My eyes scan the packed meeting room, every seat is taken and people are standing practically shoulder to shoulder against the wall. My eyes catch on my friend Ryan, he half jokingly pats his lap. I take a final look around and surrender, making sure to hold my pencil skirt as I sit over one of Ryan's legs. He lets out an amused snicker and I get as comfortable as I can for this mandatory meeting.
"Don't get any bright ideas mister," I hiss under my breathe.
"Me? Never?" He declares innocence as our bosses walk in.
Savanna shoots me a puzzled look before looking around the room and looks to soften.
"I'm happy to see everyone here, thank you for coming. Ill try to make this quick for all of us." Tony began before continuing his monologue about this months revenues, stories, and new plans.
I shift on Ryan's leg trying to get comfortable in a sneaky manner but unsuccessful. Ryans moves his other leg close under me. With a second nudge I take it and sit sideways on his lap, using the table behind me for support too. I playfully move my legs a little farther up and Ryan greets me by a casual arm over my bare legs as we focus on the meeting, not hearing a word. After a long half an hour, Tony and Savanna, leave the room and it erupts in gentle chatter.
My other friend Sam standing next to us finally chiming up, "so Emily how are you going to enjoy this weekend?"
"Uh, not too sure haven't decided." I shift on Ryan's lap and feel his hard bulge under my leg, his hand tightens around my knee. "I think I'm probably just going to stay home and enjoy my night, you?"
"Ugh Bobby invited me out to the bars again but I really don't want to see him, you know? I'm still kind of mad at him from last time. My dad has chores for on Saturday like always which I also don't want to do but whatever, I don't get to choose my life I guess." People around us start to file out. "Alright well have a good weekend Emily, Ryan. See you guys on Monday!"
Sam falls in with everyone else and I gingerly rise from Ryan's lap now that the room is more clear.
"What are you doing tonight Ryan?" I turn and ask seeing Ryan still sitting.
"Oh, just the usual. Enjoy my empty place alone with my cats," he says causally.
"Sounds great!" I look around and see we are alone. I look back at Ryan only to watch as his eyes travel slowly up my body before our eyes connect. "You hungry? I could go for some good food before I head home," I offer.
"Yeah I can definitely eat," Ryan stands while talking and looks down towards me. "Where do you want to go?"
"Wherever you suggest, I still haven't explored the food a whole lot in this city." I confess and lead us out of the meeting room as we decide on food.
Ryan holds the door into the garage open for me, "so yeah I haven't been there in a while but I know the food is really good. I used to hang out at the bar all the time when I was younger. Do you want to ride with me?" He asks as I slip past him.
"That sounds great to me. I just really want a good drink and food, especially after that meeting," I chuckle.
"Oh yeah? Why's that?" He asks as he holds the passenger door open now.
His aura a little different than usual, commanding me into his car. Our eyes meet and his darken as his pupils widen. My heart races and he shuts the door on me, joing me shortly.
"Oh no real reason," I manage. "Just the usual end the week drinks are needed. Don't you need a little something after listening to Tony for half an hour?"
"I can think of a few things I need after listening to him," Ryan sighs.
We let the car ride to the bar fill with music and small talk about work and what upcoming projects that are assigned to us. Ryan finds us a parking spot on the main road.
"Wait," his demand sends a chill down my spine leaving me in place. He opens my door and smiles sweetly as I step out. "The bar is just down the street."
We start walking to the bar and I glance over at Ryan. He's tall, well dressed, salt and pepper curly hair and beard, the silver fox of the office. Yet despite being over a decade younger we became friends at the office. We usually end up on projects together and I hang outside on break with him and the other smokers. We've never hung out outside of work alone together and with us dressed up from work I can't help but wonder if some people might think it's a date. I could use a sugar daddy.
The thought shatters as Ryan holds the bar door open and the noise inside cascades out. I step in before letting Ryan lead us in farther. I follow him to the only two open seat at the bar top.
"Is this okay?" Ryan asks leaning in closer than necessary.
"Of course," I reply as I slide into the seat, sliding a little closer to Ryan after he sits.
"Your usual?" I nod and he flags down the bar tender. "Two jack and cokes, we'll get food in a minute." His attention back to me, "I don't think there's a bad thing on this menu considering its bar food."
"Great, I'll just get something small and snack at home if I need to. How's their cheese curds?"
"The squeakiest," he tells me with a big smile and I laugh.
"Sounds perfect."
The bartender comes back so we order our food and I take a few sips of my drink. I turn a little to Ryan to find him looking at me willfully. I take an extra long sip of my drink.
"So, thanks for the seat at the meeting," I chuckle.
"Oh it was my pleasure. You can use me as a seat anytime you need," he reassures.
"I'll definitely keep that in mind." I cross my legs so I face him better and he looks down.
"I love your legs-leg tattoos. Any fun stories about them? Your knee is pretty gnarly."
