I woke to a vibrant feeling, like that of a Saturday in the summer after a grueling year where you slept in and ate cereal by a cheap T.V.

My head pounded but ebbed when I saw Jamie at the edge of my bed, sifting through a cutesy book with a cup of coffee teetering on the footboard.

I slyly peeked a look at the page and smiled. "Come here! The fox yelps, holding his sock and rock. You've got to see the fun it can be when thinking outside the box!" He turned to me with bright blue eyes and I smiled at him. "The others say no! You crazy orange fox! Holding their blocks and lots, do what you please, but you won't find me out of this safe big box!"

His laugh was breathy, eyes glancing between me and the book, "Here." He held the cardboard to me and I took it, flipping to the first page. "Love you."

My eyes flicked from the book to his and lingered on the scars and set jaw. It was clear he hadn't meant for that to come out but seemed like he wouldn't take it back either. "Why?" I asked him with a slight smile and his lip quirked for just a moment.

He hummed and touched his fingertips together. "Don't know why." He sighed shaking hair from his face. "But can... feel."

My lips pursed together at that and I leaned into him, beckoning him closer. When he did I tilted my head and tucked hair behind his ears, looking at his face fully which I never did.

"When you find the words," I cupped his cheeks and held firm until he looked at me again, "When you find the words, come tell them to me, and I assure you...I will say them back."

His gaze hardened, then he sighed. "Okay."

I pressed a kiss to his forehead. "Okay!"

He laughed and I pounced. Jumping on him and pressing kisses all over his brows, nose, cheeks and lips. He lost his balance and we fell to the ground in a heap of laughs and kisses that turned sensual within moments.

The coffee spilled and reached towards my fingers as I leaned back against the bed. His mouth delving between my thighs with such intensity.

He was going to be the death of me.

-

"You two make me sick." Roman growled as Jamie set a huge plate of food between us on the ground. They had gone shopping three days ago but only for food since Tate and Landon still were not here.

Eric was a nice fellow, the only one who hasn't seen my vagina yet either. It upped his points with me, surely.

"Laying around and fucking all day like rabbits, are you not ashamed?" He griped bringing a dainty teacup to his lips.

Somehow it fit.

"No." Jamie and I said at the same time and we laughed ourselves to tears while Roman went off in the background. "Have time with my wife." He got out and I praised him heavily. He nodded excitedly and pressed a kiss to my temple.

"Make me do all the work while you lay around all day." He muttered and straightened out when Eric walked by. It was uncommon to leave the door open but it seemed they were slowly starting not to care until nighttime.

"Jamester. Roman." He afforded Roman no niceties. "Opal." He nodded to me and I waved at him back since my mouth was full. "Hear anything about the others yet?"

"Nope, radio silent." Roman bit out bitterly. "I feel like a worried wife who's waiting for her husband to get home from war."

"That sums it up well, though most of us didn't eat when you all disappeared." I wriggled my fingers and Jamie sighed. "They'll come home, that I can promise."

"You don't know that at all." Roman snapped.

"I don't know, women got freaky senses." Eric smoothed his brow that furrowed when Jamie set his jaw. "They're like wizards or some shit."

"Seers." I offered and he shook his head.

"I think that's the government guys in Harry Potter." He sniffled and Roman grew red.

"The Ministry?" He screeched and I bit down my laugh that would've sent him over the edge.

"Yeah, whatever. Anyway, tell me when you hear from them. I'm holding you to it, Opes." He clicked his tongue at me and pushed off the doorframe.

I shook my head at the pet name and Jamie snickered, "Like that." He grunted out.

"I'm sure you do." I rolled my eyes and handed him the onion off my burger. He took it without thinking and ate it quietly.

"What am I even looking at right now?" Roman snorted unkindly and stalked off. "I don't like that at all."

We shrugged and picked over the rest of the plates. "I think he's in love with you." I joked and Jamie nodded with raised brows.

"My girlfriend." He huffed and I laughed with him. "Always say that."

I reached for the wine bottle and he pushed my arm away, "Why not?" I sucked my tongue and he waved me off. I reached for it again and again, each tome he pushed me away. "I'll get you more."

"How?" He teased with a nudge to my elbow. "Eat, drink." He compromised and I waited for him to look away to grab for it again. "Knew it."

He grunted and wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me over him as I screamed laughter.

