Gabriel took off their glasses and placed them on their dis/organized desk, sighing because work was always harder when they had to be dealing with difficult people. Problem solving was never the issue in these important tasks, it was always the nooks and crannies people worked themselves into that Gabriel eventually had to fish the others out of.
A jackhammer sounded off in their brain but Gabriel realized through the sensory overload it was just their phone receiving a text. They reluctantly lifted it up but smiled a bit upon revealing Raven's picture on their screen. That certainly brightened what was an already gloomy day. That smile, the look in her shining eyes, Gabriel could stare at her pictures for hours and never get bored. There was always something new and exciting coming from that fascinating brain of hers. They opened up the text and let out a breath they didn't even realize they were holding. Her message was simple and perfectly timed.
"I'm bringing over something to eat!"
Gabriel's stomach gurgled loudly. The smile on their face spread and they told her to let herself in when she arrived. They think on the rest of their To-Do list, and if they finished their bore of a task now, they'd have some extra time for lunch and that meant more time with Raven. They got back to the task at hand and stayed dedicatedly distracted by their work until a knock sounded on their office door.
The day had been overcast outside, raining as usual, but seeing Raven standing there in their doorway was like getting to see the sunshine break through the clouds. The smile on her face was radiant and Gabriel couldn't stop themselves from reflecting it back. They go to stand but a quick movement from Raven has them pausing. Her arms are raised up in a "wait!" type of gesture and she starts waving her flapping hands to get them to sit back down. Gabriel drops back into their seat with a raised eyebrow.
"Food?" Was all Gabriel could mutter without laughing at Raven as she fidgeted in the doorway. Her hands were suspiciously empty as they fluttered about her waist and the buttons of her ankle length puffer jacket. They absently thought of turning up the heat -- as she was always so damn cold. She stared at Gabriel, maybe through Gabriel, looking a bit like an adorably stunned deer wrapped in a purple marshmallow.
Before Gabriel could ask, again, what exactly Raven was doing, Raven ripped open her winter coat and let it drop. It slunk down her curvy little body and fell around her ankle boots with a floof. Gabriel froze in shock, recovering with a slick pop of their jaw un-dropping. The Pope could've heard a pin drop from the Vatican. They minutely adjusted in their seat, cleared their throat, and fumbled across their desk for their glasses. There was no way they were going to take their eyes off her. Gabriel didn't exactly need the spectacles to know what just happened, but they'd rather have a crystal clear and crisp vision of exactly what they were looking at.
Once the glasses were on their face, though slightly askew, Gabriel started at the black high heels Raven wore on her dainty feet and slowly followed the line of her bare legs all the way up to her shapely hips. Lacy straps dug into the soft flesh there, leading to a scrap of cloth covering the space between her thighs, but it was barely enough to cover the smattering of hair hidden there. Their gaze traveled up her stomach, littered with little scars, to the lace bra she wore that barely hid the shadow of her dark nipples beneath. Gabriel was suddenly overwhelmed with hunger, and couldn't give a single fuck about food. All they wanted to do was get their hands and mouth on her immediately.
It had been a beat or two of silence during their casual perusal. Raven stood there, arms slightly raised and out at her sides as she bared herself to Gabriel and just waited while they rebooted. Once their eyes finally met hers, she felt the impact of that decided stare like a heat lamp, and goosebumps rose up all over her skin. "Well?!" Raven shivers slightly. "You want your food fresh or frozen?" Her voice cracked as she said it.
"Delivery?" Gabriel got to their feet in a slow rise, which she observed with rapt attention. They couldn't help but enjoy the subtle way her body responded to theirs, mirroring their movements and anticipation. They grinned, stalking right over to her, and she tried to initiate their usual game of cat and mouse, but on her heels she just wobbled in a circle and almost broke her ankle trying to flee.
As she fell, presumably to her death, Gabriel pounced before impact, swooping her up into their arms and spinning her back towards the desk where they planted her bare ass on top of all of their paperwork. The errant thought escaped their focus that this paperwork might have to be submitted the next day, but fuck it. Gabriel hummed appreciatively as they sat their ass back down into their seat and looked up at Raven. She still had the same stunned deer look in her eyes as before, until her gaze flickered down to meet theirs. Gabriel grinned. "I could get used to this."
Raven's chest heaved, practically panting as she swiped at the hair that fell in her face after Gabriel's aggressive displacement. Her knees were clamped together as she teetered in the space, pointed toes precariously avoiding their keyboard on the pull out. She's not exactly big but she's not a flatscreen monitor either. Her fingers curled around the edge of the desk near where her ass was perched and she bit her lip when she saw the smile blooming on Gabriel's lips.
"So what'd you bring me?" Gabriel's hands skated up the back of her calves and skimmed down the front of her shins to touch the heels she teetered in on. They bet they'd find her galoshes by the front door, as she probably only put these on once she got inside, because for whatever reason, she could dance on the damn toothpicks, but couldn't drive or barely walk.
She hums, lifting a foot off the desk and planting it delicately against Gabriel's chest, digging in her toe ever so gently, like she stubbed out a lit cherry on their shirt. Her eyes light up in that smug way and Gabriel knows they'll enjoy the answer that comes out of those lips, no matter what. She grinned with her tongue between her teeth and winks. "Mexican."
