Kallie stepped into the room quietly hoping to not wake Alex. She heard him stir as she closed the door.
"Hey there," he said softly. His voice clearly showing he still was not feeling one hundred percent.
"How ya feeling hun?" she asked as she sat on the edge of the bed, resting a hand on his leg.
"I can still feel this thing rocking. But I feel better than I did" he said with a little grin.
"I hope you feel better tomorrow, I'd really hate for you to feel this way the rest of the trip," she said as she bent down and kissed his cheek. "You get some rest, I'm going to jump in the shower," she whispered as she stood.
Kallie slipped out of her dress and grabbed her pj's before walking into the bathroom. She stood under the shower letting the hot water run over her thinking only of Carter, wondering what it would be like to have him there with her. She stepped from the shower and toweled of. As she slipped the pink satin nighty on she caught her image in the mirror. Something about her looked different. A certain glow or something. She wasn't sure what it was, but she couldn't help but smile.
She started to brush through her hair and stepped from the bathroom. She heard Alex breathing deeply, just short of snoring and knew she was nowhere near being able to fall asleep so she quietly walked through the cabin, setting the brush on the little table before stepping to the sliding door and onto the veranda. The feel and smell of the ocean breeze was invigorating as she stepped to the railing. Her eyes were instantly drawn to the bright moon and the light it cast on the waves. She closed her eyes imagining Carter standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her, her head leaning back into his chest
She smiled as she heard his voice whisper that it was a beautiful night...

Carter closed the door and heard Jess stir lightly in the bed. He stepped into the bathroom for a quick shower before heading to bed. As the water hit him, his mind instantly went to Kallie, wondering what she was doing, was she in the shower also. He wondered too what it would be like to have her there with him. He quickly shook the thought from his head and finished his shower. He toweled off and wrapped the towel around his waist before combing through his hair. He looked in the mirror and shook his head as he realized there were a couple more grey hairs. He hoped it didn't matter to Kallie like he had told him in their chats.
He stepped from the room and soon realized Jess was sound asleep. He slipped on his lounge pants, sat in one of the chairs by the door to the veranda looking out at the moon for a few seconds before opening the door as quietly as possible, and stepped out. He was leaning on the railing listening to and watching the wake of the boat, thinking about how the trip had changed so much in the last few hours. Kallie surprising him by getting her and Alex on the boat was amazing.
He lifted his head and looked at the moon before slowly turning to look in the direction of Kallies room, again wondering what she was doing and amazed that she was only those few feet away from him instead of all those miles. He looked back at the moon and when he looked back to her veranda he saw her delicate fingers resting on the railing. He chuckled softly before leaning out over the railing and saying "beautiful night isn't it."

Kallies eyes snapped open when she realized his voice wasn't just in her head. She peaked around the divider on her veranda and smiled when she saw him leaning over the railing looking at her.
"Hey you," she said, her smile broadening as she rested her elbows on the railing.
"I was just thinking about you," he replied, slowly extending his hand, reaching for her.
"You were? I was thinking about you too," she said extending her hand toward his. They sighed at the same time knowing they could not reach each other. She noticed a slight change in the look on his face and soon realized the strap of her nighty had slipped from her shoulder. The realization made her blush at first, then a thought.
"We do have all week," she said as she pulled her hand back. "We really should get to bed."
"You're right," was Carters simple reply before blowing her a kiss.
Kallies reply to the kiss was different than Carter thought it would be. With her eyes locked on his, she slowly pulled the strap down a little further until she could feel the ocean breeze on her bare nipple, hardening it.
"A little something for you to dream about," she said with a wink before then blowing him a kiss and turning to the door, stepping inside with a soft giggle.
Carter stood unable to move, blinking at the empty space where Kallie had just flashed him. He shook his head with a chuckle and turned to the door.

Carter woke the next morning wondering if it had all been a dream. He glanced over and saw Jess still sound asleep so he gently slipped from the bed. He took his jacket from the hook he had hung it on the night before and instantly knew it wasn't all a dream. Kallie was on the boat. He took the coat and sprayed a little of his cologne on it to hide the over powering scent of her perfume before hanging it in the closet. As he closed the door her heard Jess stirring in bed and looked over at her with a smile.
"Good morning hun," he said as he walked to the bed. He bent down and kissed her on the cheek, feeling a little bad knowing what was going on in his head, but also knowing he had to keep up appearances as it were.
"Good morning. What time did you get in? I didn't hear a thing," Jess said as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"It wasn't too late, around mid-night I think. Kallie and I sat and talked for a little while. She had a ton of questions about cruising and what to expect", Carter replied, continuing to put his clothes away and find his shorts for their first day at sea.
Since it was simply that, a day at sea, most of it would probably be spent pool side so he found a pair of swim trunks "Are you getting up?" he asked Jess as he slipped them on with a t-shirt. "I'm hungry, I want some breakfast," he said as he turned to watch her stretch as she stood from the bed.
"I want to take a shower and do my hair. How about you go down and I'll meet you by the pool. Save me a seat" Jess said as she walked past him headed for the shower, stopping briefly to give him a kiss.
Carter just shook his head as Jess closed bathroom door. Why did it not surprise him she was behind her self-imposed schedule? Oh well, her loss, he thought as he headed out the door.

Kallie woke the next morning and found the bed next to her empty. She noticed the bathroom door was closed and she hoped Alex wasn't still battling the motion sickness. Once she woke up more she noticed she could hear the shower running. She knew that was a good sign. She knew he would not be in the shower if he were still sick. She rolled over and smiled, both at the thought of him feeling better, and at the memory of the night before. She giggled lightly as she swung her feet from the bed and stood, walked to the sliding door and opened it. The smell of the ocean breeze wafted over her and she imagined this being as close to paradise as she could get. She stepped onto the veranda and leaned over the railing slightly, looking towards Carter and Jess's veranda, half hoping he would be there, half glad he wasn't.
"Hey babe," she heard from behind her and turned seeing Alex walking across the room. "You look amazing with the sun behind you like that," he said as he leaned on the doorframe.
"Glad to see you feel better," Kallie said as she walked towards him, kissing him lightly as she walked past. "It's my turn in the bathroom. Stop that!" she said to him with a giggle as he patted her on the ass as she walked by.
