The cafeteria was in a separate building at the corner of the campus. It was a 2 storey structure with a billing counter plus a large sitting area with a monster LED TV Screen overlooking the huge hall, at ground floor. The upper floor was to be accessed by a lift at the far corner of the hall or through a stairs projecting stark at the middle of the ground floor. It was mostly a cozy affair with a layout of 2 people per table and lots of sitting places, sofas basically, by the windows. The windows of this floor were spectacular, they covered almost the entire walls on all the four sides and gave a magnificent view of the campus all around.
After getting our lunch in trays, Debolina and I decided to climb the stairs to the upper floor. Compared to the ground floor, this floor was relatively empty. But as the lunch hour progressed it was supposed to get filled up. We took a seat at the far end of the room, by the window.
"Almost done" I said, settling in my seat. Debolina was already seated. "Yeah, a few Deans left to sign, we should be able to complete it by today's second half" she said.
I took the spoon and mixed dal in my rice. Debolina was sipping lassi.
"I think this is the point where we talk about ourselves" I said to her. She smiled."Of course. I am Debolina Dutta. Resident of Kolkata. Masters in Geography, NEET qualified. Prior to joining here I was teaching at Dehradun University. I like finding new food joints and tasting new foods. I like making sketches and I have a pet cat but I am not a cat lady!" She said in one go
."Wow! You look practised in this." I muttered.
"I have been in the job market for almost 7 years now so I have definitely given more introductions than you. Thus i got better, You will get better too. Now your turn" she pointed at me with her almost finished glass of lassi.
