"I can't believe you actually ran away from home." Jasper shook his head, laughing. "And all this time I thought you were a good girl."
"I am." Evangeline said, crossing her arms defiantly. "I just needed a bit of time."
"A bit of time?" He asked incredulously. "You skipped three towns. Where did you even go?"
"I have a lot of friends in a lot of places." She said in a mock-mysterious voice.
"You're such a poser."
"We're both posers, in case you forgot."
It was true, in a way. It was the end of August now, the two of them growing a relationship through the summer. They weren't exclusive or anything, both their parents would go into cardiac arrest, but they had a strong friendship...and great sex.
Evangeline's family had left for a convention that weekend. She couldn't go because she just had so much to study, and she was grounded for life either way. Jasper's parents, on the other hand, were staying at his grandmother's house, leaving the house empty and perfect for the two teenage lovers.
She was a stark contrast in his bedroom. The walls were grey, covered in posters and pictures and phrases written in sharpie. He had three guitars and a keyboard pushed in the corner of his room, with a desk on the other side of his black-sheeted, full bed. Evangeline, with her preppy thigh-high socks and glowing blonde hair, became the emphasis in the room.
"You're pretty." He sighed, leaning back against the pillows.
"Thanks." She said, gracefully falling back next to him, her head on his arm. "So are you."
He frowned. "Stop."
"What?" She asked, looking up at him playfully. "Am I emasculating you?"
"You'll regret this." He warned.
"What if I pinned you down?" She asked, climbing onto him. "Would you be embarrassed?"
He raised his eyebrows at her, looking up into her eyes.
He kissed her chastely before flipping them over, causing her to squeal.
"Jasper!" She pouted, struggling from under his grip. "You couldn't have let me win?"
They wrestled around on his bed for a couple of minutes. Her laughter was infectious, so much so that even he started laughing a bit. He reached his arms around her, tickling her abdomen. She giggled wildly, twisting and trying to squirm away from him, but he had a vice grip.
"Jasper, please stop!" She cried.
"Why?"
"Please, oh my god!" She laughed.
"I'll think about it." He told her, not slowing in his ministrations.
While he kept her busy and scared and laughing, he silently reached out onto his desk, grabbing the pair of handcuffs he had been keeping. Right when her eyes started tearing up, he cuffed her ankle. She stopped laughing for a moment, confused, and in that moment, he attached the other end of the cuff to the bottom post of the bed.
She gasped.
"Jasper you did not."
He sucked in a sharp breath, faking an apologetic look. "But I did."
"Jasper!"
"Evan!" He mocked.
"Unlock it." She deadpanned.
"Just wait a second." He said, getting off the bed and leaving the room, listening to her call after him.
