Roast to Ruin

"Hello, my wonderful and handsome boys," I said while staring straight into the camera. I checked the viewing list, and was pleased to see the numbers racking up immediately after I'd gone live. Over the past years, I'd worked up a real rapport with my following. I put out so much content, mostly offering advice on the male dating strategy from a female perspective, and commenting on how society was heading downhill. I reached them with live streams and podcasts, engaging them in a way no one else was. I frequently drew attention to certain feminists who were pushing misandrist rhetoric, using their own words to rile up my subscribers and prove that the world was out to get honest, traditional men. They were a dying breed, as I stated over and over, and involuntarily celibates really aligned with me, finding my sympathetic and compassionate approach endearing. They seemed to cherish the existence of a woman who actually cared about them. I assured them it wasn't their fault, and modern society was against them. I encouraged them to look elsewhere, towards other countries that still held traditional values, and, if anything, I gave them hope that there were indeed women out there for them. If anything, I became their heroine, and a voice for the struggles they had to endure.

I'd most definitely found my niche, and I wasn't afraid to sensationalise any topic that would bring in new subscribers. I particularly targeted women whose political agenda was the polar opposite of my own. For instance, any woman that was really pushing women's' rights or activism. The more vocal they were in their beliefs, the easier it was for me to rile up the mood against them and really set my subscribers off. If they dressed lewdly and promoted female empowerment, well, that was an open goal for myself to attack. I'd target them via associating them with the reduction of society, and I steered my followers towards more traditional women, like myself. The likes of which stayed at home, cooked and looked after their husbands. Not the women that were half-undressed, easily spread their legs and constantly yelling about how men had it easier. Anyone that fell into an adjacent bracket was fair game too. Liberals, woke women, vegans, all of them were in my target, and all of them provided fantastic content for me to keep the subscribers coming. I'd hold entire streams focused on a targeted woman, and I'd sent numerous into hiding; their social media accounts locked after my followers had tracked them down. It was an addictive power that I most definitely enjoyed wielding. All the while, I'd promote myself as the ideal example of a woman. A proud misogynist, I empowered traditional, masculine men, rather than trying to break them down. I promoted relationships and marriages where the men worked, and the women worked to please the man. I encouraged dominance in the men, and nurtured submissiveness and obedience in the women, and my subscribers loved it all. For them, it was refreshing to communicate and bond with a woman that truly understood their plight.

Of course, I kept most of my personal data private, and I went by an alias. 'Marielle' is what I had my followers call me, and it was kind of cool. I tried to involve a lot of comedy and off-the-cuff comments too, back from my earlier days when I tried my hand at stand-up. As a result, a lot of clips of mine had gone viral, with guys of a similar mindset sharing them around. I opted for jokes which were male-orientated and constantly made quips about women and equality and all that of that stuff, often with a spliced image of some angry woman that I insulted and demeaned, putting her right in her place. I regularly included snide, personal jokes against the brash women out there I considered my adversaries, and labelled them as shameful examples of our gender. Any time they clapped back, well, it just worked in my favour, bringing more attention towards my business. Sure, I'd get an army of angry banshees coming after me, but I'd attract the attention of paying subscribers too. It was all worth it, and I thrived on the anger and outrage which my advocation of traditional gender roles inevitably encouraged.

I checked the viewers again, and was pleased to see the numbers were still rising. I clicked a couple of icons, and then prepared my script next to my computer. "Hello, gentleman," I announced and I gave a double thumbs up. "It's your blushing belle, Marielle here, the only woman that understands you and actively promotes your interests. I have some interesting developments for you today. Strap yourselves in, because you know how it goes, we're going to scrutinise some of those woke, outrageous harlots that think all of us need to listen to their exhausting beliefs. As a real, genuine and respectful woman, I'm fighting back against the matriarchy, boys, and I'm standing up for you as men."

Already, a number of subscribers were giving the thumbs up and filling the screen with positive emojis. A few were even adding extra tips, though in the small dollar amounts. It was all welcome though, and really motivated me to press on.

