The Gala was tonight, the true grand opening party of the new storefront. Nix was now standing behind Declan in front of Mistress's full body mirror, preparing to take the bandage off his newest art. He made Declan close his eyes as He peeled back the gauze and wiped the jewels gently with sterile solution. He'd been very careful to not let Declan see it; He'd been checking and cleaning it with the boy blindfolded just in case. "Alright Bright eyes, now." The air huffed out of Declan's lungs as his eyes landed on the new piece.
"Master..." he whispered. He ran his fingers over the emerald jewels that formed the shape of a flame, exactly like Phoenix had on his chest. His heart hammered in his ears, and he felt himself beginning to fill with joy. He couldn't believe it.
"Like it?" Nix asked with a knowing smirk.
"I love it. I
love it
. It's your mark." He said, seemingly in awe, unable to form cohesive thoughts.
"That's right. Now you really are
my
boy." He whispered, kissing Declan's flushed cheek. "I love you, sweet one."
Declan glowed, it felt like a promise that Phoenix would never let him go. A promise that he would be safe in his Master's arms forever and he would forever have the pleasure of serving the most amazing man he had ever met.
The entourage arrived. Piles of expensive vehicles lined up down the driveway, waiting for one of the many make-shift valets to see their ride safely to the three-story parking garage hidden behind hills and trees deep within Diamond manor property. The guests, dressed in extravagant evening wear, emerged into the light of the front entrance to the manor in a flurry of aristocratic excitement. Their slaves followed suit -- either on their arm or behind with luggage and instructions to be greeted by the manor's attendants -- were as beautiful as their Masters'. They'd all come to celebrate the launch of Danica's new storefront expansions at a gala like the manor had not seen since Mistress had opened Her rescue, some years ago.
Lady Accarin Stood tall and proud on the landing of the grand staircase in the front hall, overlooking Her guests' arrival. Beside Her, standing taller, and possibly more proudly, was Mr. Phoenix Emerald, His arm gently around Her waist. And of course, the picture could not be complete without the Diamond Prince, kneeling patiently to Her other side -- the delicate white gold chain leading from his ornate collar to the delicate strap on his Mistress's wrist. The item was clearly symbolic, any amount of pressure would see it snapped -- but that was the point. He was Theirs not only in body, but mind and heart. They need not tie him down, he belonged here.
He breathed steadily, focused entirely on his job, his manners, his night ahead -- he would be perfect if it killed him. His focus was shaken by the voice of his Mistress -- it penetrated the fog in his mind like sunlight. "Sweet one?" She inquired quietly.
"Yes Mistress." He answered immediately, his voice entirely neutral; determined.
"You'll be wonderful. I know you will." She said, letting the smile and pride She felt seep into Her voice.
"Of course he will, he's our boy. Besides, he learned from the best." Came the confident, teasing voice of His Master. Declan tried to hide the blush creeping up his torso at both the praise, and the silky undertone of Nix's voice. He could feel the man's eyes drinking him in -- the smooth, oiled torso and shimmering diamonds therein, the tight black leggings that did nothing to hide anything from the imagination, and the custom fine sheer mesh piece twisting along down his right leg, following the diamond pattern and allowing it to shimmer gently in the right light. His chest was outlined with a halter style top comprised entirely of straps that perfectly accented his lean muscle.
"Thank you, Mistress, Master." He said, lowering his head to the floor briefly before returning to his former kneeling pose.
"He's definitely in the zone..." Nix said quietly, leaning into Dani's ear, giving Her a playful nip. She couldn't help but giggle a little at the gesture. Nix was always so relaxed, so calm; a rock in the sea that was the vulnerable Declan and tightly wound Dani. It was somehow the most comforting thing in the world. He wore elegant black framed glasses, now thanks to Dani's insistence that He may need them with all the reading and computer work He was now doing, and they added a flare of extra sharp intelligence to His face. They played off His Emerald and black suit flawlessly, giving Him a dashing, sophisticated air about him.
Dani had decided on lavish gold for Her colour tonight, stating it went well with both of Her boys' signature colours, and it represented Her expansion and adventure into further profit, and neither man could disagree. She looked every bit the Lady she was, draped in elegant glittering fabrics which trailed behind Her like a stream of wealth itself, it was hard to tell where She ended, and the fabric began.
All eyes made their way to the trio as they came down into the crowd. Applause erupted as the Masters of the house waved Their greeting to Their acquaintances. The party then began as the house slaves made their way to the floor, opening the corridors that lead to the grand sitting room, dining room and banquet hall. Appetizers and champagne flowed through the crowd on skilled hands holding ornate trays. Soft music in the background had the atmosphere swelling with pleasantries and small talk.
As they made their way from guest to guest, Declan's heart pounded as he performed what he could only believe was a dance with his Mistress. Ever leaving slack in the leash, he never missed a step. Always on Her right-hand side, one step back. Always stopping exactly when She did, kneeling when appropriate, always turning with grace and keeping pace flawlessly. He was connected to Her, flowing as though he was a very part of Her own body.
The party remained formal, one might even say slightly stiff for the first while, until a glass of libation had been had by all. Slowly the atmosphere eased, and the chatter became louder and laughs could be heard.
Nix excused himself for a moment to go speak with the owners of some slave friends He had made at past events, while Dani attempted to get Herself and Declan away from the major crowd and into the formal sitting room. Upon arrival, they were both relieved to find it sparsely populated. Dani set the empty glass She had been carrying on a table and sat near the fire to regain some social energy. She gently patted Declan's cheek as he knelt beside Her. "Good boy. You make me so proud."
She barely finished Her sentence before a new commotion spilled into the sitting room. Declan hunched his shoulders defensively as Dani twirled to see what the scene was about, but She deflated and sighed when Her eyes caught sight. The 'commotion' was none other than big time defense lawyer Hunter Elffire. His reputation and ego were as well-known as his skills in court, and his charisma was not something to be taken lightly. He had a tongue of silver and could wrap a room around his finger in minutes, and had previously managed to convince Danica that he was worth Her time, once. This was going to be an exhausting evening.
