The History Trap

Authors Note: part 2 will contain details from a Doctor Who book titled "Doctor Who Touched by an Angel. The details will be a name of the main character.

"What just happened?" asked John. After Clara introduced John and Sherlock to the doctor so that they would become acquainted.

"Whoever that was just got sent back in time everyone in the TARDIS quick as you can as there is a faint trace that we can follow." The doctor said in response to John's question.

As everyone went into the TARDIS the doctor started throwing levers to set the TARDIS in flight but unlike his past selves there was no jerkiness the flight was a lot smoother which allowed John and Sherlock until they came to the year 1993 then the TARDIS shook as it bounced off the year. "What was that?" Clara asked.

"1993 we need some landing lights and I know the perfect person who can help." The doctor replied.

"Who's that?" John asked.

"Myself!" the doctor replied.

With Tom in 1993

The last thing that Tom remembered was being touched by an angel as he looked around he noticed that he was no longer in London but instead he was in the park closet to his house in Wolverhampton. If that wasn't bad enough for him he had a weird taste in his mouth to Tom it tasted like garlic. He chose to walk to the shops to find out how he got back in Wolverhampton as he pulled his earphones from his t-shirt which was connected to his Ipod in his trouser pocket some people around the park were giving him dirty looks. This slightly unsettled Tom as he thought "Have these people never seen someone wearing slim headphones?"

As Tom walked to the local shops he spotted someone with massive headphones ones that looked like the 2014 version of "beatz by Dr Dre" except they looked far more comfortable than the ones that Tom saw in 2014. As Tom got near the local shops which he knew as bottom shops as they were at the bottom of the hill where most of the estate was. He thought about going into the stars news agents to see if they knew when he saw something weird as he walked past the Kandybox shop where he saw Phil the person that used to run the Kandybox before he left in 2013 as he had sold the shop to a couple who changed the entire shop.

When he got to the stars news agents he walked to the counter there was a bit of a queue so while he waited he looked at the newspapers only to find something that had unsettled him. As he approached the newspapers he looked at what caught his eye the date in the corner of the newspapers as instead of any date in 2014 it read the date 14 December 1993. This was three days until he was born. "Excuse me are you going to get that?" As Tom turned to answer the gentleman he noticed it was his granddad in his late 50s early 60's.

With the 11th doctor and Clara 25/8/2013

The doctor had agreed in going with Clara to the café where they went the first time that they met at which just so happens to be the same café where Clara met Tom a year on. Just as the doctor was about to take the first bit out of his cake he heard the sound of the TARDIS which Clara heard too. As they both looked down they saw the TARDIS emerge out of thin air opposite the road where the café was. They both rushed down then when Clara got to the door leading into the main café she turned around only to see the doctor taking a bite out of the cake before joining Clara in heading outside to the new TARDIS that had just dematerialised.

As they both got outside a strange man wearing a black suit was standing outside the TARDIS as though he was waiting for someone and he was accompanied by two males one wearing a long coat with the collar turned up, a person standing as though he was still in the army and a female wait the doctor recognised the female it was CLARA. The doctor looked confused as there were two Clara's, him and Clara approached the new TARDIS gingerly as they didn't know what to expect. Neither Doctor nor Clara would say anything to break the ice until John punctured the silence with his questions.

"How did we get here and why are there 2 different people and the same person twice?"

"Oh for god sake John there are two of them because it is the same person just at different times hence why the same female is here twice. It is obvious a police box from the 60s that is bigger on the inside that can travel in time..." Sherlock started saying before the 11th doctor added.

"...and Space that box is the TARDIS which stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Well done with the rest of that and it is correct."

"We are the same person at different points in time we are both the doctor and both of us have had Clara here as our companion while we travel through time." The 12th doctor added.

"Why are you here?" The 11th doctor asked the 12th doctor.

"We need your help we encountered someone who seemed to capture the attention of Clara and he got touched by an angel sending him back in time. But he was sent back within his own timeline but we need your help as we bounced off 1993 whereas if you help us and go back to 31st December 1992 at 11:59 then you can send us a message when you see him so we can smash through. Since you are one of the versions that understands Weeping Angels once we get him back to 2014 you will not see me again for a while." The 12th doctor explained to the 11th doctor with that bit at the end the 11th doctor couldn't argue with that agreement as it was really unnerving the 11th doctor seeing his future self.

"Ok I will help but I don't know who this person is so I will need someone not Clara as two Clara's would be confusing..." The 11th doctor started saying when he spotted what his other companions saw in the shadows of the corner was wait that looked familiar it was CLARA a third Clara this was getting confusing.

While both doctors were gobsmacked looking towards the Clara's and towards the new Clara before Sherlock broke the silence now instead of John. "What are you doing there when you are here?"

"I was touched by an angel and I found myself here but 2 months ago." The new Clara said answering Sherlock's question.