"Right, so listen to this. We have a very vocal and angry one today, and she's ticked all of the boxes." I clicked an image I'd saved to my desktop, and then added it to the stream. The picture popped up of a comedienne that had been building an undeserved reputation for herself, and she'd hit my radar when performing in my local town. She went by the alias of 'Scarlet the Harlot', a most appropriate moniker, and she was known for making some rather below the belt jokes attacking masculinity. She was only in her twenties, but already had a lot of positive reviews. She was particularly renowned for focusing her entire act around misandry and the majority of her jokes were directed against men. She frequently cursed, and used all kinds of crude language to make her predominantly-female audiences laugh along with her. She promoted hyper-sexualisation and women having total autonomy over their own bodies, and it was just problematic concerning my own drive towards traditional gender roles. I'd watched a couple of clips of her acts, and she spent so much time focused on female orgasms and how women should just abandon men and take care of themselves. She was basically against marriage, and seemed to be in favour of some woman-centric society where men were considered outcasts. Ex-partners in particular drew a lot of her ire, and she went into explicit details about her sex life and how no man had ever satisfied her. I found it all rather vulgar and uncomfortable, and she was a prime example of the modern kind of woman who left men feeling isolated and attacked.

"Pay attention, boys," I said while bringing up a video. "This feminist is out to get you. She won't be satisfied until you've all been gelded and you're prancing around like ballerinas. I think she's actually offended by the existence of men. She wants you working manual labour for the rest of your lives and masturbating into a cup so women like her can rule society. She'll have you all making deposits at the sperm farm, and then going back to your slave-wage jobs that she thinks women are too good to perform themselves. Obviously, I don't agree with her and I don't endorse any of these radical ideas. We can't let this kind of dangerous ideology thrive, or manly men like yourselves will be driven to extinction, along with our entire species. You know, boys? Pay attention."

I clicked play, and then all of my subscribers began animatedly filling the chat with insults as Scarlet the Harlot strut onto the stage. She was dressed all grungy in her usual style, with a loose t-shirt, leggings and thick, black leather boots. In her nose was a ring, and her hair was a mixture of black and dyed silver streaks. Her t-shirt had some annoying logo emblazoned on her breasts saying some ultra-feminist nonsense and it was like she was a walking political advert.

I let the clip play out for the next couple of seconds so my subscribers had a good understanding of who our newest enemy was. Scarlet basically screamed a number of feminist and woke jokes into the mic, each of which were directed at belittling men. She told stories of previous hook-ups while denigrating their penis size. She spat out punchlines focused around the patriarchy keeping women down. None of it seemed healthy, and she was part of the problem of why modern society was collapsing. Perhaps my previous attempts at comedy myself gave me extra motivation to rein in her dangerous and disruptive views.

I was aware enough to recognise that these sorts of women didn't want equality; they wanted favouritism, and they were making it difficult for regular women, like myself, who adhered to traditional standards. Women who understood how the world should really work. The kind of women I considered myself amongst, and who I constantly tried to guide my subscribers towards. That's why I encouraged many to head off to areas of the world where the women still acted like women.

That's why my 'Traditional Relationship Standards' coaching classes were so successful, because I attracted the guys that felt like they'd been forgotten. My marketing was flawless, and I constantly paid for advertisements which targeted a specific demographic. My content was designed to appeal to loners and those whose places had become obfuscated by the prominence of modern feminism. Basically, lonely guys that were constantly getting rejected by women and made to feel worthless. Some referred to them as incels, thereby, involuntary celibates who were still mostly virgins and filled with frustration. These guys were my bread and butter and they'd subscribe upon the promise of solutions and a sympathetic ear from an understanding woman. I was vocally proud of the fact I too was a virgin, and emphasised with their desire to find the right partner before commitment. Of course, the classes were also my income, so I specifically geared my content around keeping them hooked, ensuring my steady stream of subscriptions were maintained month after month. The podcasts and video broadcasts where I targeted women were particularly popular, as it was like an outlet for the justified rage amongst the group of guys I'd assembled. Obviously, demonstrating terrible examples of women also made myself like better too, where I was able to operate from a moral high road. I didn't need to expose my body, or use vulgar language. I simply listened, and spoke to my boys in the way that they deserved: with respect and from a submissive womanly view.

