Lindsey Stirling was tired of being a virgin. She was worth millions of dollars, could sell out shows all around the world, and had proven her haters wrong over and over. But, the one thing that the thirty-eight year old violinist had been craving for as long as she could remember, was somebody to make love to her.
She had come close a few times in the past. Especially with her last boyfriend, who she had dated for a few years before breaking up with him. As much as she thought she would marry him, the relationship just didn't feel right and she found out he was cheating on her, and had been for a number of months, after she broke up with him.
But, while they were together, she had let him go farther then any other guy had gone. It started pretty simple, with him fingering her and her giving him a handjob. Then they progressed to giving each other oral with their mouths. He really wanted to go all the way, either in her vagina or in her butt, but she refused. In the end, they did just about everything else you could, besides penetrative sex.
But, now as the year was almost over, Lindsey just wanted to know what it would feel like. She had come to the realization that marriage probably wasn't in the cards for her, at least not any time soon. And at this point in her life, would a future husband really care if she was a virgin?
Lindsey made it a goal that while she was on her Christmas tour, she would find somebody to sleep with. For the past few years, she had been posting more and more of her body on social media and she knew from the responses, especially on Instagram and Reddit, that she was sought after and should have plenty of suitors. But, she still wanted it to be sort of special and with somebody she felt a connection with.
She knew it couldn't be anybody in her band or on the road crew. Too many rumors could spread. She wasn't sure about a fan either, but thought it might be her best bet, unless she could somehow find somebody that either didn't know about her, or wouldn't brag about sleeping with her online.
Lindsey had been touring all summer long in support of her new album and she almost didn't do a Christmas tour this year. But, knowing how much her fans looked forward to it, she had her management team book a short twenty-one city tour and she quickly got to work making plans, not only for the show, but a way to lose her virginity.
As the tour went on, Lindsey waited to find somebody that she felt a spark with. She went out a few times with her band and dancers, was hit on by several guys, but nothing. She had a meet and greet before every show and lots of guys came through, but nothing. She even downloaded a dating app, but nobody she matched with believed that it was really her.
Her final show of the year was in Lexington, Kentucky and Lindsey was feeling a little sad, both at it being her final show and not having found somebody yet. Over her years of battling a variety of mental health issues, she had gotten pretty good at putting on a happy face, especially when meeting her fans, so it was no issue for her to smile during her meet and greet. But, it did get pretty tiresome, so much that towards the end, she finally asked her manager how many were left, honestly debating on telling them sorry, refunding their money, and ending it early.
Instead, when her manager told her that there was only one meet and greet left and it was just a single person, Lindsey nodded her head and told her to let them into the room where Lindsey was.
Lindsey, who had her long brown hair pulled back into a ponytail, fixed the ponytail on top of her head, and smooved out the white shirt she had on. Unlike most years, where Lindsey made sure she was modestly dressed for these meet and greets, she had, much like her social media presence, decided to do something a little different. She was wearing a white shirt that was long sleeved, but was cropped and showing off her flat abs. She finished off her outfit with blue jeans and a brown belt.
She was surprised when a male walked in by himself. "Hi," he said. "I'm Matt."
As he reached out his arm to shake her arm, Lindsey instantly recognized just how attractive Matt was. He had to be at least a foot taller than her five foot, three inch body, had shady blonde hair cut short, a gorgeous smile, and an athletic build. Lindsey quickly regained her composure and reached out to shake his hand while saying, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Matt. I'm Lindsey."
"I know," Matt said with a laugh. "I've been a huge fan for years. I've actually seen you the last four times you've come here, including over the summer, and I've always wanted to do the meet and greet, but my wife wouldn't let me."
"Oh no! Well, thank you for being a fan for so long and coming to so many of my shows!" Lindsey said, feeling a little sad that this attractive man was married. "Did your wife surprise you with the meet and greet for Christmas? Where is she?"
"Nope. She's now an ex-wife and I decided to spoil myself," Matt told her.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that!" Lindsey told him, noticing his deep blue, beautiful eyes.
"It's OK! It really is! She was actually cheating on me and the song you wrote after you were cheated on helped me so much! I've actually been dying to tell you that. I know this might sound a little weird, but I actually sent you a message on Instagram after it was released and you came out about your relationship. I'm sure you didn't read it, but I just wanted you to know how much that song meant to me and how much I could understand what you were going through," Matt told her.
"Oh, Matt, thank you so much! I'm so sorry I didn't see your message, but I'll be sure to get on today and read it. I'm glad that my music could help you out," Lindsey said.
"Me too. I know I don't have a lot of time with you and I don't want to take up too much of it, but can I ask you a question?"
As Lindsey answered back to say, "Of course," she was secretly praying that this man, who she was all alone with, wouldn't turn into a creep or start hitting on her. Actually, she might be OK if he did flirt a little.
"I know that this is technically a Christmas concert, but is there anyway you could play Survive for me tonight?" He asked, his eyes pleading with her.
Survive was the song that Lindsey had written after she had been cheated on, the same song that Matt had said had meant so much to him.
"You know, Matt, I normally wouldn't but for you, I'll see what I can do," Lindsey said as she reached out her arm and placed her hand on his forearm.
"Thanks. Like, I heard you play it over the summer, right as I was going through the divorce, but hearing it live again, now that everything is finalized and I'm starting to recover, would just be so special," Matt told her.
Lindsey and Matt spent the next few minutes taking a couple pictures together before Lindsey stood on her tip toes, wrapped her arms around his neck, and gave him a hug. She waved goodbye to him as he exited the room, feeling a pang of sadness that he was gone.
She had a soundcheck and a rehearsal to get to after the meet and greet so Lindsey quickly went to her changing room in the back of the arena. She pulled off her white shirt to reveal a black sports bra under it and undid her belt before pulling down her jeans. Normally, as a member of the Mormon church in good standing, Lindsey wore her white Temple garments. But, lately, as she been touring, training, and rehearsing on such a large scale, she's moved away from wearing them as much. And she's noticed just how much her confidence had grown when she would post what could be considered a "sexy," "immodest," or even "scandalous," photo of herself online and the compliments she recognized, both from males and females. So today, like most days on tour, she just had a pair of white underwear.
As she reached into her bag and pulled out a pair of black leggings, her phone fell out and she remembered what Matt said about sending her a massage. After she pulled her leggings on, Lindsey sat down and opened up Instagram, navigating to where her messages went to from unknown people. It took her a few minutes of scrolling through all the messages she had received, but she finally found Matt's and she clicked on it to read it, wondering if IG would alert him to it being read.
As she read the message, Matt told her about meeting his wife, falling in love, discovering Lindsey and going to her concerts, how him and his wife fell out of love, finding out he was being cheated on, reading about Lindsey being cheated on, what her music meant to him, and how it helped him get through his divorce, plus some words of advice and encouragement for her. As she read it, Lindsey started to tear up and felt sorry that she had missed it in her time of need.
