Caitlin paced her bedroom as she glanced at the bathroom door. It had been four weeks since Mark and Sophie's wedding and she wished she could forget the disaster of the weekend. She had been told her ex boyfriend Logan was in Australia, but he had shown up anyway and instead of meeting in a respectful way, she had fallen ass over teakettle over his legs as she tried to take a nice walk on the beach. They had been assigned to share the same two-bedroom cottage and she really didn't remember the details, but she knew that in the past, when the two of them were angry and frustrated -- watch out because the sex was hot and intense. They had agreed to pretend that afternoon never happened and they had gone their separate ways. It wasn't until she got home that she realized she had forgotten to take her next set of birth control pills.
Caitlin looked at the clock and walked into the bathroom and stared at the test on the counter. She hated how cutesy those pregnancy tests looked and she sighed as she saw the 2 dark pink lines. She had known she was pregnant before she had taken the test but at least this was proof. She turned and walked to grab her cell phone, dialing his number.
"Don't hang up. It's important."
She knew that Logan was rolling his eyes as he answered his cell phone. She had no idea where in the world he was, but she needed to talk to him.
"What do you want Caitlin?"
"I was wondering if we could get together next time you're in Sandford."
Sandford was the city that Caitlin had been living in since she went off to college. The college was located in town and she loved it so much that she had stayed. Of course, not wanting to go back to her hometown and face Logan was a pretty good motivator as well.
"I'm in Sandford now."
Caitlin's blood pressure went up as Logan said that. She was trying hard not to freak out.
"Can we meet for dinner tonight. Joeys at 7pm."
"Fine."
Logan hung up and wondered what the hell was going on. He wondered if she had spoken to Stacey and found out the truth. He had wanted to tell her the whole story back at the resort, but he had chickened out. He really didn't want to relive that part of his life when he was conned out of a large sum of money from some stupid blonde. He also didn't want to tell her that he had accepted a job in Sandford and was just settling in to his new apartment.
Caitlin sat on her couch and dialed Stacey's number. She wasn't sure why she was doing this but she needed to know the whole truth from Stacey before she told Logan her news.
"Hello. Can I speak to Stacey Moore?"
Caitlin heard the phone drop and the man who answered the phone called out for Stacey to pick up the phone.
