Rick Castle and Katherine Beckett took some time off after the week long detail Kate performed for Frank Reagan. They spent the week at the Hamptons just lying around and watching the snow fall on the bay. They spent Valentine's Day week-end there and never left the house over the three day week-end. They began planning their next holiday party. They had several of the old group begging for a party and he tentatively planned it for Memorial Day. They both agreed to make it a shorter party and would have the group arrive on Saturday afternoon.

Back in the city, Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) took off a day to plan a coming out party for her partner Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg). Seeing the entire plan was her baby, she was going to be the main course in his upcoming party.
Maria's idea was to get a hold of three of his ex-female partners. She thought if they couldn't persuade Danny to quit acting like a monk, then no one could. He tried to close the door, but Jackie was too quick, her large boot blocked the door from closing, "We're coming in, so quit your bitching and let us in, it's fucking cold out here."
He allowed her to throw open the door and he reached for the throw blanket across the back of the sofa. "Okay you three, what's the big idea?"
Kate chuckled, "We were sent here by your partner, Maria Baez to bring you out of your funk. What better way than pizza and beer?" She handed him a twelve pack and so did Mac and in doing so, made him release the blanket that fell around his feet.
He put the beer on the nearby table and grabbed for the blanket, but Jackie kicked it aside, "You're not going to need that tonight, or tomorrow. We plan to bring you back to the world of the living." She grabbed his arm and placed the pizza on top of the beers. She made him sit on the sofa and grabbing the blanket, she handed it to him, "Listen Danny, I knew Linda rather well and I know if she was able to talk to you she'd say, "Get on with your life you stubborn Irish Bastard!" I wanna ask you one thing, if the roles were reversed, what would you tell Linda?"
He nodded, "Yeah, I know, but I just can't seem to stop thinking about her. I miss her so much."
Kate stood before him, she was taller than him when she wore her heels or boots, "Listen Danny, we always got along and I got to know Linda when you were set up with those drugs planted in your trunk. She thanked me for helping out and she appreciated what you two had together, but she also told me, that if something ever happened to her, she knew you would be okay. She knew you always had female partners and they would be there for you. This is Valentine's Day weekend and we are here for you, so you better eat a lot a pizza; drink a lot of beer." She reached into her jacket pocket and tossed him a bottle of those little blue pills, "And you better take one or two of these, you're gonna need them."
He caught the bottle and chuckled, "Viagra, huh? Do you really think I need these? Ask Jackie, she know how I can get, but I'm not sure if I really wanna do this."
Mac sat down on the other side of him. She leaned in and began nibbling at his neck and her tongue darted out and ran along his ear canal.
