Partridge Family Love: Chapter 9
Shirley Partridge made her way from her bathroom to the kitchen on her crutches, her hair still damp from her shower. Her left ankle throbbed from twisting it on her hike earlier in the day. Moving with the crutches loosened the sash around her waist letting her bathrobe flap open. When she got to the telephone in the kitchen she instinctively tightened the sash to restore her modesty even though she was alone. Thunder boomed and lightning lit up the dark kitchen, the rain coming down in buckets as evening turned to night. Her stomach growled. Suddenly she realized how hungry she was but there was no way she wanted to go out to get dinner in this weather. And the fridge was empty. She called her favorite Chinese restaurant and ordered their special appetizer and hot and spicy pork for dinner to be delivered.
Thirty minutes later, the doorbell rang. Shirley opened the front door and a young Asian man stood on her front porch holding a bag with her food drenched from head to toe. But the food had been carefully wrapped in plastic to keep it warm and dry. His bicycle was parked on the dark driveway lit by the streetlight, barely visible through the pouring rain.
"Long Dong!" she exclaimed. He was Keith's friend and classmate and the Partridges frequented his family's Chinese restaurant. "Come in, out of the rain!"
"Here's your special appetizer and hot and spicy pork," he said as he walked into the foyer and closed the door behind him dripping water onto the floor. He put the bag of food on a table next to the door. To the right was the family room.
"Wait here, let me get you a towel," she said as she hobbled off to the linen closet.
She returned with the towel and handed it to him, unaware that her robe had fallen open. As he was drying himself off with the towel, he seemed distracted as he kept glancing at her. She glanced down and noticed that her robe was gaping open, giving him a clear view of one of her breasts. And she could see that it was having an immediate effect on him by the large bulge that had formed in front of his pants. Suddenly the mother of five was hungry for something else.
"Get out of those wet clothes," she said.
"It's really ok, Mrs. Partridge," he replied.
"You're going to get sick if you don't dry off and warm up. Give them to me now," she ordered in a stern motherly tone.
"Yes ma'am," he said as he first pulled off his shirt and handed it to her, exposing his lean body with his six pack abs.
"Wow, you're in great shape!"
"Thank you, I've been working out."
Long Dong hesitated.
"I need your pants too."
"Really, Mrs. Partridge, I'm good," he responded.
"Now, and that's an order," she said as she held out her hand.
"OK," he answered as he stepped out of his shoes, unbuttoned his pants and pulled them off. Shirley got a glimpse of his boxers which were tenting obscenely out from his body until he held the towel in front of him. He handed the wet pants to her.
"I'll put these in the dryer and they'll be dry in thirty minutes. It looks like the rain is slowing so you should be good to go by then."
"You're on crutches, I can put my clothes in the dryer," he said as he took his wet clothes from her and walked into the house.
"Do you know where it is?" she asked.
"Of course," he replied from the hallway. "I've been over here many times with Keith. Just sit down and put your foot up."
"Throw your boxers in there too," she ordered.
"Okay."
