Onaga walked into the room and saw the female hanging from the ceiling by a rope. She looked to be no more than twenty two or three.
"Well?" He asked Ryan, the captain of his guard.
"She hasn't said anything yet, but I haven't put any questions to her." He slapped her across the cheek and she whimpered a bit. "Have I my dear?"
"What was in her bag?" Onaga asked looking over at the girls backpack.
"Nothing but provisions, and this," he handed Onaga an ipad. "She's got a password on it."
"It was expensive, so please take care," Li Mei said licking the blood from the corner of her mouth. "And don't get any big dumb thumb prints on it."
"Shut up." Ryan told her, delivering another slap.
Onaga ripped the backpack in half and the papers that Li Mei had stolen out of the desk in his quarters fell out of the hidden pocket and fluttered to the ground.
"Not just a thief," Onaga said picking up the papers. "But a spy as well."
"Who sent you?" Ryan asked.
"Your mother."
Ryan delivered a blow to Li Mei's stomach and one to her ribs. He broke two of them.
"That's what I love about you humans," Onaga said to her. "You unabashedly speak your thoughts."
"Want to hear more of my thoughts?" Li Mei leaned forward and spit on Onaga and she ended up with a bloody nose compliments of Ryan.
"You're just going to kill me anyway," she said obstinately. "I might as well keep my secrets."
"I could throw you to my men," Ryan told her.
"I'll die fighting. Either way, I win." She said with a chuckle.
"How do you win?" Ryan asked.
"Because, I'll die fighting for a noble cause." She smiled and her eyes became unfocussed.
"A noble cause?" Ryan slapped her again.
She looked up at him and gave a wheezing laugh.
"I've think I've earned my place in warriors rest."
Blood started to drip out of her mouth. "Where will you go when you die friend?"
"You won't attain your warrior's rest if I bring you back from the dead," Onaga said thoughtfully.
"Oh, that's just not nice." She told him.
Li Mei's vision was blurring in and out of focus. She was also having a hard time breathing and her ribs were on fire. More than likely Ryan and punctured a lung. It would be over before long and hopefully she wouldn't feel much more pain.
"You know, you're not quite as tall as I was led to believe," Li Mei said to Onaga.
"Let me guess. Ten feet?"
"Yeah. But you are definitely not ten feet tall."
"No. Eight foot actually. But that's still a good two foot taller than you, little girl."
Li Mei finally passed out.
"Send for the healer," Onaga told Ryan. "Bring her to me when she is healed."
