Note before the story; all characters are above the legal age, human wise as well as wyverians wise. It is a short story I wanted to write after playing the game and to be honest, warm myself before writing something longer again! Hope you like it.
Minoto looked carefully at yet another document from the guild, making sure to rewrite word for word the long description of the monster. Day slowly reached its end, the sun warmly shone on the sakura tree that was the main supporting pillar of the hub building, its pink flower petals looked even more beautiful than usual. From the moment of awe Minoto was taken away as her desk companion meowed welcomingly at the hunter entering the hub. She looked up and fixed her straight cut black bangs, her yellow eyes followed to the entrance and she recognized immediately the white hair of the female hunter, always tied into a high fluffy ponytail. Minoto felt a warm feeling inside of her as well on her pale cheeks as she saw the optimistic smile of the hunter, painted across her dirty and yet always fine handsome face, glowing with optimism, her pointy ears only adding to the fierce look, even more with small cuts on her.
The huntress raised her hand and waved, quickly stepping closer to the desk. With that Minoto could recognize the many small cuts across the leathery outfit the huntress wore, a red splash of dry blood on the furry collar, just below the woman's pointy ears. The rest of her outfit was mostly intact with all the tight belts securing her clothes in place.
"Good to see you back, Mikana." Minoto said with more warmth in her voice that she wanted to give up but the moment the huntress' face glowed with a smile, Minoto's worries disappeared.
"Good to be back! The mission is done, the Rajang that terrorized that trade route is done for." The huntress smiled while leaning on the desk, but Minoto could read from her heavy breathing and glistening in the setting sun sweaty skin, that Mikana was tired. Not wanting to keep the girl waiting she quickly responded;
"All good, I will prepare the report and you should get a rest. Thank you for another accomplishment for the guild." She said with full professionalism, even though in the deep she wanted to keep Mikana for longer.
"No need to thank me. See you around." And with that the huntress stepped away. Before leaving the building she turned around and winked at Minoto, the huntress' purple eyes met the hub maiden's eyes. Minoto quickly turned her face away, feeling her cheeks burning with embarrassment...
Minoto walked through the streets of Kamura long after finished her job, still wearing her usual white and red outfit made of matching kimono and a few pieces of armour. She quickly reached the huntress house. Even when the day was ending and the night sky slowly painted hundreds of shimmering stars, the hub maiden preferred to gaze at those from the confines of her or her friend's house, preferably with her dear twin sister, Hinoa. The street vendors were already closed, people left the streets to rest in their houses and seeing always lively streets in such quiet form, created a feeling of slight loneliness in the woman. The sense of it was swept away the moment she heard her sister's voice, no matter what she would always recognize it, even now as she only heard a quiet moan. Minoto's heart started to beat faster and she felt warmth in her chest and cheeks as she stepped closer and peaked inside the huntress house through the window that was almost closed, slightly open enough to look inside.
Minoto always knew that Hinoa was better with people even though they looked exactly the same. Her social skills were much higher and the girl had more experience with social gatherings. After all, Minoto was a hub quest maiden, working with hunters and the guild while Hinoa spend most of her time in the city, not only helping hunters and redirecting quests to them but as well taking care of kids and always being a bright star to lighten up the people around. The fact that Minoto and Hinoa were wyverians meant nothing in the grand picture, after all the hunters were the same. All live in peace and understanding for years, helping each other like a one big family in the Kamura village.
And with that Minoto knew that her sister was much closer with the Mikana then she was. Minoto couldn't just ask the huntress to hang out more or even for a date, how would that look in the eyes of the public? She knew that her work was more important than personal fun on the side and possible conflict of the interest and yet she was curious about the possibility of them both meeting in a more private matter. At the same time she knew Hinoa does it all the time, sharing stories and having fun with the people of Kamura, always there to cheer someone up and enjoy simpler things in life, and the best proof of that was Hinoa's addiction to bunny dango, the local sweets adored by many.
With that in mind, Minoto wasn't surprised as she looked inside and recognized her sister black hair freely flowing down her naked back and over the muscular arms of Mikana. Their bodies were tightly connected within the hug they shared, from the moans of the both, Minoto knew they enjoyed it. Her heart, instead of sinking down to her stomach, started to beat faster, her eyes thirsted upon the image as she felt her face warming up. But when her eyes slowly glared and reached her sister's lower back, she stopped herself but too late, in fact her interest peaked as she spotted the reason why her dearest sister enjoyed herself so much. The large and almost muscular shaft, just like the rest of the huntress' body slowly and rhythmically slide in and out of Hinoa's shapely bottom, passionately locked in the moment they both closely snuggled to each other, sharing the moment of pleasure, and Minoto was simply jealous of it.
The peaking girl almost jumped when she heard the faint sound of the tree behind her being moved and she turned around faster than her mind could process it. Her eyes searched for the person that caught her peeking but she found nothing, at least nothing human as the curious large green eyes of an orange owl looked down at her. Minoto recognized the purple simple outfit made of two ropes and a collar on the bird, being the sign that the curious cohoot was the pet of the huntress. Of course the little bird would protect her owner but in this case, why wasn't the owl making any noise to alert Mikana? The hub maiden smiled and imagined that perhaps the cahoot understood somehow her feelings? But how, if she didn't really understand them herself?
Minoto knew she needed to stop it. She turned around for the last time, before walking away to her home.
Minoto awoke with her mind still foggy but remembering the last images from her dreams. The blushed face of the huntress, closing on her with her lips in the gesture that could only be a kiss. She gazed around the room and within the dimly lit walls she saw her sister, laying still, presumably sleeping on her bed. The girl smiled seeing her sister safe and her mind wandered to the previous day and she heard her sister pleasurable moans again. Hinoa was happy and couldn't be more safe than in the hands of Mikana, the soaring flame of Kamura, as many called her. And yet, Minoto was jealous. She was supposed to be the one always protecting her sister. She was supposed to be the one taking care of her sister and perhaps even taking care of Mikana.
No, she couldn't. The three of them, her sister and huntress and Minoto herself were always close. Their friendship was deep and strong, due to them all being wyverians as well as hunting monsters, and Minoto imagined it will be always like that, with many years that the friendship should stay like this, hub maidens and defenders of the village with their Huntress, always there to fight the biggest danger there would be.
"You are such a cutie when you get so deep into your thoughts, sister." Hinoa's voice softly broke the silence with the teasing tone. Like she always did, Hinoa resonated with many, but it was special for her sister. It was almost like she could read her mind sometimes, ability that Minoto couldn't recreate but slowly learned more about. And now she felt stupid that in the storm of so many thoughts, she overlooked that detail. She sat up and looked at a smiling Hinoa, still comfortably laying on her bed.
"Ask her out. Or maybe I should, on your behalf?" Hinoa giggled while stretching out, ready for the day,
