Author's note:
For those of you fortunate enough not to know, a Proton Pump Inhibitor is a medication used to help manage acid reflux and heartburn. This story is NOT about that.

"You feel so amazing," Jeff groaned, pushing deep into Kate.
"Mmmm, so do you."
"You came already?"
"Twice," she giggled. "Couldn't you tell?"
"I thought so, but I didn't want to assume. Still figuring you out."
"When I cum twice," Kate said with a sigh, "that means you've figured me out." She ran her fingers through his chest hair. "I'm so glad you said hello to me in the grocery store that day."
Though he was nearing release, Jeff whispered, "I was sure you didn't know how to choose a mango."
Kate giggled again. "You can mango me any time!"
The two kissed, and a moment later Jeff came with a harsh gasp. Kate held him even tighter, moving in time to meet his final, shuddering thrusts while he moaned with bliss. When her lover was at last depleted, she let him carefully tug his latex-wrapped member free, then went to wash up.
"Hey," Kate said from the bath, "what is this?"
"What is what?" Jeff asked, still catching his breath.
"This prescription in your cabinet. A Protein Pump Inhibitor?"
"Huh? Don't you know you aren't supposed to peep into someone else's medicine cabinet?"
Kate popped her head around the door long enough to make a face. "You told me I could start keeping a few things here, right?"
"I'm kidding, baby!" Jeff rolled out of bed and slid the condom off of his slowly deflating penis. After he'd dropped it into the trash he took a look at the bottle that Kate had in her hand. "Oh, yeah. Mel gave that to me. Said I needed it."
"Your ex," Kate said, her smile starting to weaken. "The doctor."
"Pharmacist. But yes."
Kate turned the bottle in her hand. "Do you suffer from heartburn?"
"No."
"But you still take it?"
"She told me to take it every day."
Kate took her time before replying. "Look Jeff, at the risk of sounding like the new girlfriend that wants all evidence of the old girlfriend banished, I think you should stop taking this. It doesn't sound like you need it. Maybe she misunderstood something you said. Anyway, I don't think pharmacists are supposed to prescribe medications, just fill them."
"No, no, that's cool. You're right." Jeff took the bottle from her hand, examined it briefly, then put it back in the medicine cabinet. "I'll keep it just in case, but yeah. Shouldn't take drugs that you don't need, right?"
"Right," Kate said, her smile rallying. She swatted playfully at his penis. "Dibs on the shower, mango boy!"

One week later, while Jeff was rinsing off the day's dishes, his phone buzzed with a text from Kate.
Hey! You want a little company tonite?
He dried his hands.
Hey back! Yeah, of course, but I thought you couldn't make it over today.
Work meeting tomorrow is postponed. I'm free.