We wrestled around the ground for a moment and were fucking by the next. My nails digging into his chest as I rode him into the sunset. We were rudely interrupted by a knock on the door. "Told you, women are freaky." Eric smirked.

"Come now, Jamie." Roman heaved as though he were going to throw up. Jamie jumped to his feet and grabbed a shirt, speeding past me with only a few steps.

"Stay." He pointed to the room, "Be here."

"I will." I told him jerking my head to the now emptied door. "I won't ever leave you by choice, Jamie."

He nodded, looking at me with warring eyes and cleared his throat. "Okay."

And with that he left.

It took all but two seconds before the other girls came speeding in like hell on their heels.

"What did he say?" Stelle exclaimed moving across the room much how Jamie had. She perched on the bed while Des sat behind me on the side table.

The other two I haven't quite met yet lingered until I waved them in. I watched them pick odd places to sit and talked.

"Eric alluded to the others being here, but they looked stricken. I'm sure the situation isn't good."

She tossed that over while Des spoke, "I heard Hannah screaming, Landon must be hurt."

"Or worse." The one with brown hair sighed, "I'm hoping they all die so that we can be free."

That halted me down to my heart stilling.

"Stolen." Stelle explained. "Recently."

"Like last week." The other scoffed, "Eric talked her up at a gas station and threw her into the car with me. She hit me all over."

"I truly am sorry for that." The other smiled tightly.

"Whatever, don't say things like that around us. They'll forgive you and punish us for even hearing it."

"Yeah." Stelle rubbed her neck with a long gone memory. "Des got me beat up when we first met, she wasn't used to being around those kidnapped."

The younger girl scoffed angrily, "That's horrendous."

"It's life." I enunciated each word with meaning. "You have to adapt or be forever miserable, it's been less than a week since I made that choice and now I can breathe without fear or walk without eggshells, you have to understand that. They will never let you go."

"Easy for you to say, your prince is all over you with gifts and real food. Holding you hostage with kisses and a bed." She grit and I sighed. She would never get it.

"Don't speak to her that way," Stelle seethed right back. "Her's is the worst out of all of them. He's meaner and angrier than even Henry. You have no idea what happened to her or why she's here with us so shut up."

My eyes were glittering with emotion and she waved me off. "Stop, that was nothing to thank me for or even care that I said."

"You defended me." I blubbered, "That was so nice."

"Jeez." She rolled her eyes. "You big baby."

"Let's just hope, for all our sakes, that everyone is fine or on their way to be soon." Des nodded and I agreed.

"Roman would have my head if they did come back and dead." I muttered.

"Why?" Stelle chuckled with knitted brows.

I tapped my mouth, "Told him just minutes ago that they'd come back soon."

"Ha! He'd think you bewitched them!" She clapped her hands together and guffawed. "You idiot!"

I shook her off and picked at my hamburger bun, "I don't suppose you could give him a pep talk before he got me?"

"Absolutely not." She replied cheerfully.

"Thanks." I snorted.

The whiny one picked at her tattered coat, she wasn't gorgeous but not ugly either. She was homely. "Your name?" she snooted at me and sighed.

"Opal, you?" I asked them both and the prettier one replied.

"Tawny, Lauren." She smiled and I returned it. I hated Lauren's, her attitude was particular to the name in my opinion.

Tawny was tall but not nearly my height, long-legged is what I think gave the air. Her eyes were feline with pretty lashes good for fluttering, and dagger tipped acrylics painted a muted grey. Her lips were bottom heavy and full and she wore a normal dress with a bodice laced over the top and black boots that had some height to them.

She looked like a faerie, an emo one.

Lauren was rail thin and had fried brown hair that mused up whenever she turned her head. Her brows were blonde so I guessed that was her natural color and inset lids that screamed hunger sported huge blue eyes like that of a cartoon, with thin blonde lashes that were clumped together with cheap mascara. She wore jeans and a coat much like what I wore when we came in, now I wore Jamie's shirts mostly anyway.

"Nice to meet you, Opal. I'm glad Jamie finally found someone though it's a shame under these circumstances." Tawny cleared her throat and I shrugged.

"He treats me well and does dote on me so it's fine, we're married, for quite some time now, and trying for a baby." I conversed roughly and she raised her brows with surprise.

Her nails tapped against the board of my bed, "I didn't think any of them wanted children."

