Author's Note:
Holy cow. It's been a long time since I updated, and for that I apologize greatly. I honestly can't say when the next chapter will be up, but I will sure try for there not to be such a big gap again. I want to thank all you who have voted, commented, and/or favorited! (Also this chapter is the longest yet, by about ten Microsoft word pages, if that is any consolation).
Happy reading!

Sunday evening Brody was on the internet just dicking around as young people like to do, when he saw the perfect thing to do with Michelle the next night. Excited about it, and wanting to share it with her immediately, he decided to call her instead of just texting her the details. He got out his phone and pressed "Sugar Baby" on his contacts. He had changed it to Sugar Baby after that one phone conversation where they phone snuggled each other's brains out, and hadn't decided if he should change it again. He was still debating on whether to put Kitten, Mimi, or one of those things Jude liked to do. Looking Michevlle-d (like disheveled) was his newest one, but he didn't know if that one was quite up to par. The phone rang twice before Michelle picked it up. "Hey," she said.
"Hello. How are you?" he asked.
"Oh, so polite. I'm fine. And how are you, dear sir?"
"Better now that I'm talking to you, kitten."
"Oh, no," she replied back, hearing the offensive nickname.
"Who is it?" Brody heard a male voice ask in the background of the other line.
"It's Brody," she told the voice.
"Brody! Tell him I said hi, and I want to know when we're going to hang out just the two of us," the voice said. Well, it wasn't just a voice anymore. Brody could tell it was Jude.
Instead of having poor Michelle repeat the question for Jude, Brody answered, "Tell Jude I say hi, too. And we can hang out any time besides Monday and Friday night, because that's my Mimi Time." Michelle chuckled and repeated the information back to Jude.
Brody then heard Michelle make an annoyed noise. "Everything okay?" Brody asked.
"Everything's great. I'm talking to you," the decidedly now male voice answered back.
"Oh. Hey, Jude," Brody said amused.
"Hey, Broseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
Brody could hear Michelle's loud laugh through her phone, and he laughed along with her. "So... does this mean I get to look forward to a whole bunch of random nicknames?" he asked.
"Yep. Brody is a crazy easy name to do that with," Jude said.
"Yeah. The only Jude thing I think of is Judy Jetson, which isn't very good."
"Yeah. My name doesn't lend itself to it so much," he agreed. "Anyway, Mich-e-ville Longbottom is eyeing me down like she's about plunge the Sword of Gryffindor through my heart, so I should probably give her back her phone."
Brody chortled. "I like that one. You're good at this."
"Well, what can I say? It's not my first rodeo, Brodeo."
"Such talent!" Brody teased.
Jude giggled softly. "Thanks. Here's Michelle," he said, giving his sister back her phone.
"Sorry about that," Michelle said, sounding exasperated. "I'm going to my room, and locking my door so no more annoying losers can bother me," she said saying the second part of her sentence especially loud for a certain someone to hear.
"Love you, Meems!" Jude yelled back right before Michelle closed her door.
"It's okay. I like Jude," Brody said nonchalantly.
"Yeah. You both seem to like each other," Michelle said a little sardonically.
"Oh. Are you jealous? Don't worry, kitten, I only have eyes for you," Brody smirked on the other line.
Hearing the irritating grin on his face through the phone, Michelle asked, "So what's up?" in a clipped tone she had whenever she was annoyed by something.
"Nothing. Just calling about plans tomorrow."
"Yeah. About that, Brody. I really don't think I have time-"
"No. Wait. Hear me out. How do you feel about Hitchcock?"
"I love Hitchcock. Doesn't everyone?"
"You do?" Brody asked, a little surprised.
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I?"
"You said yourself you're not a big fan of Horror movies, so I didn't know if-"
"Hitchcock doesn't necessarily do Horror movies, though. It's more like, I don't know... like everything's normal and fine, but then one weird thing happens, and it changes everything. His movies are more strange or suspenseful, you know? Not... scary."
Brody smiled. "I totally agree with you, but a lot of people think he does Horror movies, so..."
"That doesn't make any sense. He's called The Master of Suspense."
"Trust me. I've had this argument with a lot of people. I don't know. I mean, have any of these people seen 'The Trouble With Harry'? How is that a Horror movie?"
"It's not even a Suspense either, really. That's a black comedy," Michelle said.
Brody's smile got even wider. She really was a Hitchcock fan. Sure, maybe she wasn't the biggest fan of Sam Raimi or Wes Craven, but at least they had Hitchcock. "Well, the indie theatre down in Holland is playing 'Rear Window' tomorrow at 6:15. I was going to use this as an opportunity to educate you on the macabre, but it seems like you don't need me to."
"'Educate me on the macabre'? Holy douche bag, Brody," Michelle said, disgusted.
Brody laughed. "Sorry. That was douchey."
"You just sounded so pretentious right then," Michelle chuckled. "I almost had to call this whole thing off."
"Hey, don't joke about that," he said softly. He didn't like hearing her even joke about not seeing him anymore. "I promise not to be such a douche in the future."
"I'll hold you to that."
"So do you want to go? I can pick you up, we'll see the movie, then I'll bring you back home. You'll be home around 9:00, so it won't be too late. You can still do that Movie Monday thing with your dad."
"Oh. We're not doing it this week. Penny has some beach volleyball thing in St. Joseph. They won't be home until after 10:00."
"So... I can have you even later than 9:00?" Brody asked, hopefully.
"No. Like I said, I don't even know if I should do anything tomorrow, Brody. I need to work on that paper. We're not taking a final. It's the last thing for the class."
"So you'll have a few weeks with no classes before the fall semester starts up?" Brody got excited. That means she'd have more time to spend with him.
Michelle smiled softly, "Yes. I will, Brody."
"Cool. You're spending it all with me."
"I don't even know if I'm spending tomorrow with you."
