Author's note: Also er, sorry about the erotic scenes, I'm still new to this type of writing, but I'm still working on it. I promise! I hope y'all enjoy the dialogue though :D. Also, if you want, let me know if you would prefer the characters to be more fleshed out or would rather just have more erotic scenes. I'll keep it in mind.
Part 5. Afterglow
They lay there in each other's arms, breathing softly, enjoying the silence when Jason's phone alarm beeped. "Ah, I gotta get to class." he said, reluctantly letting go of Sophie and getting up to get dressed. He pulled on some jeans and threw on a t-shirt.
Sophie sighed and got up as well. "Yeah, I have to get to my Intro to Psych class and then Stats."
She looked down at her lingerie and sighed. "Guess I'll have to change again."
He nodded. "Yup, I've heard that one before. Do you do laundry everyday Soph, I'm pretty sure you've gone through an entire wardrobe in the last two hours."
He slung his backpack over his shoulder.
Sophie huffed. "Some of us have more than two outfits in our wardrobe."
He laughed then gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Alright, I'll see you later."
He gave her one last look. "Damn gurl, you look good." Then he was out the door.
Sophie flushed with pleasure at his words before going to change.
Later, at her psychology class, she could barely sit still with the butterflies in her stomach. The professor droned on about cognition and perception, but she could barely pay attention. She kept thinking back to how Jason looked, his broad shoulders and chest. The way his arms had wrapped around her, enveloping her in a protective cocoon. Her Stats class was even worse. She sat there twirling her pencil just counting the minutes before class was over and her Friday could officially begin. This was a new chapter in her life and she was determined to make the most of it.
Part 6. Gamer's Folly
Sophie pranced up the stairs to the apartment and unlocked the door feeling giddy with excitement. "Jason?" she called looking around for him. She noticed his door was slightly ajar. She knocked on it before pushing it open.
Jason was sitting on the bed looking down at his phone. "Sup."
"Jason," she began, her tone light but insistent. "There's a fun event happening at the park tonight—music, food trucks, maybe some dancing. Let's go."
Jason looked up briefly and then returned to his phone. "Can't."
Her brow furrowed. "Can't? Why not?"
"I have plans," he said casually, but his tone lacked conviction.
Sophie's face fell, her shoulders sinking slightly. She tried to keep her voice neutral, but she felt a little hurt that he hadn't invited her to whatever he was doing. "Oh... okay. Guess I'll just head over by myself then." She turned to grab her jacket but paused, her eyes narrowing at a suspicious movement near Jason's foot.
"What's that?" she asked, pointing to the floor.
"Nothing," Jason said a little too quickly, shifting his leg.
Her eyes lit up with curiosity as she darted forward. "Jason... what are you hiding?" Before he could react, Sophie bent down and pulled out a pristine, unopened PS5 Pro box from beside the bed. She straightened up, holding the box like a trophy, her mouth agape.
"Seriously?!" she exclaimed, glaring at him. "Your big plans are playing video games for four hours?"
Jason rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, a crooked smile forming on his face. "It's not just any video game night—it's a PS5 night. I just got this, Soph. You can't expect me to leave it unopened."
Sophie rolled her eyes, tossing the box gently onto his bed. "Unbelievable. You're skipping an awesome night out for... this?" She gestured dramatically at the console.
"Hey, it's not just 'this.' It's the PS5 Pro. It's a masterpiece of modern engineering," he said, cradling the box protectively. "You don't understand the gravity of this moment."
Sophie rolled her eyes and stepped closer, her hands on her hips. "Nope, not happening. You are not spending Friday night glued to a screen by yourself."
Jason grinned. "Are you offering to join?" He held up a second controller enticingly.
She glowered at him.
Jason groaned dramatically. "Aww come on! I just got it. Don't make me wait."
Without warning, she grabbed him by the collar of his t-shirt and pulled him upright. Jason staggered to his feet, his hands flailing as he tried to keep his balance.
"No," she said firmly, her eyes blazing with determination. "You're not sitting by yourself playing video games on a Friday night."
He whined, dragging his feet as she started pulling him toward the door. "Pleaseee, Sophie! I was just about to open it. It's calling to me!"
"Tough luck," she shot back, not breaking stride. "You're coming with me, big boy."
"Don't you have some dishes to wash?" he whined then cowered at the glare she sent him.
"Excuse me?" She let go of his collar and stood there with her hands on her hips, though her lips twitched upwards.
"Okay, okay!" He put his hands up in mock surrender. "Women." He said under his breath, shaking his head.
She raised an eyebrow. "What was that?"
"Erhm, I said you look really good in that outfit sweetie." He said, giving her an exaggerated smile.
She laughed then gently nudged him out the door. "Come on, you big baby. It'll be fun! I promise."
She gave him a swat on the ass and then getting on her tiptoes she whispered in his ear in a sultry voice. "If you behave, you might even get a little reward."
He perked up. "Alright, where was that event again?"
She laughed, amused but also pleased at his sudden eagerness. "It's near North Campus past the Riverwalk."
"Alright let's go." He picked her up and slung her over his shoulder for the second time that day.
"Hey!" She protested giggling, but also aroused at how easily he handled her. "Put me down! I can walk, you know?"
He carried her down the steps.
Part 7. Friday Night Excitement
By the time they arrived at the park, Jason had put her down and was laughing along with Sophie. The lively atmosphere was infectious, with string lights draped between trees and upbeat music playing from nearby speakers. Groups of students were scattered across the open field, some dancing, others lounging on blankets or gathered around food trucks.
"Hey, this doesn't look half bad," Jason said, grinning.
Sophie nudged him playfully. "Oh, please. Admit it— this is way better than whatever you were planning."
