The Tutor pt. 3
Gabriel and Lina had worked out a schedule for him to tutor Lina's twin sister, and today was the first day. After his class, he headed straight over to Lina's house. It had been too long since he'd been there, so he wasn't sure what it would be like to be thrown back into her family's life. As he was grabbing some notes and things he might need for tutoring, he met up with Lina.
"Is there anything I need specifically? Are you going to be there?"
Lina smiled. "You're cute, all flustered for your first day of tutoring. No, you have all your notes. It's been a while since she's seen you so don't worry about it too much. "Thank you," said Gabriel timidly. "I'm pleased to meet you again."
Lina's mother stepped back and said, "Come in, please come in. How many years has it been since I last saw you?"
Gabriel entered the home and took off his shoes so he wouldn't track in any dirt. He remembered when he was a kid, he was always asked to take off his shoes before entering. He looked around and remembered some of the pictures and furnishings.
"More than I can remember," he said.
"In case you don't remember, my name is Luna."
"It's been a long time, but I haven't forgotten any of you."
"That's good to know. Please have a seat. It shouldn't be long before Leah arrives."
