Big Bang Theory - It's Summertime

Guys set up their own beach on the rooftop. Their blonde neighbour inadvertently makes the heat even worse. Happens in the summer after the first season.

The early summer heat was lasting for over two weeks at this time. Los Angeles valley was bathing in over 90 degrees Fahrenheit (33c) and was forecasted to climb over 100 in the following days. Over at Los Robles apartment building was no different. Typical California weather, but for a particular sun-starved country girl from Nebraska, it was perfect. Sun was picking up strength, but it was not yet unbearably burning hot through the day.

Penny loved this time of the year, with vacations starting in a few weeks, she already had her mind set to the upcoming summer season.

"What in the world..." Penny gasped in surprise at the sight on a Saturday early morning. Various beeping and other mechanical noises woke her up earlier and she looked out the window to see what was happening. A truck-mounted crane lifting a container loaded with a few tons of white beach sand past your window on the fourth floor is not something to be seen every day. She got dressed and headed up on the roof.

"Guys! This is amazing! I cannot believe it, we're getting our own private beach?" Penny was surprised when she reached the rooftop and saw what was going on. Both Sheldon and Leonard were straightening the sand over the concrete floor. Operator of a little digger was bringing the sand to a few smaller piles all over the rooftop. Penny grabbed another rake and helped spread the sand from one of the piles into a flat surface.

"Yeah, Sheldon and I convinced the building manager to put white sand on the roof. It's a great way to insulate it and reduce the heating of the building." Leonard leaned on his shovel.

"Howard and Raj will be here soon, they're bringing the pool." Sheldon hung up his cell phone.

"We get the pool as well!?" Penny shrieked in surprise.

"Of course we are. What good is a beach without a pool?" Sheldon looked at her seriously.

"Oh, I love it! This is gonna be so good, I love you guys for doing this." Penny couldn't hide her enthusiasm. This was

definitely

a better project than that silly time machine they got a few months ago.

"Eh, don't mention it." Leonard swiped away his hand, it felt good to score a few extra points with the beautiful neighbour.

Howard and Raj arrived with the pool, which was quickly hoisted up on the rooftop with the crane. Much faster and easier process compared to carrying the whole thing up five floors.

It was 15 feet (4.5m) in diameter inflatable garden pool, with 4 feet (1.2m) of depth, perfectly sized for their rooftop. Guys being engineers, naturally made a few modifications to it. Small, but very powerful air conditioning unit was added to the filter pumps to cool the water as it passed through the filtering system. This way they kept it at a pleasant 75 Fahrenheit (24c) at all times, no matter how hot it got through the day. It served also as a refrigerator, a power unit and an ice cube maker. It kept their ice creams and beverages ice-cold, no matter the outside temperature.

All five worked for an hour, getting the whole area flat and even. They set the pool in place and let the air pump to inflate it. They were finished with heavier labour before the late morning heat became unbearable to get any more hard work done.

While Raj and Howard were filling the pool and loading up the fridge, Penny was helping Sheldon and Leonard. Together they brought up two large sun shade umbrellas, deck chairs and loungers for all of them and a few other summer beach requisites.

Howard and Raj changed into their swim shorts and hit the chairs, once everything was mostly in place. Each resting with a bottle of cold Coors in their hand. They waited for others who went down to change from casual to beach wear. Leonard and Sheldon were first to return. Leonard took a seat next to Howard and Raj. He didn't want to miss Penny's arrival. Sheldon took the seat farthest from the door. He took off his shirt and made himself comfortable opening the latest comic book purchase.

Penny came out last.

"Oh, this place is

so

awesome." She could not believe how great the whole place looked, when everything was eventually set up. She stood at the door and checked around. She slowly made her way past the crowd on her left, checking the pool on the right side with the view of the whole Los Angeles valley in the background.

If this was a cartoon, three jaws would drop to the floor, tongues rolling out and three pairs of eyes shooting out of the heads. Penny looked absolutely stunning in her red two-piece bikini. Scant pieces and thin strings barely covered any of her. Over the hips she also wore a white sheer cover. Being a thin see-through fabric, it didn't do much else, other than adding to her looks. Pair of sunglasses and a sun hat made out of straw covering her wavy blonde hair, topped off her summer beach-going style.