"Jamie is different, it's true, but he wants things as well. He wanted a wife and now wants children, I want to grant myself that as well. It's not like I grew up without that need so it's fine." It sounded like I was convincing myself more than just talking about it.

"I see." She mused, "Henry would keel over and die if I fell pregnant." They laughed at that while my heart guttered out. It wasn't from jealousy at all but from what he said to me that night.

Don't fall for me, or I'll take advantage and fall for you.

Why would he say that if he already had a woman? How odd.

"Roman says we're not ready then goes and buys a new luxury car or me a fish." Stelle scowled, "It's growing tedious."

"It's just an excuse for what he really wants to say." Des scratched her arm with a jumpy gaze. "Harley flat out told me no, even went as far as to punch the wall by my head when I asked."

My lids fluttered at the horridness of that. How heartbroken she must have been when told that she could never step up in life with something that she wanted.

"I must be glad then." Sorrow laced my words as I looked away, "My world came crashing down when he told me that he was going to get me pregnant, and that I would raise them as my own and hurt me if I ever did anything to them."

The room fell away to silence as I grabbed for straws. "Now that things have turned a way that eclipsed the horror of that time, I would be devastated if he hurt them now."

Stelle nodded and sucked in a shaky breath, "I'll be the best damn auntie they ever could have."

I chuckled at that and Des snorted. "They'll give me a gold medal every day I wake up."

Tawny snickered but Lauren looked devoid of anything. Even life. "How are you so weak?" She snapped quietly at me. Everyone turned to her with surprise that teetered on rage. "How could you willingly let that freak touch you like that? How could you even like it? Much less carry his retarded, freaky children and let them grow up like him with weird fingers. Let them steal women from their beds to rape and mutilate them."

I closed my eyes and stretched my fists out into hands. "What's the punishment for hitting each other, Estelle?"

"Depends on how hard you hit, though right now, the consequences seem worth it." She stood and I jumped to my feet with a cocked fist.

"Whoa, whoa, girls!" Harley plucked me away from the twat as Roman gripped Stelle around the arms and pulled her away as well.

"I'm gonna fuck you up!" She shouted at her. "Just wait. When they forget about this, and when you do too, that's when I'm gonna kick your teeth in."

I seethed as blood drained from her gaunt cheeks. "Get out!"

She jolted and Tawny shook her head, "Idiot."

"Get out!" I shouted and she got to her feet. I kicked out at her as she passed and Harley groaned, gripping the limb painfully but my anger let me hardly notice. "I can't believe it!"

"I'm still processing it myself." Tawny agreed scratching her hairline. "The gall on that one."

"What happened!" Harley shouted at Desire. She didn't wink nor move, stuck in shock I was sure. "Desire!"

She jolted and closed her mouth, red hair glinting with the light now turned on. "She-"

"Called Jamie a freak." Stelle struggled in his grip as did I. "Said Opal's weak as well."

"Oh, and that they'd have freak babies." Tawny added unhelpfully, adding gas to the inferno of our anger. "And that he was retarded which is a terrible word."

"We get it, Tawny, Jesus Christ." Roman lifted Stelle off her feet unable to keep her down any other way.

I was passed off to Jamie who looked stricken. "Relax." He purred while tears suddenly burst from my eyes. "Relax."

"If I see her again I'm beating her, Roman." Stelle pushed him off her and paced angrily. "You can hurt me now for saying it and you can kill me after I do it, but I don't care."

He sucked his tongue to still his hands. "It doesn't matter, Estelle, she's temporary. You know that."

"I know it." Tawny tipped her head back and laughed. "Once this gets back to Eric she's as good as gone, he doesn't play when it comes to his manbaby."

Harley rubbed his jaw and went to stand next to Des. "Filthy little thing." He grumbled. "What in the world would possess him to grab someone like her in the first place?"

"Because he was angry." Henry mused from the door frame sticking a cigarette in his mouth which Jamie plucked and snapped in half. Henry grumbled but waved him off. "He was going to kill her regardless of whatever you all were talking about."

No one in the know offered up the information with Jamie right there and he sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. He looked to Tawny who flicked her gaze to Jamie and he seemed to put two and two together.

"Leave it here tonight, we have pressing matters. Act right." Roman snapped to Stelle who didn't even flinch.

"I won't lie to you." She smiled at him, "That is a lesson I'd rather not repeat."

