owe... Not happy, this hurts." She ended up curling up some with the contraction, "Call Yilly and my family. Tell the others as well and please. I would like someone who has had several children with me. Mom will be there as soon as possible but I want someone with me until she arrives." She had to groan again as another contraction hit.

It wasn't much later before the medical transport arrived. Everyone at the house now knew she was in labor and had gathered. Z'Marl was going with and had told her Billy knew. She had sensed over the bond that he had felt Satasha going into labor. He was going to meet them at the hospital. She went with Satasha in the transport and the others would follow in other vehicles.

As the transport landed Billy ran out of the entrance and was nervously bouncing on his feet as she was brought out of the transport. When Satasha was brought out he stopped the medics and gave her a good kiss, "I can't wait my love. Our baby." He finally stood when she groaned again and followed the others into the hospital. Once she was settled into a delivery bed he settled down behind her and let her rest against his chest, *I can't wait love. Our child and we will love him or her.* He was stroking her ears and face as he was thinking at her.