"Wait 2 months ago what did you do for 2 months and were you living on the streets?" The Clara that was with the 11th doctor asked but before the new Clara could answer the 12th doctor butted in by saying.

"Don't say anything as that Clara will find out when the time comes but tell me what year were you in before you got touched?"

"1999 location Ashmore Park, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton sometime in the winter."

"Ok we will meet you in that year as we can land there and wait while doctor can you take John and Sherlock with you as they know who we are looking for and Clara's you come with me." The 12th doctor said this plan seemed to be well thought out while the doctor, John and Sherlock walked to the 11th doctors TARDIS the 12th Doctor took the 3 Clara's into the TARDIS. While he flipped switches which cancelled the paradox so nothing can happen and he also cancelled the effect of having 2 versions of the person would bring.

The doctor said he had finished and no more paradoxes would be created. When Clara disappeared only to appear with a Fez as she gave it to the Clara that had appeared out of the blue. "What are you doing Clara?" The doctor asked Clara when she re-emerged with the Fez.

"I thought then this way you we can tell who is the Clara that appeared out of thin air in the sense that she is from the near future and that means she is "F" Clara. Fez is something that begins with F and there is something else that we can do that begins with F." The Clara that brought the Fez out which happened to be the Clara that was travelling with the 12th doctor. The Clara's and the doctor could tell which one was the doctor's Clara was, they didn't have to worry about the Clara that was with the 11th doctor as that Clara was wearing different clothes.

All three Clara's disappeared together off towards Clara's room in the TARDIS the doctor moved up to the chair that he placed by the bookcase which he moved during his redecoration. He picked up one of the books on the shelf titled "The History of Gallifrey" while he waited for the message from his past self.

With the 3 Clara's while the TARDIS was in the time vortex

All three Clara's were holding back the restraint until the door to her room was open. Then all three Clara's started rubbing their smooth, hairless pussy's as the same thought had dawned on all three at the same time. As he locked onto the year his future self gave him to head to both Sherlock and John looked round the room until the TARDIS came to a halt. After a few months talking and reading they arrived to the day that Tom got sent back to 14 December 1993 and the scanner agreed with that knowledge. They exited the TARDIS only to find that Tom was leaving a house as he paused to wipe a tear from his eye while an youngish woman shouted a name that he obviously gave as an alias.

After he met his own granddad in the news agents he had convinced him and his own nan that he was a distant relative of theirs. He found out that his mum had just been admitted to the hospital as she was going into labour with Tom, "I thought we didn't have any distant relatives from America was it?" his nan asked.

"Yeah I am from..." Tom searched quickly for a state that he knew so he didn't look suspicious. Then one came into his mind.

"Cape Kennedy in Florida." Realising once he said that was obvious something to do with the space race.

"What are you doing over here?" his granddad asked.

"I am searching for relatives as I am working on a family tree and that lead me to here." Tom replied trying not to dig himself into a deeper hole. While he looked out of the window from where he was sitting he noticed all the time he visited his grandparents he never noticed the angel statues on the roof directly opposite.

"You don't sound American you sound more local." His nan said quite suspiciously.

"I am American I just sound like this as I have been in Wolverhampton for 5 months searching so I have picked up the accent." Tom said in response and that said gave his nan the evidence she needed. They all spoke for a further half an hour while Tom was trying not to openly cry due to both his grandparents speak highly of himself before he was born yet.

They kept it general as they didn't know themselves if it was a boy or girl hearing them be proud grandparents stopped Tom saying the truth about how he was the child that he mum was about to give birth too and everything that was about to happen. He didn't however as he saw the twinkle in their eyes that he never see before so instead he bid them goodbye for now as he said he had to get back to America to tell his family about what he found. His nan saw him to the door as he walked towards the bottom shops he heard his nan call his name.

"Tom"

Tom didn't turn around as he didn't want to show her he was crying after hearing everything that they had talked about. As he walked towards the small island he spotted a familiar faces in the form of John and Sherlock but the doctor didn't look as he saw back in 2014 as this one was wearing a bowtie. This wasn't the only thing he spotted out of the corner of his eye he spotted 4 angel statues looking towards them. Didn't the statues used to be further away and on the roof not on the pavement.

He felt a hand on his shoulder before he heard 1 word.

"RUN!!"

Come from the person in person in the bowtie as all 4 of them started to run backwards keeping the angels in eye sight but what the 4 didn't see the 2 angels blocking there escape route as they turned around they saw that they were trapped by 6 weeping angels. While they were by a small islands near Tom's grandparents there was a small gap leading down a road which took them out onto a busy road by the bottom shops. Tom found upon turning around that the stranger in the bowtie, Sherlock and John were looking at the statues. Tom nudged the closest person to him which turned out to be Sherlock "The road down there we can use it as an escape route to get away."

Before John could nudge the doctor they heard him say. "Can't we sort this out like anyone else sit down with some Jammie Dodgers & comfy chairs?" when the doctor didn't get a response 30 seconds later he then said.