She looked better than many of the cover girls in magazines. Their blonde next door neighbour was a real supermodel. They all saw her wearing her colorful skimpy tops and short shorts, but now for the first time with not much more than a little bikini covering her, she looked truly amazing.

Her entrance made Howard almost choke on his sip and Leonard squeezed his beer can hard, denting it.

She gracefully made her way past the crowd, knowing very well how much attention she drew from the three of them, while the fourth kept his eyes and focus on reading the comic book. Her long toned legs grabbed the most attention from the trio, their heads swiveling from right to the left with her walking by to her spot in the sun.

Just when the scene could not get any better, Sheldon delivered.

"Ice cream and beverages are in the fridge by the pool." He was first to break the silence, with the rest slowly coming to their breaths and senses. Penny looked down upon him through her large sunglasses, hitching her breath. Sheldon looked mighty fine without his usual geeky set of shirts on. He lowered his magazine and gazed up, hiding his usual stare behind a pair of sleek narrow shades. He gave her his usual annoyed stare, but a never-seen-before hint of his abdomen muscles and shades kept her lingering over his body a little longer than usual.

"Thanks!" Penny stretched her lounger and pulled it away from the shade, closer towards the pool.

She took the white cover off her hips and laid it over the wooden frame.

She skipped over to the freezer and bent down into the drawer. As before, three pairs of eyes ogled her rear, while the fourth couldn't care less about her and returned back to the magazine. Howard, she suspected, loaded the fridge to the brink with suspiciously large quantities of beer and liquor, beside the usual sodas and juices.

She took a popsicle from the separate drawer on top and returned back to the group.

Leonard, Howard and Raj awkwardly shot their views aside, when they saw her turning around. Only Sheldon was mischievously smiling at her from his deck chair. The comic book he pretended to be reading lay on his lap.

Unlike others, he didn't mind letting her know he was openly checking her out all the time she was bent over. Same as now, walking back to her lounger she placed a bit further away from them. She couldn't tell with his sunglasses on, but she felt

his

stare. He

wanted

her to know. He knew she enjoyed him and not the others. Sheldon always had a higher self-esteem on his physical looks than the rest.

Penny hooked her phone into the portable speaker and selected her favourite summer EDM sets, perfect for summer beach parties. She laid down away from the shade, under the powerful sun and made herself comfortable.

"Guys, this is so good... I can't

wait

to try the pool." She laid back and took the frozen treat into her mouth, swaying her feet in the rhythm of the music and enjoying the view.

"Neither can we..." Howard mumbled, watching her licking and nibbling that popsicle. Ice cream was slowly melting on the bottom part, she took her time with it. He noticed one cold drop dripped in her cleavage... "Ahem, who wants another drink?" He had to stand up and faked a trip to the fridge to cool off.

After a short sunbathing session, Penny needed to cool off as well. Her body was already glistening with a bit of perspiration.

"Come on guys, let's get in! Sheldon!?" Penny got up from her lounger and waved at her friends who for now just wanted to chill in the shade, sip a cold one and rest their eyes on her. That alone was worth all the effort they put into this project.

"Aha! I got just the thing for you, haha!" Penny was feeling like a kid again. She grabbed one of their toy water guns and dipped the tank into the pool. "Lock'n' load, boys!" She locked the bottle in place and aimed at her blue-eyed neighbour.

"You don't dare..." Sheldon shook his head, but put away his comic book and stood up.

"Come and get some, hahaha!" Penny did not hesitate, she unloaded the whole tank into Sheldon, squirting stream after stream of water into his chest from her toy gun, dying of laughter.

"Oh that's

really

not fair..." Sheldon didn't share her enthusiasm when getting blasted with a cold stream from her. He stepped towards her, unarmed. There was no time to fill his soaker, he chose a more direct approach to get her wet.

"All is fair in love and war, baby! Wooo, hahaha!" She took a few quick steps back, around the pool, making him chase her, blasting him a few more times.

Leonard was barely holding onto his chair, laughing almost rolled him off. Howard and Raj chuckled and enjoyed the view. Sexy bikini-clad blonde in an attack stance, even when holding a water gun, Penny looked exactly like those models from the 'Chicks who love guns' scene in Jackie Brown.

