London, England
Jet lag was lingering through the change of time zones. Upon first glance, a trip from Miami to London didn't seem to be that big of a deal, but sometimes it would cause something of a struggle between flight times. Nino Williams could say he experienced that problem before. A quick flight from the west coast to the east only threw him off a few hours, but leaving the US sometimes had consequences to his sleeping schedule. Now at thirty-years of age, he was willing to blame it all on the party back in south Florida the night before his flight. That was one wild night of loud music, plenty of booze and lustful fun alongside one special woman. Perhaps he was lucky he could remember most of the night after having several drinks. The hangover wasn't to be forgotten any time soon however.
Ana De Armas was one special woman for the hour here in London. The thirty-three year old Cuban-Spanish actress was ready for a grand debut at the Royal Albert Hall. Unlike Nino, she didn't have the concern of feeling a hangover or any sudden change of a sleep schedule. The premier for her Bond film 'No Time To Die'. Nino couldn't help but sigh in frustration that he couldn't be her date on this premier. They had enjoyed a back and forth affair over the past year, beginning after she had ended a relationship with a high profile actor. Working around people of status and fame was nothing new at this point for Nino in his life. After injuries began to derail his football dreams in college, Nino transitioned to a different career path. He wasn't content knowing the ugly truth he wouldn't be drafted in a high round with a lingering knee injury.
The pain felt like a lifetime ago at this point. Knowing the right people back at the university, he was able to begin training for stunt work. It took much courage to go through with risks like that, but Nino spent years working after his scholarship. Knowing the right people in college had helped solidify a decent career path in stunt work. The first gig he landed was to be trained by another stunt man who needed two men that were willing to take risks with learning firearms and stunt work revolving around gun play. For four years, Nino spent all his time training with firearms and then landing a few roles in television shows when a black gun man was needed for stunt work. He had forgotten entirely about his football dreams as he earned a living another way. Coming from a black family back in New York, he had never forgotten his roots back home.
Through time of work, he avoided relationships that could have led to a family down the line. Nino instead took it upon himself to stay in healthy shape with proper gym routines and always looking for work. After his fifth year of firearm stunt work, he took an offer with an agent out of Universal who was looking for an expert to train for action related films. This was something of a big break that Nino didn't learn about upon first glance. He signed his name on the contract, expecting a heavy pay day. What he ended up with was working alongside A list actors and actresses. Keanu Reeves was the first big name he met, leading to minor involvement with the John Wick series. It wasn't last year when Nino made another step up the ladder of film production. His agent had successfully landed him on the staff for the upcoming Bond film.
Having your name anywhere in the production credits for a Bond film was something of an achievement, Nino thought to himself. It was there he had met the actress Ana de Armas and would also be his first flight out of the US. A studio in London was where they would spend most of the time filming. Nino was given the job to do proper firearm training with Ana and work with the cinematographer for a bit of stunt work. He would not be appearing on screen, instead simply rehearsing some scripted fight scenes after two weeks worth of proper fire arm training. Handguns were used in the film, but also in the additional of sub-machine guns. One specific scene required dual wielding for the actress, holding both a pistol and machine gun. This was something new for Nino, as his experience with machine guns was limited at best.
After hours from the sets, Nino found himself flirting with Ana. She had a lively personality, acting as the beating heart in rooms full of people. When he had first met her, she was still dating another actor. Nino didn't care about that though, as he tempted her for an affair after they went out to a pub one night. Ana rejected his offer, but told him that if the chance came up in the future, she would look into him. Nino felt that he had another chance with her after the breakup she had went through. By then, filming had wrapped up for the new 007 game and Ana would soon solidify her status as the latest Bond girl. Nino had went back to L.A. looking to sign on for another big budget film production. An offer had been made for him to join up with another firearms expert and work on a project for an NBC show.
All of his plans changed when Ana called him up, inviting him for a weekend of partying down in Miami before the premier of No Time To Die. Since he was only part of the production team, Nino figured that had to be why he wasn't invited to the premier. The red carpet was rolled out for the stars while he was just another name in the background for a credit screen. He didn't worry about that too much by the time he stepped off the plane and was greeted to the southern Florida humidity. Nino soon discovered that Ana had invited him for a reason, as this was the celebration party before the premier. A private night all to themselves at a high class night club was how Ana planned to spend the night. Nino brushed shoulders with some other members of the production crew those nights.
Much of it was a blur come the next morning as he was stuck in a hotel room in London. He couldn't remember how many drinks he had for the past two nights. One thing Nino did remember was the club name. Disco Fever must have carried a wild reputation locally in Miami. He could also recall the dancing girl back in the VIP rooms who he took back to the hotel that night and had fun with. She was Cuban, much like Ana but built differently and seemed to have age old experience to really show him several tricks. Her company was fun for a drunk night, but Nino was disappointed he had yet to slip between the sheets with Ana who was now teasing him about it. Jet lag had threw his sleep schedule off combined with the hang over.
He let out a sigh, closing his eyes and witnessing a flash of memories from last night. The Cuban woman had her way with him, easily putting him down on his back to take him for a ride after an impressive twerk show and lap dance. Her name started with a V but he couldn't remember it right now. It was a wonder to Nino that Ana had rang up his hotel and forced him stumble out and get on the plane with the rest of the crew heading out to London. Upon first awakening, Ana greeted him from the hotel room. Nino didn't hesitate to go stumbling into the bathroom to throw up. No chance to apologize before she had left to go change and get ready for the premier later that day. Stepping out of the hotel room, Nino was greeted by a few guys who worked on the camera crew. One of them had a similar hang over that he was currently struggling through.