He grinned, rubbing her head as he passed by. "That one was my favorite, shame." She full body shivered and he noted it, looking her up and down as though weighing his priorities. "Hannah is eager to see the new girl, play nice for her."

I scoffed and Des sucked her tongue. "Fuck that girl."

"I mean Opal, obviously." He grunted and swirled his hair. "I'll take care of the other one soon."

Stelle nodded and Jamie blew harsh breath, looking to me with narrowed eyes. "I don't want to say." I told him flitting my gaze away.

"Out." He told the others and slowly they trailed out the door with sour expressions. "Say." He snapped, setting me on my feet and yanking the shirt off his shoulders.

"It's just mean, Jamie." My hands found themselves busy with my hemline. "So I don't want to tell you."

"Can handle myself." He growled laying a hand to his chest.

It wasn't the right time to applaud so I smiled at him instead. "I know that, honey, I do. So don't make me."

His hand closed over my throat in warning and tugged me to his chest. "Say."

My lips pinched then smoothed while I pulled his hand from my throat. I turned and sat on the bed, sticking my hands under bared thighs as he watched, looming over me. "She said you're weird and that I'm weak and gross for wanting to be with you, in the nicest way to put it."

He grunted amusement and pulled his hair back loosely, obviously just wanting it off his face more than needing it wrapped up. "Do you..." He grunted and whined trying to think of the word he never used.

"Agree?" I offered and he nodded loosening his jeans and turning to the side table. "I never thought you were... Well, I guess I did when you were swinging around weapons and running down girls and shooting me in the shoulder."

He barked laughter as the very same gun was tucked away neatly in the drawer. "Okay, and?"

I shifted uncomfortably, with a downcast glare. "She meant your looks though and said your hands were weird and that our kids would be atrocious."

He stretched his fingers with furrowed brows, "What?"

"I'm guessing she meant the scars and mistook them for a deformity." I seethed, "Your hands are fine. Very cute."

What was it about Jamie that made people so mean? He was fine. I don't understand why he's treated like this and none of the others aren't too.

"Like Hills Have Eyes." I wriggled my fingers and he smiled. "You've never seen it?"

"No. Movie?" He asked absentmindedly, muscles bunching and flexing though he was still. I knew he would get angry or hurt, now it was divining which.

"Yes about a bunch of people who were hit by a bomb and went to live in the mountains." I explained quickly, "The fallout messed them up so they're... odd."

He snorted a laugh and shrugged off his pants, then threw them a bit harsher than necessary into the hamper. "Am odd?" He asked me quietly and I wasn't sure how to answer that.

"You are many things," I sighed letting my chin fall into a palm. "Crazy, creepy, and cheesy. But my dear Husband, you are not odd in the slightest."

His eyes met mine and for the first time I felt a flicker.

It was maddening.

An impulse like that of magnets, you had no other choice but to connect, and you would push against each other in any other way. His eyes were flat, thin pieces of crystal, stalking me whichever way I could go.

"Don't look at me like that." I shuddered giving way to something baser within me, something sickening like a disease that would only be cured by him.

"I won't." He breathed doing the exact opposite.

I pushed backwards as he approached, opening my legs from him to settle where he belonged. "You are still doing it."

"I'm not." He growled running cruel fingertips across my jaw.

"You are." I insisted falling prey to the tumor that is him. He scent and power, his arms and lips. They all belonged to me, they were all mine. My nails dug into his shoulders and I watched as his eyes flared how I wanted them to. How I wanted him to only look at me with.

Sensing the tension he shifted back, letting his necklace drape to the side as he did. I rarely noticed he wore it at all most days, too busy looking lower. "I am not." He grunted and his breath washed over my cheeks.

Heaven and hell molded to make him.

"My Jamie." I whispered and he stilled, raw passion steering his movements then. "You are," I flicked hair off my shoulders and pulled the shirt from me, shifting out of my underwear. I laid bare to him and he looked pained. "So don't stop."

Crushing eyes pinned me though it did not feel like it as his fingers trailed and closed over my calf, pulling it down so that his thighs were touching between mine. "I won't."

He dropped to a knee in one graceful movement, something I couldn't pull off with a thousand years of practice, and threw my leg over his shoulder. "What are you..."

My words were cut off by his wide, searing tongue lapping at me from my entrance to my clit, swirling around the nub with teasing strokes that jerked my legs. He clamped down on them, holding me still and did it again and again and again.