"Okay, so here we go," I said, and I started pulling on each of my fingers. "This angry, mouthy example of a modern woman is a Jewish, bisexual vegan who spends every waking hour complaining about women's rights and how people of her ilk have got it so bad." I clicked a few things, and then interlinked another video with my stream. "Us women do have it bad," I stated, "but we have it bad because of women like her. She's destroying traditional gender roles and sabotaging healthy relationships."

"See for yourself, boys" I said. "This is the kind of enemy I'm trying to protect you from." I played another small clip of Scarlet up on stage and telling some joke that was targeted at men. "You notice how she's always gunning for you, boys? Watch this too." I clicked another clip, and there was some random guy in the crowd, likely dragged along by his girlfriend. He heckled Scarlet, and then was immediately called a bigot in return. "See her tactics," I sneered. "Whenever anyone makes a justified criticism of her act, she plays possum. She uses the fact she's a Jewish woman as a weapon. Now, I have nothing against Jewish people, or any other religious beliefs, but see how she implied that guy was a racist? It's simply not on. The guy was just defending his manhood and she labels him a bigot. She publicly ruins his reputation. This is dangerous rhetoric, and she needs to be brought into line."

The comments were flying in as my subscribers were becoming further antagonised. Some were clumsily bashing misspelled insults, while others were already bragging about heading over to Scarlet's social media to troll her. I never endorsed or encouraged such behaviour, but I didn't forbid it either, as it served a purpose. This was a regular occurrence, and it only worked in my favour. A number of notable feminists had reposted clips from my streams, yet, it only raised my profile. Sure, I'd get angry women, but I'd lure in their haters too, who would quickly align with my own way of thinking and be thankful there was a woman around that 'understood' their struggles.

Quickly, my users began strategizing and exchanging ideas, and it was obvious they were working hard together. They boasted how they were trolling Scarlet right at that moment, and completely bombarding her social media pages with mocking and sarcastic comments. One guy even commented that he'd DM'd her, and she was actually messaging him back, as angry as ever. I watched along, never commenting, but allowing it all to play out.

The next thirty minutes continued in the same way. I loaded up a few more clips of Scarlet and added my own commentary. My subscribers ate it all up, and I was even sent over a few screenshots of them arguing with Scarlet and really riling her up. They were trolling her own followers too, and her posts were filled with comments of the exchanges.

I even had a few new sign-ups too, and my strategy was working. Clearly, my minions were luring in marginalised men who'd witnessed the furore on Scarlet's pages and were thankful there was a woman who wasn't frothing at the mouth with feminism, and instead, agreed with them.

I clicked a new user, and sent them over the obligatory welcome message. They didn't reply, though, they immediately posted in the chat:

STH2025:

You're the biggest fucking loser ever, Marielle, you gender traitor.

I rolled my eyes, because this kind of thing occasionally happened. Certain women's supporters would bite the bullet, pay a couple of dollars to join my page and then type some stupid hateful words in defence of their heroines. I usually just sarcastically thanked them for the cash, and then I'd mute them for the remainder of their monthly subscription.

I clicked the current disruptive, potty-mouthed culprit, and saw that they'd only subscribed to my page a couple of minutes ago. It was clearly one of Scarlet's sycophants on the attack.

