Alex waited patiently in front of Shea's house; he had been parked there for about four hours not knowing when she would be returning home. He thought about his plans for the night and wondered if this was the right way to do things. He had rented the honeymoon suite at the best hotel in the city and had everything arranged for a night of passion and love. Having to be away from her all these years was torture. He didn't want to wait another second to be with her and the thought that she might not want to see him was not even something he wanted to consider. Before he could analyze himself he spotted her, she was swaying as she walked up the block. Looking just as beautiful as he remembered, mesmerized by the sway of her hips he watched as she walk thru her gate.
Shea was so lost in her music that she was unaware that she was being watched. As she walked up her steps she looked in her bag for her keys finally she thought as she pulled them out she was happy to be home but she was in no rush to get inside the music that was pumping in her ears mixed with warm spring breeze that wrapped around her made her feel like she was sixteen again. Reminiscence was something that Shea found herself doing a lot when the cold winter yields to the warmth of the new season. Remembering the feeling of love and happiness was connected with the warm breeze that was blowing thru her hair. With a smile on her face she slowly put the key in the door but before she could get it unlocked she was startled by someone grabbing her from behind, spinning around with her fist clenched ready to knock down whoever it was that grabbed her. Shea was shocked by who she saw and before she could react Alex embraced her and kissed her like he needs her lips to keep on living. Her mind was racing with so many questions. She should have been concerned but the moment his lip touched hers she was too caught up in the feeling that she hadn't felt since he left ten years ago.
Shea could never forget Alex's kisses for they haunted her dreams to this day, time had nothing on the feeling that ran so deep within her. As he slowly pulled back from her he put his fingers up to her lips. He knew that she had questions but he wasn't ready to give any answers. He took her key out the door and led her to his car almost in a daze she just followed. They drove for about a half hour. Not too sure where he was taking her she started looking around and was about to ask him where they were going but before she could open her mouth he answered her. He told her to relax and enjoy the ride. That was what he uses to tell her back when he picked her up for a late night drive. She knew that he had something planned and a part of her was excited but she also had an uneasy feeling. She hadn't laid eyes on this man in years and now he was back acting like no time had passed. Shea knew she should let it be known that things had changed and she was no longer the sixteen years old in love and willing to follow him anywhere. So much time had passed and she has changed so much at least she thought she did.
Confused and wary she sat back and thought about all the nights she spent in his car unsure of where he was taking her. He had taken her to places she never thought of going and showed her things she had never imagined. A smile came to her face when she thought about the night they spent on the beach. They had made love that night for the first time; it was exciting and frightening at the same time. It was one of the hottest nights that summer and she had been complaining to him about the heat so he suggested going to the beach. Shea had been so excited she didn't really care that it was after midnight she just wanted to get away from her house and cool down at the same time. It turned out to be one of the best nights of her life.
