Batgirl's Alien Experience
The airfield was small, dark, and shocking to Batgirl not well guarded. It hadn't been hard to search the files for where Scarecrow's Daughter was sending her last batches of gas, but Batgirl had rushed on the assumption that the villain was moving faster after losing Poison Ivy. In fact of the three thugs only the third had managed to draw his pistol and get a shot off at her. Batgirl tumbled out of the way into the open hangar. Bouncing to her feet she pulled a small device from her belt and shut her eyes.
When Batgirl heard the thug come around the door she pressed a button. A million candle power of white light flashed into the man's eyes. Blinded he let out a curse. Batgirl opened her eyes and slammed her fist into his Adam's apple. The man collapsed and she kicked the gun out of reach before tying his hands.
Lights clicked on in the hangar. Three large drones with attachments for spraying pesticide stood ready for flight. Batgirl saw space for nine.
Above her a loudspeaker crackled to life and a harsh feminine voice declared, "I don't know what you're doing in Las Vegas Batgirl, but you're too late to stop me."
"I'll stop you Scarecrow's Daughter," replied the Dominoed Dare-doll as she threw razor sharp shuriken into the front tires of the drones.
"Too late." The villainess declared over the speakers. "Two of my drones are already streaking towards Nellis Airforce Base to create a diversion. The other four will disrupt Fremont Street to cover the largest casino heist in history. And you are stuck in the desert with no way to stop them."
Batgirl smiled and opened a panel on the first drone. "Did you ladies hear that? Nellis Airforce Base and Fremont Street. Keep the gas from dispersing."
Over her ear piece came the lilting voice of the alien heroine Starfire. "I have Nellis."
"I can see the four flying for downtown," said the Maid of Might, Supergirl, over the same channel.
"What are you doing?" Demanded Scarecrow's Daughter.
"It's called having friends." Batgirl smiled. "Ladies make sure no one is exposed to the gas and I'll meet you at the rendezvous."
"I'll get you for this, Batgirl."
"You'll try." Batgirl began work disarming the second drone.
Starfire was in the rooftop pool by the time Batgirl got through traffic to the tower condo. As usual the orange skinned alien had decided to swim in the nude. The water plastered her curly dark orange hair to her muscular back. Batgirl paused to admire the other woman's legs and d-cup breasts.
"Thank you for coming," Batgirl announced as she stepped out of the shadows.
Starfire turned and smiled with her vivid emerald eyes. "You asked me."
The vigilante's mouth quirked into a smile. Starfire almost impossible not to like. She was bubbly, open, occasionally naive, sometimes simple, but never stupid. The fact that she was a six foot tall knock-out who preferred not to wear clothes helped too.
"That didn't mean you had to come." Tired Batgirl sunk onto a deck chair.
"But I wanted to."
"Thank you anyway." Batgirl frowned. "Supergirl isn't back yet."
Starfire nodded. "And nothing happened to anyone on Fremont Street."
"I hope so."
