"AUUGH!" A red-headed, ponytailed woman cried out, knocking several scrolls and writing implements onto the floor. A concerned, bespectacled individual stood a few feet away, indecisive but reaching a hand out.
"Eda!" They cried out, taking a step forward, then hesitating. "Is this...the curse?"
Eda Clawthorne twisted and thrashed, falling back into a tall, leather armchair, breathing heavily whenever she wasn't gritting her teeth. She didn't really want to involve Raine in this, but with the feathers growing on her arm and her eyes blackening, there wasn't much she could do to hide it. The two of them were alone in the Owl House, and it wasn't as if anyone else was around to see.
"Yeah..." She admitted, the shame of it causing her to avoid her partner's gaze. "I knew I was running out of elixirs, but the damned potion shop told me that I had placed another order too soon...and then they told me that Monday was too short notice!" Eda grunted and winced, her heart pounding and her skin feeling like it was boiling. She had told Raine about the curse, but she had always downplayed it, told them it was something she could manage. "Listen, Raine, you need to leave. It's not safe for you to be here."
Raine frowned, their expression pained and afraid, but more for Eda than themself. They bowed their head, their glasses catching the light of the room and rendering their emotional state unreadable.
"...Eda, do you mind if I try something?"
Eda looked perplexed even as her already long, pale white ears began to grow longer. "Raine, what are you talking about, you need to go--"
But she was cut off when Raine leaned in and kissed her on the lips. Her eyes went wide for a moment and then closed peacefully, losing herself in the sensation of her partner's lips.
When they pulled back, Eda stared at them in bewilderment, not unhappy but very much unsure of what was going on. It may have been coincidence, but in that moment it also seemed like the feathers had paused their growth, or that they started to grow a little slower.
Raine smiled bashfully; there was a wistful twinge to the expression that hurt Eda to see, just a little.
"Please," They said again. "I think maybe I can help, but...you have to trust me."
"Okay," Eda replied, her face taking on a somber quality. "I trust you."
Raine leaned back in and kissed her one more time. They lingered there for a moment, then withdrew, moving their lips down to press against her neck. Eda murmured softly, feeling Raine's lips then press gently over her collarbone. Sinking to the floor at the foot of the red backed, bronze armchair, Raine grabbed the hem of her scarlet dress and lifted it slowly up and over her legs.
Eda stared down at her partner, the person she had been dating for a few years now but who she had known for most of her life. Her heart's frantic pace began to slow, and as she breathed, she felt herself relaxing just a little.
Raine lifted the velvety red dress over Eda's hips, over her waist, all the way up to just above the long-eared woman's shoulders. Then they reached around behind Eda's slender chest and unhooked her bra, which was the same fiery red-orange as her hair. Slipping it free from behind her back, Raine glanced back up at Eda, who was staring back at them. They leaned forward and closed their lips around one small pink nub, pressing their mouth softly against Eda's pale breast.
"Mmm." Eda closed her eyes and ran a hand over the back of Raine's short, aquamarine hair.
Raine drew back ever so slightly and ran their tongue over the center of Eda's breast, waxing her areola and her nipple in the process.
"Mmmmmmm," Eda murmured, louder.
Raine's face was relaxed, their eyes closed behind circular glass as they continued to lick at their partner's teat, slowly, calmly, evenly; it was not so slow as to be teasing, but neither was it unnecessarily rushed. After a few more steady licks, they moved their head over and kissed Eda's other breast. It was followed by a similar treatment, Raine licking her other nipple unhurriedly.
"Oh Raine..." Eda breathed. As close as they were to her chest, Raine could easily tell that their girlfriend's breathing was slowing. They took a moment to lift the rest of Eda's dress over her head and drape it over an arm of the chair.
They moved back to Eda's other breast, and this time a hand remained where their lips and tongue had been, delicately rubbing one nub while they kissed the other tenderly, pushing against her bosom and stretching their lips around it as far as they would go. They sucked at it gently, tugging at the stiffening nipple with their lips and releasing it. They used their other hand to caress the sloping side of the breast they were attending to, then used both hands to cradle it, sucking the nub lovingly. It was at this point that Eda noticed that the feathers on her arms were beginning to recede, and her eyes widened in shock.
"Woah, what the heck--?" She exclaimed.
Raine glanced over at Eda's arm and observed the phenomenon for themself. "It seems as if your emotional state has at least something to do with your transformations...I guess I had sort of a hunch about this."
Eda looked back at her partner.
