"Good, now get some rest, Commander. You'll need it."
Jane uses her biotics to push a heavy crate towards a group of Geth. This provides the needed cover for Kaiden and Liara to find cover nearby. A loud beeping sound warns the commander that her shields were weak. She grunts with annoyance and moves back to cover across from her two teammates.
Kaiden says through comms, "Commander! Are you alright!"
"I'm fine, lieutenant! We have to keep pushing!" Jane replies firmly as she reloads her rifle.
Liara chimes in nervously. "B-but there are too many of them!"
"I know you're new here, Liara, but that doesn't matter to the commander. She'll probably tell us to-"
Jane cuts Kaiden off as she rounds the corner to shoot. "Attack!"
The human Spectre was like a machine as she would push forward, only stopping when she needed to recover her shields. Liara was in awe of the woman's drive which was powered by her pure will. The Asari didn't want to be a burden so she focused on clearing the path and enhancing her commander with her biotics.
For Jane, all this chaos helped to keep her mind focused on the important things, the things she could make sense of. Liara's recounting of these Proteans gave her an even worse headache than the ones she'd currently been experiencing. Speaking of the headaches, they were worse than before and it seemed like she was constantly afflicted with this metaphorical nail in her head. Somehow, she passed Chalwas' physical and was cleared for action.
Yet, her mind wasn't all there. There is a noise to her right and she turns, but it's too late.
"Commander, watch out!"
"Kuh! What the hell?!?" Jane grunts as she is knocked off her feet.
Liara and Kaiden's panicked cries catches her attention. She sees that they are being held up in the air by the tentacles of some four-legged insectoid. She looks around for her weapon and it is a few feet away. The commander draws her sidearm and prepares to aim at the tentacle holding Alenko. However, she gets tackled by a Geth which sends her gun flying.
"Tch! Out of the way!"
Shepard punches the Geth with a biotic-enhanced strike blowing it away. Several more show up to gang up on her. Not good. She takes a brief glance at her surroundings and sees that her arms were pretty far from her. Yet, she needed them to save her teammates. The Geth raise their weapons which meant it was time for her to move.
"Bring it on!"
Jane charges at the nearest enemy ignoring the blasts that slam against her shields. Pushing her body, she jumps forward to knock over the Gerh in front of her and mid roll, she steals it's rifle. Just as she had done many times during training, she uses the roll to maneuver away then she lays on the ground as she unleashes a barrage of her own.
The low position makes it hard for them to hit their target and easier for her to pick them off. When the last Geth falls, she breathes a sigh of relief.
"Now, to go after-"
Jane is lifted off the ground and she holds onto the rifle.
"Why you overgrown bug! Take this!"
She manages to hit it twice, causing it to shriek. The creature drips her and she charges her biotic to deliver a devastating kick. The loud bang as it smashes against the wall and falls to the ground. A loud beeping then draws her attention just in time to see a large insectoid leg smack her in the helmet! The force of the blow knocks the human Spectre unconscious.
Jane groans as she comes to her senses. She moves her arms, however, something was off. All she could feel was the air and she kicked her feet, feeling nothing as well. Her eyes clear and she sees her two companions in front of her. They were suspended in the air by the insectoid aliens which were doing some strange things to them.
"What...the...fuck?!?"
The creatures had one feeler around Kaiden's torso and arms while the other was...stroking his cock. He was struggling and kicking his legs to no avail as the tentacle was stroking him at a frantic pace. Her gaze then shifts to the left.

The commander then brings her foot down like an axe as it strikes the head of the insectoid. The creature whines then gets the air knocked out of it as she delivers a devastating uppercut. Liara is dislodged and falls to the floor.
The human Spectre then swings the large bug around to slam into it's buddy. Kaiden is freed, falling to the ground as both creatures hit the wall. Jane's searches the room then grabs a rifle from a fallen Geth. She empties the clip into the insectoids, making sure they were dead. When she was done, she lays the rifle to the side and checks up on her teammates.
She kneels down to check up on Liara. "Hey! You alright?"
Jane gently shakes the Asari who groans softly as thick liquid poirs from her moith. The human woman sighes with relief then checks the rest of Liara's body.
