New York City, New York
Into the afternoon, sunlight poured into every window of Jennifer Lopez's penthouse suite. After last night, it was only natural that she and Tony overslept past ten o'clock. Memories of the wild time they shared with Beyonce were fresh on Jennifer's mind from the minute she opened her eyes. She fell asleep with Tony, cuddling in bed together. It was a pleasant start to the day to wake up in his arms. Her head was still resting against his chest as he awakened. Tony was shirtless, wearing only his black pair of boxers. The last thing he and Jennifer did after reaching the hotel at midnight was strip down to their underwear. They didn't even manage to get a shower before going to bed. His pants and shirt were on the floor below, but he didn't care. Nothing mattered in the world to him except to wake up with one arm around her. Jennifer sighed as she looked up into his eyes.
"Good morning, papi."
"Good morning to you, Jen."
Her right hand softly caressed his face, tracing the jawline where she felt the tiny hairs of his five o'clock shadow. A subtle reminder to Tony that he needed to shave once he was ready to climb out of bed. He didn't want to get up. There was nothing in the world that could disturb this moment he shared with Jennifer. His life felt perfect while she was lying against him. He ran his left hand through her long brunette hair while she rested the side of her head against his chest. Under her right cheek, Jennifer could hear his heartbeat thumping. She gently moved her fingers across the other side of his chest while Tony stroked her hair. He closed his eyes, relaxing to the sound of her breathing.
"Are you still worn out after last night?"
Tony chuckled before answering her question.
"Yeah, I guess I am. You and Beyonce worked me over good. I'm just glad to wake up like this with you."
Jennifer raised her head from his chest to look into his eyes. She blushed while he smiled at her.
"I love you."
After he spoke, she leaned in, pressing her lips to his for a short kiss. Tony closed his eyes, moving his hands to her back as they kissed a second time. When Jennifer pulled away, she smiled.
"I love you too, Tony. It feels good to wake up hearing someone tell me that before I get the chance to brush my teeth."
With a laugh, Tony smirked.
"Are you trying to say I've got stinky breath?"
She moved off him, laughing as she climbed out of bed. Tony leaned up to sit while he watched Jennifer's thick booty cheeks rub together in her black thong. She stomped her way to the bathroom, laughing at him as she glanced across her right shoulder.
"I'm brushing mine first! We should call room service and order breakfast before getting in the shower. I don't know about you, but I'm hungry."
"That's fine, baby. I'll do that while you're in the bathroom."
Rising out of bed, Tony stretched out his legs and yawned. He glanced over the nightstand and saw the time on a digital clock near the lamp. The yellow letters read 10:48. It was time to get up and moving to go about the day. He thought about the events that happened last night. The threesome he shared with Beyonce and Jennifer was just one part of their meeting. Tony was already thinking about where their business would go from there. With things moving forward with his new status as Mr. J-Lo, he began to wonder if now was the time to propose. All this time spent with her in New York made him feel comfortable about the future going forward. But he needed to make it official by putting a ring on her finger. It was among his first thoughts of the day after waking up. They would both be traveling back to Miami soon. If he were to ask her to marry him, Tony wanted to do it close to the place she called home.
He would need to make the decision without her knowing. The more he thought about a ring, Tony knew he had to surprise Jennifer. He didn't know his way around New York City, but he still had to go out and search for the right jewelry store. He was certain that there was a good place around town where he could search for engagement rings. This idea had suddenly come to him. Tony knew he would spend the day obsessing over the ring and nothing else. As he glanced down at the floor, he saw his pants lying there. He leaned down to grab his phone from the pocket. It was flashing a red light from a text message notification. As he swiped the screen, he saw his son's name. He had not considered the small talk he had with Antonio yesterday. When he opened the text message and saw the pictures, Tony froze. He quickly remembered what Antonio was trying to explain to him about finding printed photographs of Steven.
The photos were of a man with Kim Kardashian. The glare of a light and wrinkle in the pages showed they were from a magazine. Tony felt something cold run through his body. It had been several months since he last saw his brother. All the memories about their falling out came rushing back to his mind. For months he had wondered where Steven disappeared to. He never would've dreamed that the answer would come in paparazzi photographs printed in some celebrity gossip rag. It felt so random and out of place. He guessed that Antonio had purchased the magazine and saw the photographs from a pure coincidence. As he clutched his phone, Tony stared at the screen. There was no mistaking the man with Kim. The long hair didn't hide a face he knew all too well. He swallowed his breath, trying to hold back the barrage of emotions that were bubbling inside him. There was much anger and pain he felt for Steven's quiet retreat from life.
"Tony, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Jennifer's soft voice brought him back to the world and out of his bleak thoughts. He looked away from the phone to see her standing to his left side. Her hair was pinned in a high ponytail, and a silky white robe covered her body, tied around the waist. Tony showed her the phone as he replied.
"I just did. Look what Antonio sent me."
She looked at his phone, squinting her eyes for a brief second and then widening them. Jennifer's lower lip fell as she realized who was in the photos.
