It has been just over a month since you surprised me in my halls at uni. It's now the Easter break, and as per your request, I'm coming to stay for a few nights to meet your family. And this is where things take off.
The farm lane scythes its way through the Berkshire countryside, then home straight to your parents' farm. I've been driving for just over two and a half hours, as I was caught in traffic and road works on the M25 and M4, making my way from Islington, North London. For this trip I'm borrowing my mum's Peugeot 207, as I sold my Vauxhall Corsa in order to go to university in the first place.
Finally I arrive at your front door. I turn off the engine, take my holdall from the front passenger seat and open the car door. No sooner have I got out of the car and you're running over to me, taking me into a warm embrace, kissing me passionately. Your tongue exploring my mouth, I feel like I'm in heaven. Then I hear a man clearing his throat; looking up, I see your father. His bald, 6 feet 6 inch frame towers over me and he's twice the size of me brawn-wise. Clearly he is a man whom I do not want to piss off. And I've already made out with his daughter in front of him.
"N... Nice to meet you sir. I'm J..." I say nervously, holding out my hand to your father.
"Aye. James. My little Alex told us all about you." He interrupts gruffly, taking my hand in a firm, brief handshake.
Thankfully you come to my aid, taking my hand and leading me into the house.
"Don't worry about him, James," you say to me, reassuringly. "Once he's used to you, he'll be happy as Larry. I've never brought a boyfriend home before."
"Y... You sure Alex? He seemed a touch pissed to me," I reply, looking back over my shoulder.
"You'll be fine!" You laugh. "You'll be sleeping in my room with me, lover boy."
You lead me to your room, where I ditch my things at the foot of your bed. Taking my phone from my pocket, I make a quick phone call home, to let my folks know I got there safely. Hanging up the phone, I make my way back downstairs, where you are waiting at the foot of stairs for me.
"I was just about to get you, dinners ready," you say.
"Oh, fantastic!" I eagerly reply. "I've not eaten since I left home, been regretting that for the last ten miles."
"Well then its perfect timing." You laugh, leading me to the kitchen. Once again, I come face to face with your father. Who, thankfully, is looking a lot calmer than when we first met.
"This is my dad, Ian," you say, then gesturing to a middle aged woman setting the table, "This is my mum, Leanne."
Your mother stands to greet me; she's identical to you. Maybe a bit shorter, but not by much.
"Nice to meet you Leanne," I say giving her a quick hug and kiss on the cheek. "I can see where Alex got her good looks from."
"Oh thank you, James," your mum replies blushing slightly. "It's nice to see our Alex has found herself a charming young man."
