Kelsea Ballerini was starting to feel lonely again. She was still out on the road, performing multiple shows a week, while flying to LA when she was needed to film episodes of The Voice. Her boyfriend. Chase Stokes, had finally finished filming his latest movie and had joined her for a few dates on the tour and she felt like their relationship had really turned a corner.
She hadn't told him about the little fling she had had with a member of her team from The Voice, a country rock singer named Gunnar Hooper. She did feel bad for stepping out on Chase, but didn't regret it. Since Gunnar had left the show, Kelsea was happy to see that Gunnar didn't quit on his music and was actively out touring.
Kelsea was currently laying down in her tour bus, having just finished a show in St. Louis and was waiting for the crew to finish everything up before they started the nearly six hour drive to Tulsa, Oklahoma, the location of her next show. As she scrolled through Instagram, a post from Gunnar playing a show popped up and she turned on the sound to listen to him playing one of his original songs. At the end of the video, Gunnar posted his up-coming tour dates and she realized that they would both be in Oklahoma at the same time.
As she felt her bus beginning to move, pulling out of the arena she had just played, Kelsea opened up the maps app on her phone and typed in the location of Gunnar's show from that night and where he was playing next. She smiled as she saw that his route would take him right through Tulsa and before she knew it, she was typing out a text to him, inviting him to her show the next night.
Kelsea fell asleep a short time later, being comforted by the moving bus and the memories of her last time with Gunnar filling her mind. Unknown to her as she slept, Gunnar was awake, also on the road, and typing out a return message to Kelsea, telling her he would meet her at the arena and was excited to see her again.
The next day at the arena in Tulsa, Kelsea was bouncing from place to place, doing a radio interview here, a meet and greet there, a sound check after the stage was set up, and trying to find a few moments to herself, something she always tried to do, but really struggled with. She had finally found some time to sit down, free of any obligations, and called Chase to talk to him.
Sitting on a case that once held some equipment in the back of the arena, Kelsea had her long blonde hair pulled up into a ponytail, sitting high on top of her head, and was wearing a very simple T-shirt and a pair of jeans. She was leaning back on the case, watching the crew running around, checking on all the last second details needed for the concert, when she spotted Gunnar, talking to somebody he must have known previously.
Tall and incredibly good looking, Gunnar had a killer smile that made Kelsea's stomach jump when he spotted her and waved. She quickly told Chase that she was being summoned and hung up her phone, jumping off the equipment case and walking towards Gunnar as he made his way to her. Once there, she wrapped her arms around his neck and he put his arms around her waist, pulling each other in for a hug. As she felt his hands on her back, she once again remembered what they could do to her.
"Gunnar, its so good to see you again. Thanks for coming!" Kelsea said as they hugged.
"Thanks for the invite. No way I could ever say no to you. Its crazy to see the backstage of a star's show," he said as they ended the hug.
Kelsea giggled and said, "I don't know about being a star but it's certainly insane and I still can't believe its been happening."
"Oh, whatever," Gunnar said. "You've been out here killing it! I actually caught your show about a month ago in Seattle. It was amazing. I'm excited to watch it again."
"Really? Why didn't you reach out and say you were there? It would have been great to see you!" Kelsea said as they started to walk around.
"I know. I definitely thought about it. But, I was on a date and didn't want to appear to be rude, texting another woman," he said.
Kelsea felt her heart sink a little as he mentioned being on a date, which she thought was ridiculous. She was happy with Chase and Gunnar had every right to date anybody he wanted to. But, she did start to question just why she had invited him. "Oh yeah? A date? I would have loved to meet her," she said as she led him to the catering arena.
Gunnar picked up a couple of plates and handed one to Kelsea as he laughed and said, "She would have loved that but didn't deserve it."
"Really? Wasn't a good date?" Kelsea asked, putting some food on her plate.
"Let's just say that I wrote a song called Wrong Kind of Woman about her afterwards," Gunnar said.
"Wow. Should have ditched her and just came and hung out backstage," Kelsea laughed as they went and found a table to sit and eat at.
After they were done eating and doing some more catching up, Kelsea passed Gunnar off to somebody on the road crew to show him where he could watch the show from. Kelsea went into her dressing room to put on her first outfit of the night. As she pulled on the multi-colored sequined mini dress, the purple, pink, and red sequins shimmered in the light. After putting on a pair of fishnets stockings, she admired herself in the full length mirror set up in the dressing room.
She adjusted the scooped neckline of the dress, making sure she was well tucked into it. Kelsea knew that she had a hot body, one that attracted the attention of many men and women, and she loved to show it off, but she didn't want to have any accidents happen, like what happened to her friend, Maren Morris. Maren wasn't wearing underwear while performing a set in a skirt with a deep cut in it, and flashed everybody her pussy.
Kelsea did a few different poses in the mirror, bending over different ways, making sure everything was covered. Although she had on a small pink thong that matched pretty well with the dress, she still would rather not show it to anybody. Except maybe Gunnar...
As her opening acts performed, Kelsea walked through a different dressing room, this one right off the stage. She would change outfits multiple times throughout the show and always made sure they were all properly lined out before hand, to prevent mistakes from happening. As her stylish went over everything with her, Kelsea spied Gunnar off to the side, watching the opening act, and she felt a pang in her stomach for him.