"Worth a try might have been a futile attempt but I just wanted to see the blank looks on your faces." Then John nudged the doctor so he heard the message from Tom.

Sherlock nudged John and the Doctor pointing it out and the 4 of them backed slowly towards the road keeping eye contact with the angels. When they all got clear of them John & Sherlock ran down to road stopping at the cross roads only to hear Tom shouting "Go down to the next road we can use the traffic as a cover." Upon hearing this both Sherlock and John carried on running while Tom and the doctor followed behind. Both running backwards as fast as they could making sure that the weeping angels weren't following as they were not following but the doctor never forgot the words.

"The image of an angel is therefore an angel."

They couldn't hear any flapping of wings or see the statues on any of the roads. Once they got clear of the street the questions began the first one was from Tom. "Anyone care to explain how you three and I got here in 1993?"

"You were touched by a weeping angel silent assassins usually it's a hit and run incident feeding of the potential time energy created by sending someone back in time. Time usually paper over the cracks as people who get sent back doesn't know that much about day to day life to make any significant changes. You on the other hand must be very special as these angels feed off paradoxes therefore you must have been sent to a significant time for yourself and they are probably feeding off the nice little paradox you created just speaking to the people you spoke to who were they?" The doctor said before asking his question.

"My grandparents." Tom replied to the doctors question and weirdly he trusted this strange man wearing a cool bowtie with the grey longish jacket complete with the gold chain, grey dinner jacket which he wore accompanied with trousers and black shoes.

"Well I suggest getting back to the TARDIS while we are not being followed. How do we get back to the park from here Tom?" The doctor asked.

"We need to head towards the shops and in the gate that way if the angels aren't blocking it if they are we can use one of the other entrances." As all 4 of them ran full pelt which was trickier in Tom's case as he was carrying his backpack as he was when he got touched. None of them noticed the angel statues anywhere even when they got to the entrance nothing was blocking it.

Tom and the doctor sat down on a bench near where the TARDIS landed while Sherlock and John were lookouts at opposite ends on the small park both of them were within running distance of the TARDIS. "So what do you want to do?" The doctor said to Tom as he sat down next to him.

"I want to stay here in 1993." Tom replied without hesitation.

"Why?" The doctor asked.

"Because of this letter." As he fished the letter out of his jacket pocket and handed it to the doctor. Upon taking the letter he noticed that the envelope was physic as it makes whoever reads it think it is someone else's handwriting so long as it's pointed out that who's handwriting it looks like.

"You know that this envelope is made up of physic material so you see the handwriting as your own." The doctor said to Tom.

"How can you tell?" Tom asked.

"I saw this before with Mark Whitaker as similar angels did the same thing he received a letter seemingly from his past self as the angels did it to change the past. This situation seems like déjà vu." The doctor said in response to Tom's question.

"Who are you?" Tom asked this directly aimed at the doctor.

"I am the doctor."

"Like Clara's friend she called who I saw before I found myself in 1993."

"Yes but the one you saw is the future me which cannot be possible as my people can only regenerate 12 times once we leave Gallifrey and I am regeneration number 12. I am looking forward to seeing how I can regenerate again but I can tell you one thing it is going to be a whooper."

"Are you an alien?"

"Yes I am, are you ok with that?"

"Yes I am and nice bowtie although somehow I think you would look better with a long scarf."

At this point John and Sherlock came back to join Tom and the doctor on the bench as they were sure that no angels would turn up. The doctor handed the letter back to Tom when they all heard a loud dong come from the TARDIS as the doctor said upon hearing it.

"No no no this cannot be happening the engines are phasing as it is about to be thrown into the time vortex." The doctor ran to the TARDIS which was literally right next to the bench they were sitting on. As the doctor opened the doors he told John and Sherlock to go in where they did leaving the doctor in the threshold leading into the TARDIS but when Tom went to step into the TARDIS there was a strong wind coming from the doctor's time machine as he tried to pull Tom into the TARDIS until the force knocked the doctor back into the TARDIS as it dematerialised leaving Tom in 1993.

Tom turned around to see the angels getting closer so Tom ran with the letter and his backpack through the closest gate away from the angels he was alone and stuck in 1993. When he got to the bus stop he paid for a daysaver catching the bus into Wolverhampton so he can stop at a B&B until he can figure something out.

When he checked himself into a local hotel he was given room 12 so he went to the room. Once the door opened tom stepped in placing his bag on the bed before he looked at the letter. The person on reception told Tom that he would pay once his account becomes active again as he had told the receptionist that he needs a day for his account to become active again. Tom had used his charm to sway the 19 year old female receptionist in letting it slide for 24 hours.

The doctor told him that the envelope was made from physic material but to him it looked like his hand writing, desperate to get rid of the weight he carried with him from enduring his dad raping him for 3 years he opened the letter. The letter started off as a check list with a list of events in his life starting off as his birth 3 days from that point. The list then went into a letter which read.