"I'm out, I'm out, reloading!"* Penny mocked their Halo gaming nights when she ran out of water. Already developing a first-person shooter instinct, she tossed the big two-handed toy away in the sand and pulled out a smaller handgun model, hooked into her bikini on the back. She got a few more splashes into her lanky neighbour's chest before she let him catch her, entrapping her to the side of the pool. Her stomach muscles hurt from laughing so hard, she simply curled into Sheldon's embrace, tears of laughter filling her eyes.

"Ooooh my god, this is

so

much fun!" She barely caught her breath.

Much to her surprise, Sheldon wasn't having any. He swiftly scooped her by the legs and shoulders, lifted her off her feet and tossed her over the side into the pool.

Penny shrieked, splashing into the water in the next moment. She shot up, dying of laughter. Sheldon waited by the side, leaning over the edge.

"Never play with forces beyond your ken, Penny!" Sheldon teased her.

She couldn't stay in debt. She slowly walked from the center of the pool, her hands glided across her head, running her hair backwards. She was closing like a lioness to bait him closer for a hug.

"You got me, sweetie. How 'bout a hug?" She looked at him with her puppy eyes, letting down his guard. She hugged him firmly and pushed off the side of the pool with her legs the next moment. Enough to pull him in over the rubber edge.

"Penny!" Sheldon shrieked before they both splashed together under water for a few seconds. They held and looked at each other through the bubbles right on the bottom, before standing up again. Ignoring the laughter above. Both feeling completely safe in their embrace. They slowly let go of their hug when they ran out of breath.

This was the first time they both sincerely laughed and had a good time together. She never saw him laughing before. She knew his sarcastic snores and his fake kill-batman smile but only now she noticed his most human and honest smile.

Penny splashed more water into him to break an awkward moment, chuckling again. They locked and held each other's hands, trying to topple each other down. Play-wrestling, they fell together towards the middle of the pool. Their faces came very close to each other. They could only hide from the others when they both sat on the bottom, behind the side closest to them. That's where she pecked his cheek for the first time.

She pushed herself towards the center, they both came up for air at the same time, but apart to not draw any futhers looks. Penny knew Leonard could get jealous after seeing her kissing Sheldon and ruin the whole thing. Even though things didn't go much further after their first kiss, Leonard was still hopeful to woo her.

Both soon climbed out of the pool, which was another show for the three outside. Her soaked body dripping with water looked even better than before. Her wet bikini became a bit of a see-through, when it stuck on her curves. Droplets dripping off her cameltoe down onto her thighs, it wasn't just the sun raising the summer temperature at this point...

Penny laid back on her lounger face down, allowing the sun to dry her body. Sheldon dried with his towel and grabbed a bottle of non-alcohol beer from the fridge. Water evaporated off them within minutes.

"Could someone please put this on my back?" She waved the bottle of her sunscreen at the crowd, like teasing a bunch of starwing puppies with a piece of meat.

Three guys instantly shot up. Leonard hit his head on the umbrella struts and Howard pushed Raj back into his seat. Sheldon could not be more amused how mindlessly obedient his three friends were around her. He chuckled and turned another page of his comic book.

Howard shot up to her and kneeled on the sand beside her. His eyes were naturally drawn to her heavenly sculpted ass and smooth toned legs laying right in front of him.

"Howard?" Penny felt a bit awkward with him so close. His attitude towards her did improve over time. Mainly by holding his remarks for himself, which was slowly gaining her trust back.

He could smell that intoxicating summer seawater scent, emanating from the blonde.

"Penny. Allow me to say you look

particularly

beautiful today." Howard tried his low voice flirt with her, which surprisingly wasn't as creepy as his first attempts.

"Thanks... But remember, just a rub." She warned him subtly.

"Relax, I do this for my mom all the time." He extended his hand, waiting for the bottle. She hesitantly handed it over and turned her head back down.

He was so excited for the opportunity, not wanting to mess it up. This was the closest he ever got to her incredibly gorgeous body.

She was a regular in his mind and dreams ever since they met in Sheldon's apartment with her wrapped in nothing but a blue towel.

Howard squeezed a few drops on his shaky palm and gently rubbed it across her upper back, between her neck and lower bikini string. Her skin felt just like he imagined it would. Hot, smooth, silky, flawless, taut. His motions became wider over time.

