"Hey Matt :)
How's it going? I'm in NY currently, staying in my usual suite.
Do you feel like hanging out tonight? :P"
Jessica Alba nibbled on her full bottom lip as she read over the short message for a second, then a third time, butterflies dancing inside her stomach. It took some serious overcoming and her heart raced a little when she finally managed to bring herself to hit the send button.
Letting out a deep, relieved sigh, the actress dropped her phone onto the mattress next to her. She let her head fall back against the headboard of the hotel bed she was sitting on, savoring the little rush that taking this step had caused. She was single. Nothing she was doing was wrong in any way.
Still married, yet separated from her husband for about a month now, things were still fresh and unfamiliar. She had spent most of her adult life in basically two relationships and even in the time she had been single, men had been approaching her. It simply never had been necessary for the Latina to take the first step, so this was a new experience.
She took a sip from the hot, smooth cup of coffee that was sitting on the nightstand next to her bed, feeling her heart pounding inside her chest. Matt was a young barkeeper who worked one of the bars Jessica frequented during her regular visits to the Big Apple. They had met a few years back when Jessica had been a patron and while she had waited for a friend to arrive, the two of them had struck up a conversation. While she had been very much married at that point and in no way had any interest in stepping out, that didn't mean that she hadn't very much enjoyed their talk. Matt was attractive. Tall, dark hair, dark eyes, devilish smirk and quick wit and the two of them had immediately felt the chemistry, so much so that once Jessica's friend arrived, she loudly wondered whether she was interrupting something.
While making it clear that she wasn't going to cheat, her visits became more and more regular over the last couple of years. After the first few, the two of them had exchanged phone numbers and following that they hadn't just met up at Matt's bar, but had gone to the cinema, met for brunch or even hung out at her regular hotel room suite at the Crosby hotel. While the faithful wife would have firmly denied it at that point, looking back, Jessica had to admit that she had basically been dating the bartender without doing the deed, their mutual attraction undeniable and even building further and further over time.
She lifted her phone, seeing two small blue checkmarks that indicated that indicated her message had been read, but there was no reply in sight. With her marriage now officially over, Jess and her husband going their separate ways, the idea of meeting Matt again filled her with an entirely new form of excitement.
It wasn't that she was looking for a new relationship right away. Matt was over 10 years her junior and while it wasn't illegal to her it felt like too much of an age gap. However, there were other needs that had to be taken care of. In the dying months of a marriage, sex usually wasn't a regular occurrence and Jessica clearly felt the urges at this point. While she wasn't looking for a boyfriend, there was definitely some fun to be had and she knew that Matt felt the same way, knew that he was dying to get his hands on her.
Now, sitting on her bed, staring out of the large window down at the famous New York skyline as she enjoyed her excellent morning cup, she had decided it was time for her to scratch the itch. She had two smaller appointments throughout the day, but a lazy morning allowed her to sleep in and lounge around in her sleepwear and her evening was held purposely open. Sitting on the bed, she had decided that this would be the day she would get her first new dick in almost twenty years and had taken the first step.
Another glance at her phone told her that Matt still hadn't replied, causing a light furrow of her brow. Somehow, the possibility of her message remaining unanswered hadn't entered her mind. What if Matt were busy, or out of town? She took a long breath, reminding herself to be calm and patient. Another sip of coffee helped her to settle herself. Matt would reply.
She finished her cup slowly, relishing every warm drop while her eyes regularly darted over to the screen, but once she had swallowed the final bits and there still was no sign of a reply, she decided that she'd go on with her day while hoping. Jumping off the bed, she grabbed her phone and made her way to the lavish ensuite bathroom.
Choosing a pop-heavy playlist from her Spotify account, she shed the cotton tank top and the small shorts that functioned as her sleepwear. Stepping into the shower, she turned the knobs to enjoy another small pleasure as warm water with excellent pressure washed over her body. She deliberately took her time, unwilling to rush anything and letting the hot water rinse away the sleepiness before she grabbed the shower lotion and lathered herself up.