"Welcome to Traditional Relationship Standards, STH2025," I said into the microphone while smiling in a patronising way. "Thank you for your donation." I gave a sarcastic thumbs up. "Good job, boys. You've reeled in another angry feminist to financially contribute to the cause." I was about to bring up another Scarlet clip, but then the user typed in the chat again:

STH2025:

I only paid because it was the only way I could access your stupid little loser circle jerk. Do you even know how much of a bitch move it is to hide your pathetic comments behind a paywall? Is that the only way you feel safe, queen of losers? Be a real woman and talk to me one on one, dipshit. You think you're a superstar sending your little incel minions after me? You're a fucking coward. It must be wonderful existing in your echo chamber of bullshit, but why don't you step out into the real world for once and actually speak to a normal, genuine woman, huh? Instead of whatever the hell you're pretending to be, you frigid cow. I see you're based in Kent from your careless ramblings. I'm here right now. Put your money where your mouth is and troll me to my face. We'll see who the real woman is, you suck ass.

I read back the message and something felt off. The comments were rolling in as usual, filled with cheers from my loyal followers, and the occasional troll trying to rattle me. However, as I read back STH2025's message a couple of times, there was a tightness in my chest I couldn't shake. It was just so vulgar and hostile.

A notification for STH2025 to join my live feed with their own camera popped up, and I instinctively moved to click decline. I'd allowed the feature, because it was sometimes helpful to have a subscriber share their dating woes, so I could talk things through with them and offer sympathetic advice. Sometimes, certain subscribers miss clicked and tried to join my stream, or the occasional idiot just wanted to mess around. I was about to click close, when another message appeared in the channel:

STH2025:

Accept my invitation, coward. Come on, you think you can send your incels to harass me, and now you're too chicken to talk to me one on one? Be brave and let's talk this out, woman to woman.

"Wait a minute," I whispered while rubbing my chin, and then I adjusted my hair behind my ears. "Boys, I think Scarlet the Harlot is actually in here with us. I think she's signed up to my page so she can come in here to try and disrupt the movement we're building together. This is exactly what I mean. These feminist women are all about destruction."

My comment had the suitable effect, as immediately, most of the other participants were turning on STH2025, ripping her to shreds and telling her to get the hell out. I was watching with interest, as though I'd been called out before, and occasionally I'd get an email from some pissed off feminist directly, none of them had ever actually joined my site and come after me. She'd had to pay money to access the chat, and that was surely amusing. I was even tempted to allow her video request, as she would likely shout and scream into the camera and give me some great future content.

"Well, thank you for handing me your money anyway," I said. "I didn't realise you were that interested in my advice, Scarlet the Harlot."

I didn't have to wait long for her rant to continue:

STH2025:

You're right about one thing. We do whine and complain, because women like us don't have it easy in life. Why the hell are you siding with the patriarchy and standing against us, traitor? You know what else women like us do? We embrace our sexuality, and we don't fuck losers like the guys you've rounded up into subscribers here. I can smell the virgin coming everywhere, along with your leader here. She probably hates confident, sexual women because she's terrified of it herself. Her pussy is probably dried up to hell. You guys realise that? She hates women like me because she's threatened by us. She sees us as competition, and the way we're so confident and comfortable in our gender makes her fade into obscurity.

As I read back her message, I found myself becoming a little anxious because she was so damn hostile. A few of the other subscribers were sending shocked emojis, while others were demanding I reply and kick her out. I tried to smile into the camera and act like it wasn't bothering me, but there was such toxicity in her insults that it almost felt personal. "Well, I, you know..." I paused mid-sentence, pretending to adjust the camera. "Hold up, boys, let me fix this angle," I said, buying myself a moment to breathe. My reflection in the monitor looked way less measured and in control like usual. The bags under my eyes were darker, the lines around my mouth deeper. The comment about me being a virgin, it was always such a childish attack. I mean, I was proud of it, and still these angry women used it as something to beat me with.

Thankfully, some comments came in and lifted my spirits slightly:

KingofKings:

Ignore the stupid bitch, Marielle. She's just angry and has a hostile vagina.

TheBigRedOne:

don't let this stupid bitch get to you!

FlashJordan:

Keep spitting truth, Marielle! You know we all think highly of you.

TheHolyOne:

kick her ass out right now. she's the exact kind of woman we're trying to avoid.