"All good so far?" Howard broke the silence, working on her arms and shoulders.

"All good, Howard. It does feel nice." Penny chuckled and relaxed under his touch.

He eventually crossed the edge, getting some of the lotion over the red fabric.

"Hold up. You're getting it all over my bikini."

"Oh! I'm so sorry..." Howard was awakened from his daydreams, hurried to apologize. He was quickly silenced by observing her hands coming up onto her back.

"It's ok, sweetie." Penny giggled. She could feel in his shaky voice how nervous he was right now.

He watched her pull on her bikini tie, undoing the knot on her back. Penny pulled the strings to the side, out of the way. As if this wasn't enough, she reached up and undid the one on the back of her neck as well, now laying topless on her belly in front of him. Only a little piece barely covered her bottom, which made her look even sexier than with nothing on.

"There..." Penny leaned her head back onto her crossed forearms.

Upon this sight, Howard felt like he had a heat stroke or his blood boiling up.

"Oh my god..." He instantly squeezed the plastic bottle, hard. He inadvertently squirted a few lines of thick white cream all across her back, not paying attention when to stop.

"Howard! How much did you pour it on me?" Penny snapped him out of his daydreams again.

"I'm so sorry, Penny! Damn, I didn't expect to come this much..." Howard burbled out, not realizing how that sounded to her.

"This better be suncream on my back or I'll..."

"I swear, it

is

a suncream, I'd never want to put anything else on..." Howard stuttered in embarrassment, barely speaking at this point. He felt so embarrassed wanting to sink in the ground.

This made the blonde chuckle, a slight relief. She turned her head sideways and gazed at his tenting swim shorts. "Never, huh? Just... rub it in, ok?" She tried to defuse this awkward moment for him and leaned back.

"Ok, ok, ok..." Howard nodded so fast and excited it almost popped his head off the neck.

Their three friends chuckled at the sight in front of them, with two of them feeling a little jealous. Despite Howard messing it up, he was now the one rubbing the cream into Penny's hot, soft skin. Side view into her revealed body also caused some unwanted reactions. His hands were slowly becoming less tense, finally becoming to feel good to her. This was turning more into a sensual massage than simply applying sun block.

Howard finally got into it, he knew he could do this right. All the times he had to suffer through massaging his mother, were finally paying off. Penny's skin felt smooth like silk, as he was kneading and rubbing it, now going over her arms again.

"Mmm..." Penny let out a moan when Howard circled around her shoulders and neck a few times, with a proper pressure and motions. He dragged his hands down across her back, then rubbed from the center of her back to the outside over the sides, fingers getting closer and closer to her boobs on each pass. He lingered lower, pressing with his thumbs into the small of her back.

Her bikini piece served as a red line which he dared to not cross under any circumstances. He was already at wit's end. Boiling under the heat of summer sun and pressure of kneading and massaging his best friends' supermodel neighbour...

"Mmmm, so good..." Penny cooed. "You can rub my legs as well, if you want..." She moaned, spreading her legs a little. It was still enough for him to catch a glimpse which almost popped out his eyes again. A little patch of moist took shape on her red bikini piece covering her mound.

This was too much for him to handle. He was already shaking from his wild heartbeat and burning with heat and desire.

"I'll... call Raj to do you... Rub you! Put this stuff on your legs..." Howard couldn't take it anymore. He rushed away and threw himself into the pool.

"Great... Raj? You're up." Penny looked at her next masseur.

As requested, Raj came over to her heavenly body glistering under the sun. He already had a beer, so talking to her won't be a problem for now. Howard didn't spare the cream on her, not surprisingly.

"Ok, Penny. What do you need me to do, exactly?"

"One rubdown of my legs, please. Howard couldn't get it done, for some reason..." Penny handed the bottle over.

"Huuh, yeah, I can see why he might have... a.. problem..." Raj was losing his words, checking out the area which Howard didn't finish. He just got granted access to everything below her bikini. He was always much more of a gentleman around Penny, compared to Howard. His selective mutism did help to save him on a few occasions, since he craved her just like two of his friends. Not always being able to say what was on his mind was certainly in his advantage.
